Truer words have never been spoken about black dresses. My good friend got married at the Gardiner museum in TO. It was probably one of the swankiest events I'll ever be invited to. I freaked out about needing a formal gown. Searched high and low and found one at the Bay that cost way too much. In the end it didn't feel like me and I ended up wearing the most casual LBD that I usually reserve for funerals 😆

A lot of my friends are having weddings that don’t have dress codes!! But I think all of these dresses could have worked for them. I’m going to a wedding in September 24th that is “cocktail formal” and I rented the most gorgeous copper one-shoulder draped dress!

I don't like going to weddings (didn't like going to mine either)... I love the first dress the most, it is STUNNING✨ For me, number 2 and 3 are the yellow dress and the Audrey Hepburn short black one. Love these kinds of videos.
It is funny what you said about the short dress! I grew up in the middle east and we ONLY wore short dresses (form fitting or flowy) to weddings! .. and it was only those very very close to the bride.. mainly her sisters and mother and maaaybe her best friends who wore long dresses (that looked like prom dresses!)

Weddings and funerals are events where emotions are very strong.
Hookups often occur during them.
man these are so expensive..
One word of advice if you are invited to a wedding in Italy. Never, ever wear a black dress (or white but that's hopefully a given everywhere). Black for us is for funerals so it would be bad luck to be dressed in black at someone's wedding. We take it very seriously. Well, except for me. At my wedding I told people I didn't care about black or white etc but 99% of the times people are very conservative when it comes to weddings.
Viet weddings is easy. Dress your best. Bedazzle and glam the F out like you're about to hit the red carpets event. Viet weddings go all out, if you dress conservative or modest you will be outshined. Hard to outshine the bride no matter how glam guests are too. It's the bride's job to embrace her true vanity and know it's HER DAY so she needs to go all out and shine. We don't have much rules. Viet brides wear white but they also can wear red, but we don't have this nobody wears white or red rule. This must be a white people's rule.
