It's literally just screen mirroring on your face. It's not that special. The future takes time, so let apple and the other companies work on it.
Please do a comparison of all AR glasses.
How does this compare to the XREAL Air 2 please?
Sooooo, this thing doesn’t have any downsides? You pointed out all the good. What about the bad? It can not be all good! Tell the bad also.
This is a sponsored video. You wouldn't want to talk shit about any company paying you to review their product. Theyll probably cover the downsides once they buy their own copy that isnt sent in from the company
The bad you can’t use your eyes and hands to control it. Rather have Vision Pro
The glasses itself is a portable screen without data processing, the virtual screen always at the centre of your view so it may block your view of the real world, mostly happens when you try to use it as a second monitor.
For the station 2 the multi app operation has quite a lot unknowns, such as can it play 2 videos/ 2 sound sources at the same time, or open 2 chromes at the same time.
Well, they most of the time showed the screen records compared to real video(in some parts they showed it which was very laggy, slow, jittered)
The bad is the cable
As someone who travels for work quite a bit, I use the original Rokid Max with my Steam Deck and it's my favorite accessory by far. It's literally like having an OLED monitor in your pocket at all times. I used to pack a dock with me but I'd often have to fiddle with hotel room tv's or pray that I had access to changing the tv input. The Rokid Max allows me to never have to worry about that again.
If the Max 2 is even better than the original Max then it's 100% worth the money. Sure, they look a little funky when you where them but who cares. It's not about looking cool, it's about what you can do with them.
Would you say the station is worth it also? Or is just the glasses sufficient? I’m worried about motion sickness, how does it deal with that?
@@UuU1001. Honestly haven't used the station since I have access to any apps I would already need either on my Steam Deck or my smartphone. I've never had any problems with motion sickness personally. Though using it on a very bumpy ride would be more annoying than anything else. It's not like VR where you're immersed completely in a full virtual environment. This is just a floating screen in front of your face. So that's likely why motion sickness isn't an issue.
@@lundonclark1221 great thanks for response!
@@lundonclark1221 Good point. I feel like that often goes unaddressed in forums and promo vids and it's a concern for many people, myself included. It would seem there must be a good reason why XREAL and VITURE have invested the engineering time into providing wearable accessories to compute 3DoF tracked virtual screens. I figured I'd wait for native 3DoF at least for the "smooth follow" option thinking it was kind of the holy-grail of AR glasses, but now I'm thinking that might not actually be that beneficial. Hats off the youtuber who addresses the topic of whether or not "smooth follow" is even worth it in mobile scenarios. That might nudge people in the direction of earlier adoption.
the station is waste of money .too hard to use @@UuU1001.
Those glasses are a coat of white paint on the lenses away from making you look like a Minion.
Now I can't unsee it 😭😭😭
😂😂😂😂
My Rokid Max showed heavy burn-in after less than a year and regular usage. Also their service played around with me and is very bad.
Ill never buy Rokid again and warn you guys.
They repeatedly wanted me, four times, to try filming the displays of the glasses, the wiring, and the display of my computer in various ways with different background images, only to then inform me that the warranty had expired ten days ago.
They offered to send the glasses to China at my own expense, which would be higher than the purchase price.
Cool, but man whoever designed the actual glasses part has never designed glasses in their life. Why are the lens so close to each other. 😂
The designer is stuck in the Late 90s early 2000s y2k party vibes
Just got an email asking for shipping info, so it looks like they're almost ready to ship. Looking forward to finally getting my hands on one.
marathon gooning sessions at work just got even better
So will you be selling your AVP since you are so delighted with the Rokid?
this wasn't a review it was an advert
As a full ipad user this has my attention. ty for the product review!
Rokid acquired this review. I appreciate your demonstration of the operating system's sluggishness and the sideloading of all your applications from apkpure. If you observe closely, the RUclips video stutters when another application is open. Otherwise, I would prefer to purchase it from Amazon and return it within the policy if the return process is hassle-free.
Thank you for your feedback.
