What a great conversation. Really helps to hear this stuff from guys around my age. I'm at this weird spot where I've been telling myself for years that I'm absolutely fine with being bald even though I'm clearly not. when people ask me about it I'll tell them that I just don't care. I know other bald dudes and I do not give a single fuck that they're bald and I don't find anybody else unattractive because they're bald. I don't necessarily find bald women unattractive either! I can still get dates and people still sometimes tell me that I'm handsome so that has been part of my coping mechanism as well. But this is the messed up part: When I'm taking my coat off in a public place and I accidentally drop my hat I'll absolutely lose my shit trying to get it back on my head as fast as possible. I feel like everybody's looking at me. Like I've exposed myself! One time this girl wanted to try my hat on when I was in a bar and I was like: "Haha! Sure :DDDDD", but inside I was like "OH FUCK! OH FUCK! NOW SHE'S GOING TO SEE THAT I'M BALD! WHAT WILL EVERYBODY THINK?"- and... Absolutely nothing happened. Big surprise! I can go out with a bald head if I've just shaved but even then I'm super self conscious about it. After looking at some of your content, I think I need to start being more honest to myself about how being bald is making me feel and actually start practicing being out in public in my "natural state". Thanks for all the inspiration! I didn't even know I needed it...

Thank you Harry for this wonderful podcast. I had a very similar experience in my Erasmus months, sharing this with us let us being aware of the fact that we are not alone or weird.
I always found that whenever i brought up the topic of wanting to go bald, the ones who were against it were the ones who were also struggling with hair loss.
Bro you gotta be joking right? It’s literally the opposite lol. Whenever I talk about wanting to keep my hair, everyone else tells me to just ‘sHaVe iT br0’ and look like vin diesel, the rock, Jason Statham. And don’t forget to grow a beard
Definitely still watching. Even though I’ve been shaving my head for a year and a half now, it’s always interesting to hear others’ experiences. There’s common ground in all of them. We truly are a band of bald brothers!

Love your channel dude. Have embraced baldness for years, by shaving my melon. Recently gone for the SMP treatment and I tell you what… I’m over the moon. I rocked a shaved head anyway, but the SMP has filled in the cracks and I’m buzzing. But your channel is fantastic. I’ve grown up dreading baldness as it runs in the family, but so glad to have found a treatment that has resolved my insecurities.
How long do you (whoever is reading) reckon growing out the beard (without any shaping) before going to a barber and getting it "professionally" shaped? I have a wide jaw/face and anytime I grow a beard for a few weeks I want to shape it so I dont look like a caveman... and when I do i ALWAYS angle my beard in a way that makes my face look even wider/fatter; therefore I end up shaving it all down. I just made this mistake again after growing it out for a month and just shaved. REGRET!
It really is a huge deal when it happened. But shaving is an end. It does end it. I was the worst for it to happen to. Loved my hair, took picture of just my hair and bragged one Instagram “I don’t care who tells you otherwise, but THIS is hair.” I even carried pomade and a comb. Then it started falling out at as soon as I turned 19, shaved at 20, right before I turned 21. I’m 22 now and love the look.

Feeling better is one thing, being realistic is another as well. The vast majority of balding guys, especially Asian cannot pull off the masculine look, and many cannot grow a decent beard. Not to mention you need to have a decent enough head shape to be able to pull off the bald look. Being short doesn’t help either. Sure, you can workout and what not, but there’s only so much you can control.
