Matt and Savanna, what a bright spot you have become for thousands of people. As a retired university voice professor I have used some of your videos to demonstrate to young and old voice students how letting go of tension and allowing the breath to spin through the vocal line is possible. Aside from the technical aspect, you are both so musical. Although my career was all in classical performance, I am really hooked on your performances as you share from your hearts. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH!

I found the Shaws at the early stages of covid, right after they posted "The prayer". I was so touched, and moved, by their poignant and thoughtful rendition. I have listened to everything they have done since then. Sometimes, I feel like I'm the unofficial head-honcho of their fan club because I have told so many people about them, I have shared their music with everyone I know, and I have written about them on social media and to friends in far off places. Since my life has been so helped for the better, I've wanted others to feel those same things, too. I am really grateful that I stumbled on to this video about them. It was fun, yet again, to hear them talking about their music and what it means for them. And, I love your show and how you present people and opportunities. You have done such a stellar work here. Thank you so very much!!! And, the fun thing is I taught for tens of years in the community where the Shaws reside. I'm pretty sure I've had Savanna's friends in class. And, I know I would have loved having Savanna like I have loved having her friends in class and getting to know them. These are amazing teenagers and they are doing thoughtful, great, loving things with their lives. I'm so grateful I've gotten to come along for this ride. I just love you two. The cutest. You brighten my day. Every time I feel down, I know I can watch you and feel peace. My family used to gather around the piano. My brother is an amazing guitarist, I play the piano that I have owned since age 7 (I am 64). Momma sang lead, sometimes alto and Daddy sang tenor (reminds me of another song lol).

I would not say you saved my life but in hard times music is hope, meaningful and gives strength. For me from the beginning of your first Video I am so astonished how the music seams to make Savanna more and more becoming save. I know what I am talking about. To learn guitar allowed me the power to lead other people through music and makes me more sure to say my opinion. I am still sometimes a shy person in a huge surrounding but feel more like myself if I say something. You can’t be loved from all people...but from yourself and your family...the others are a kind of bonus if they like you. And as an adult and a woman I like to see how Savanna changed in front of the camera...I can’t say what’s behind the scenes...hope it’s the same. Whatever happens...short or long story of music in public...you take the experiences for your whole life. All best wishes for your whole family Mat an Savanna.

I know NOTHING about music so forgive me for asking for this. Just a thought. Your voices are absolutely beautiful!!!!!!! I would love a cd of happy songs like your L-O-V-E song. Maybe songs like My Girl, I Saw Your Face And That's The Last I Saw Of My Heart, Tie a Yellow Ribbon, There Is A Kind of Hush, etc. I love you guys. Music is such a mood setter that I was looking for something to play when I am sad to lift me up. Soulful songs are great too but when I heard you sing L-O-V-E, it was such a fun happy song that I wanted a whole lot more of that for those days of long, cold, winter days.
A very sweet and informative interview. Being residents of Utah I assume the Shaw's are members of the LDS church but they've never mentioned it. It really doesn't make any difference because they seem like a sweet family and whatever their beliefs are is unimportant to the performances they share with us.

I have loved each of your performances, however, the first The Prayer performance is my favorite. Please do keep going on your own terms. When I listen to your voices it truly inspires!