I am wondering if it's possible to adjust the viewing distance, as it currently feels like it's around 6 meters away. Could we make it closer, reducing the distance, or perhaps add a zoom in/zoom out feature?
Absolutely, you can! We have designed this feature to accommodate different user needs.
Are you able to watch downloaded videos? (Netflix, Prime, RUclips). Being able to watch movies while traveling is a big part of marketing for many of these glasses but unfortunately for most of them can’t play offline movies
Can you do a comparison between the xreal air 2 pro and the rokid ar lite. Before I was leaning to the xreal air 2 pro as the best, but this looks like a worthy contender.
Apple should have made a set of glasses similar using their technology connecting wireless to iPhone as brain unit
Sounds like a good concept!! I’d like to what version 2,3, and 4 brings!
It would be nice with these rokid AR light glass if you could hook them up to your iPhone and literally have a motion controller by using your phone in a few on screen keys from an app to give you the AR experience
Is the screen tearing from the product itself or the method used to record what the user is seeing?
I wonder if you can connect two pairs of glasses to one device. When I edit a film, I always work as a team. It would be cool if two people could see exactly the same thing on their glasses.
How does it compare to XREAL Air?
they basically are the same thing as the xreal air
xreal is better I think Max just did rokid bc they paid him to
the xreal air with the nebula AR on an android smartphone is working pretty fine! and if it's samsung you get Samsung dex also!!!
so a desktop experience using glasses and a smartphone
How do you control the phone while wearing the glasses? Like, how do you know where to press and how to navigate?
This time in these new models can you put a 512 or 1 TB "microSD"? this is very important.
They STILL have NOT shipped to Kickstarter backers as of Dec 10...
At the 10:57 mark on the video you show a projection of your Ipad screen. The iPad screen show four divisions of apps. How did you do that? I like it.
what about Window laptop and PC? does it support screen casting and multiple screen extension for WIndows OS as well? and when you connect them directly to PC, can you pin the display on specific place or it will follow your head movements?
Hello, Rokid Max2 can connect to Windows laptops and PCs. When directly connected, the display will follow your head movements.
That is the downside of Rokid for Windows. It's a high price for a fixed screen. This is my number 1 issue. The competition does work w Windows. It's like having the tech to do it but Rokid will not fix the issue. I have the Rokidmax, and the corner/side blur makes it not a product for work. Watch a movie or gaming is great.
full 720p per eye and 60Hz - the future is here! lol
I’ll probably end up buying this one instead of the xreal air 2 ultra which doesn’t even get them release date anytime soon
Curious if I connect it to my mac directly without the station 2, will it stay in a single space or does it goes with my face? forgot what that is called.
They can't lose when they keep naming things Max
I find it so funny that this runs on android but you didn't find it necessary to connect to an android phone
they can connect to android phones
What is the FOV, field of view of this device? I have a xreal air 2 glasses and the fov is only 45 degrees, which makes it good for videos but for anything else. If you use with your mac, will be annoying as when tou turn the head the screen will be cropped off
Can you test this with the Apple Watch? I want to see the performance on that.
Your channel has gotten a lot better, for a while to me it felt too Apple centric but now feels more fair and balanced. Also like your deep dives into performance of different devices and comparing to Windows and Android. You're one reason I bought into the apple ecosystem and enjoying it but also I'm inherently skeptical about tech companies including apple and always keeping an eye on android, windows, and linux -- especially as a DaVinci user with the new Windows on ARM. Thank you for providing valuable and entertaining content. This looks like a cool device, the Apple one just doesn't compel me and way too expensive at this point for me.
If you have an Apple ecosystem, cool. What about something for the PC?
these works with all devices. i'm not sure why the add focused on iphone. probobly because they don't see anything other than apple products
Is iOS compatible with these glasses? Like can you use MacBook, iPad and iPhone and get 3 screens on nebula? I am hoping these glasses can get me 3 screens for productivity.
I just want something to plug my iPhone into I can watch on my glasses.
Yes these support iPhone connection if you watch the full video you’ll see!!
what about virtual touch screen with special gloves?:)
Amazing video, looking forward to trying these!
