I purchased the big beat cymbal pack which included the 15HH, 18, 20 & 24. Originally I paired them with my vintage ‘73 Slingerland set and now use them with my 2016 Mapex Saturn V set in a pop cover band. As you pointed out the cymbals work great for many styles of music which we play. The darker tone helps with volume control but open up nicely when needed for more aggressive songs. They are my go to cymbals over my Zildjian Ks, Avedis, & A Customs. For brighter attack and another band I’m in I use Sabian HHX Complex cymbals.

I was just looking for a complete and exhaustive review on this series of Paiste, and yours was very useful. Complete and straightforward...
Surely the 24" is a beautiful ride, with very articulate but precise nuances and the 20" is a loud sound crash.
    Two purchases guessed...
    good music ❗

I would hesitate to use the work 'darker' .... but maybe moreso... 'warmer' than the 2002?

I just got the 15s for my mid volume setup. I dig ‘em. Very dynamic. Cheers!

Had a set of 1977 2002 sound edge hi hats that were unused so ending up pairing them with big beats rather than new 2002s. Seems to work

Would have loved to have heard it played on straight 8s without Accents every downbeat on this video. Or even straight 16ths...
