  • Part X as this one doesn't really fit in with the rest, the Fujitsu RX1330 M1 was a cheap entry level server when new, it was an easy and simple server to get up and running...but after a while and some use they had some issues and when you wanted to upgrade or bits failed the costs ramped up, I do NOT recommend this server as a lab server just due to the prices for spares and silly issues that you don't get with the same age Dell/HPe servers, some of this video also applies to the TX1330 as well as they shared a lot of similar components
    Power used by this server
    Off - 7.8W
    OS Idle - 40W
    OS Full Load - 107W
The servers I purchased for the lab can be found at a reasonable cost
    Dell R420 - £80 - £90 barebones
    Dell R320 - £80 Barebones
    HP DL190 Gen9 - £120 Barebones
This is the oldest generation I would recommend you buy, anything older and its a waste of money and power
Yes I waffle on alot in this video :-D

Dang man....thank you for the PSA on Fujitsu RX1330's. They run about $400 US but not worth the headache.

NEVER use a raid controller with flash drives.. never! Unless you want to lose your data not here not nowhere

Actually the Tower variant: TX1330 M1 is really good. Components are cheap - at least here in Germany...
And you can change the time and even turn off the FAN test in the iRMC S4 that is built in. At least in the tower variant...

The problem is the raid controller on the TX is still the same and they just don't like SSDs unfortunately, getting bits is easier as they were alot more common but the fact Fujitsu changed the caddy's on the RX series then wanted astronomical money for them is poor

Can't say anything about the included controller, I got an CP400i and reflashed it to SAS3008 with IT mode... served me well...

Well, the only problems i've ever had with that machines (i have 3 of them) are only that they now give me an keyboard error since i did some linux stuff on them...
And getting PSUs for them is actually not that hard, i mean, the model number (starting always with A3C40) is not thaaaat hard to find :)

I got myself the tower version. I had not seen your video though. It was very cheap and I needed a server... i am wondering if it is as bad.