Connected to a mac or pc, as a second screen, its not very useful because the screen moves along with your head
5:30 It looks terribly choppy or am i tripping? Soo much screen tear for example.
it's because the screen recording if you wear it will be smoother
The AR lite glasses are considered the rokid max 2
Apple should move much of the electronics to the battery box to reduce weight
But this is a thing you don’t have a Rokid AR lite no offense it’s not even out yet you might have the rocket max or the max pro but the AR lite is still in Kickstarter and they have not shipped them out to nobody yet
so whats the difference between this and rokid max
This is not the company's first rokid glasses. RUclipsrs have been paid to say how well established it is. Fact is, if it was as good, then why Kickstarter? I'll wait till its proper launch
This would be my vision for VR as well, why strap the device to your face when you can just plug it in to a device like this?
Just wondering... can you connect these glasses to a Mac mini so that the glasses serve as the main display?
Hi, yes it can.
How much power does it suck from the iPhone when it is connected via the cable?
Hi there, the power consumption when the glasses are connected to your iPhone via the cable is similar to when your phone is not connected to the glasses.
What about Rokid Max,? Can you connect Rokid Max on apple products?
you can, yes. but i wish apple would make a mode on apple phones that make it so that the screen share was not just a "mirror"
@@carlpayne2436 If you use Station2 for wireless casting from an iPhone or MacBook, it can achieve 3DoF.
Why is it so jittery
Yeah It’s so bad 😅
Unfortunately it’s just part of the screen recording. When you’re watching you don’t see that. The same thing happens with the Vision Pro, in the screen recording you get jitter and shake but you don’t see it.
Quest3 doesn't jitter at all
How’s the edges in screen? Are they still blurry?
these have two types of built in eye adjustments to make a clear screen. physical dials. and a digital spacer
It the battery pack quiet or is there a loud fan? What's the noise level from 1-10?
There is a small fan, but it isn't very loud.
Love the idea... Apple really need (and quick) to make a similar product to compete with this one as I can see no one is going to buy the VisonPro after this!
Not gonna lie…these things look super weird when you put them on… not sure why but it looks like it’s 3 inches away from your face 😅 But love the content!!!
I want to connect to my pc and wanna have image stabilization with. Doesn't look like works that way
Hello, if your PC has a USB-C connector, you can try connecting directly. If it has an HDMI port, you can use an HDMI adapter to connect the Max2.
In a couple year will be good , but now there is many company trying to push those product and they are all the same and every review seem bias probably paid so nah will wait
Does it play 360/180 videos like the ones available on RUclipsVR?
If so, What is the quality?
With the built-in Hyperweb Browser, 360/180 videos are supported and the playback quality is quite good.
@@RokidGlobalbut no motion tracking so not a true vr experience
Such a choppy performance. Wonder how those fair against XREAL Air 2
0:33 yeah no bud that screen tearing is not the future of AR 💀
And oh since I got the chance to do this because it’s all I get to hear ApPlE ViSIoN hAD tHe bAsE PaCK FiRst
Comparing AR with VR, smart.
So can I watch 3d movies on Apple TV?
Why didn’t have the Electrochromic Dimming levels
Convinced and backed...couldn't resist. Thx
Rokid has Rokid Max AR Glasses on Amazon currently, is there any difference between the current one and the glasses of AR Lite?
you can actually use the rokid ar studio 2 with the current pair of rokid max glasses. the only difference in the glasses themselves are a bigger frame, a digital diopter in addition to the physical dials to make the screens clearer
It seems that the device is catered for apple products in majority. Anything for Windows or Android?
Tim really punchin the air after seeing this
The tearing/jittering (pardon my English) is glaring when we see actual display footage.
Like I mentioned that’s a but in the screen recording right now. You don’t see it when wearing.
Suspicious, so while using the iPad, it’s smooth af, but natively, it’s entirely lagging. I really can’t understand, that you are trying to sell that product for them, since it’s a complete trash in each and every aspect - compared to the Vision Pro.. Are they paying you so much, that it’s worth lying to your audience?
