Very nice! Those dash's seemed to all crack. That is awesome that they make replacements. Just wondering though, do you think if a person installed window visors and always left the windows open an inch, if that would keep the heat out and prevent cracking? It would definetely keep fresh air circulating.
Thanks! Yeah Dodge took short cuts in their engines, transmissions, suspension, and dash parts. I looked for something original but they all had cracks and didn't want to bother with another brittle piece of plastic. I have those visors on my truck and leave mine cracked about an inch hoping that would reduce the heat some along with that carpet cover but only time will tell.
The resin mix that is used to make the dashes is subpar and is the cause of the cracking dash problem that Dodge has known about for decades. There hasn't been a recall because it's not considered to be a safety problem, just cosmetic.
How do you like the new tires so far? My concern is interstate noise, as i drive mostly on interstate hwys. I have hwy tires currently, but on wet grass i have almost zero traction.
Great video. Much better than that one where the guy has various family members crying about the cracks in the dash.
Glad you liked it! Haven't seen that video and don't think I want to LOL!
My dad used to have 2002 GMC Sierra but not no more
Is it just clips and pop it in? Thanks for the video!
Yes that's all you have to do. Thanks!

UV is the culprit. These new replacements have UV protectant, and may be the last bezel.

My wife's truck was garage kept and it still cracked.

They are great! Smooth ride at highway speeds and they grip pretty good on wet roads.
