Kelly, what a spectacular quilting job you have done. Each petal is so wonderful. You are a fantastic quilter. Such a pleasure to watch. Thank you for you demo.
My compliments to the cameraman/woman on this video. We can see clearly the quilting on this panel. Kelly has done a wonderful job. Thanks Vicki for a great show.
I'm so glad you did this video. I bought a panel but I couldn't see the centers and thought it was my old eyes......so I never attempted to so anything with it......after watching this I may give it a goal. They are all gorgeous!!
Oh what a treat! I have taken mine and done the outlining in different shades but have gotten stuck with fear that my feathers aren't so great, but hey!, now you have reminded me that the cost is minimal and I can just try it again if I have wet chicken feathers! "Be fearless!"
This was sew AWEMAZING!!!! Love Vicki and Kelly - I am just in awe ♡♡♡ Wonderful wonderful job Kelly - I absolutely love your middle on the white DB with the stamens, really makes the center "pop"! Thank you Handi-Quilter for filming this to share with us. I can't remember what Kelly said she uses in the bobbin? I'll just have to re-watch and re-watch again! I have six of these panels, but NOW I know they are going to come out with a queen size one, let's me know I can make the others as gifts! Happy Stitching! :)
love this video. Vicki, you do such a good job with questions to point out fine details of what we all want to know or need to know in order to improve our quilting (such as how to make choices and ever where to place lighting) The camera was expertly handled as well. Your presentations have audio and visual matched up -- it is a joy to watch and learn. Thank you so very much.
oh Vicki thank you for having Kelly do this.. and showing what threads and needles she uses and how she quilts the negative space on the center detail.. I have the deep purple panel. I am going to quilt mine on my cutie frame with my pq1500s. Thank you !
This is so helpful with this particular panel which I am yearning to play with. Such practical ideas to give me inspiration. I will be re-watching when I get round to doing one myself. Thanks
Awesome! Thank you Kelly, for sharing how you tackle this beautiful fabric! I will be looking for the smaller version also. So much inspiration and I am excited to start my panel that I have just been thinking about.
In the opening of your video you mentioned you have a smaller version of the Dream Big panel. That is what I am Searching for. Where can I purchase the smaller version?
I have done two of these panels…the Dahlia and the Poinsettia. I spray and pin basted. Started in the center and outlined each petal before doing the dense fillers. Got wavy edges , grrrr! Any suggestions to prevent the wavy edges? The quilts both measure square on the edges and on the diagonals. I quilt on a sit down long arm.
Because this is a digitally printed fabric, have you found it a problem having lighter back of the fabric coming up to the top in the darker top areas of the quilt? I've heard that a ball point needle can help with this problem. Your quilting Kelly is spectacular. Love these panels!!
Thankyou so much for this. I’m inspired to do 2 of these on my Simply16, one in feathers & another in various fills. Now I have to choose which colour way to get ???
When using the 100wt. thread,,do you only thread it through two holes on the thread guide since it is so fine, or even just one hole? And what does 700 mean when she talked about the speed in manual mode? I tend to do 40% when I sew.
Just now watched this amazing video. What an inspiration for me! Ill probably start with a smaller print, but this is a must try! Ardelis of Windy Hill Quilts in Oregon
I like to just baste projects directly on sweet 16 that are this size. It is very quick. I pin 6 or so pins on top edge. Hang layers down with gravity. Baste center top and down. Move over palm width and repeat across. Takes about 3 minutes and basting stitches just pull out very easily. My husband is waiting for me to use it to tie my shoes...
I have a question. I'm a newbie and have the panel that has 3 different flowers, but I also have the big one. When you said you go around each petal, then unpin, do you mean you do that to turn the quilt to finish all the petals? I'm not quite sure why you would have to unpin it. Thank you.
I stitch around each petal all the way to the bottom then take out the pins attaching the top to the leader so that I can roll back and forth to quilt more densely in each petal.
I noticed that 2. Very disappointing coz some great questions. Would like to know how you do the 2 battings at one time, but unless a viewer answers....
Here you go again. You don’t let her get a word in edgewise! Look how frustrated her face looks when you keep interrupting her! Stop trying to interview people!
Love watching you videos. Current and older ones.

Main objective is sell, sell, sell, handiquilter products....
Why did the quilter become a Sith? Because everything she did always went to the dark side.