@@MaxTechOfficial sorry I left after the 6 minutes mark as the advertising is strong with that one, I'll wait to see the final product review before having an opinion.
Honestly, it's beyond me how any company can justify selling such a low-quality product at the price they're asking. It feels like a complete rip-off. Save your money and invest in something more reliable.
This product is a prime example of how far a company is willing to go to deceive customers with flashy marketing rather than delivering a functional, high-quality product.
Could not agree more
Resolution: FHD 1920x1080 pixel RGB per eye
not 4K
What about if people wear prescription glasses. Will they have an option for them?
Yes I believe these support prescription inserts
they don't support prescription inserts. they have both a depth wheel on the glasses as well as a digital diopter that changes the spacing on the screen
The glasses support 0-600 degrees of near vision adjustment, and if your vision is outside of that, we support additional customized lenses.
What wss that switch adapter
Seems interesting. I can’t imagine it could be heard on an airplane with all the background noise.
But, “beam forming speakers.”
I absolutely don't get why Google or another big company develops these glasses, absolutely not understandable.
how responsive the Yoda Os ?
YodaOS-Master is the best space operating system in AR.
No. Horrible design. People want to wear AR glasses and not be noticed by others, like every other sunglasses and live your life normally while also having the ability to shop/try clothes virtually, play Yugioh on the street or have actual MMORPG battles on the street, they want to have a GPS that shows them the way they should go or the weather available. Sure watching youtube and scrolling social media is nice but it is not the correct vision of enhancing reality as we know it. I have been saying AR glasses is the future for 10 years now, I am just waiting for the company that will have their own "iPhone" moment and combine the possibilities.
no scene recognition, no VR, no real AR , additive rednering means you can't have blacks without blocking the lens, no hand tracking, no facial tracking. they are two sepearte product lines. apple is expected to be making these type of glassses too.
What is the FOV?
sell sell sell!
How do you type without keyboard?
Looks very jittery. I think I would get motion sick within seconds.
I would like to think that is just how it looks in the recording and not why you're actually wearing them, I have used a pair of rokid Max before and it wasn't jittery like that. I'm wondering if HS doesn't have the power to record very smoothly during the pass-through. Also this is like a beta product so there's that possibility
Does station 2 work as a converter for devices that don't support usb c-dp? please answer
Hi, yes it can. For example, Android phones can use apps like Chromecast, Miracast, or DLNA to achieve wireless casting functionality.
feels like another rabbit r1
Search found there was older version 6+ mos ago named Rokid AR Joy Pack AR Glasses. Available on Amzn. One obvious bad thing was getting too hot to touch after tens of mins. How does this Lite compared to Rokid AR Joy Pack?
Rokid AR Lite is the latest version of our spatial computing smart glasses set, featuring upgrades in both the Max2 and Station2. The early bird price on Kickstarter is a great deal.
💀💀💀so how did the apocalypse start …
So what u saying is u could wear these during work and watch a whole ass movje 😂
Sponsored videos are fine. Infomercials are not.
doesn't appear to be able to use hand gestures
There are many glasses like this . They are great
Shy not just have it link up to your phone. Cos everyone’s phone is a hand held computer
Why not*
Ohhhhh ok. Didn’t watch til later in the video so was confused why ya didn’t just use your phone instead of that bock haha
Can you watch 3D movies?
Yes!
@@RokidGlobalHello, can I watch movies from blu ray player in 3d? Thank you.
what about android ?
Looks too small and kind of a dork after putting them on
Wowww 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Looks very late early 2000s retro mixed with early 90s awkward as far as aesthetic. Not making fun just what it looks like to me. I had a cheap VR goggle set from like 1999 that was made for composite video and it was pretty neat at the time that looked not to far off but way more bulky. Just kinda wild it took this long to see the tech explored more by a wider market
you are really comparing a smart glasses weight with a vr headset weight ?
Just tell me you want the people to buy your product without thinking. cheap add
👽
They look silly...They "eyes" look too close together.
Maybe it's a good AR glass but it looks a little bit ridiculous. 🤓
