I'm so SORRY that anyone would be so cruel to Priscilla. That makes me incredibly sad for you😢. We know you're both great parents and that you both adore and are so involved with both kids. You're great, hon.
@@Maguire708Julie I think of it as the typical teenage years when “mom knows NOTHING” but somewhere between 25-30 we all turn the bend back to mom and she’s friend again 🤣🤣
I am an autistic adult. I have a lot of independence but I will always need support in my life. I go through my own dynamic changes with individuals in my family depending on the season in life. I love my entire family in different ways. It's okay that Asa is Abbie's buddy. It's okay she goes to Priscilla for food. It. Is. Okay. Keep doing what you're doing. Abbie and the way you help her helps me learn about my own autism, and understand more about myself. By doing that you help me help my family help me in the way I need it. Thank you so much. I for one am glad I found you guys.
Plus: A lot of families have the daughter closer to the Dad and the son closer to the Mom. There is no difference in your family. Abbie has the best Mom, the best Dad, and the best brother! You are a great team!
I am right with the other person who never comments, but in this I was crying. Priscilla you are a beautiful woman, mother and wife. What a wonderful husband you have in Asa , with absolute great dignity he and you addressed this comment , how proud he is of you! You make a wonderful team. Bless you both for the wonderful people you are and mom and dads.
I started crying when Priscilla began crying. That is so cruel that someone would say something like that. People do not know the behind the scenes of these videos. Priscilla does a lot, and actually inspires me to do more volunteering. Sending hugs 🫂 to you Priscilla, please do not cry!
You are a remarkable mom, In my opinion everyone has different relationships with each parent. I've seen how she misses you when you are gone and how happy she is when you get home Priscilla. You could say you are her best friend, she is so comfortable in knowing how much you love her, that she knows you are there for her if she needs you. It just shows how great of a Mom you are in knowing she has grown into a young adult who does have a little more independence from Mom. Like every mom and daughter relationship. I'm so sorry it hurts your heart. You are amazing!!!
Your channel is called "FATHERING" Autism.. not "PARENTING" Autism, and Priscilla is choosing not to be involved.. She IS involved. We just don't see it all... Love me some Priscilla ❤
I'm just catching back up on videos . My mother was more interested in alcohol than me. Priscilla is the mother I wish I would have had. Her patience and mama bearing is so heart warming and fills those tiny holes in my heart. Even though this may never be seen by you guys, she's the best and yall have the best supportive family.
You both have had my upmost respect, support and admiration for everything that you’ve chosen to share throughout the years that I’ve followed your channel. Just want to say thank you for always being real.
Yall had me crying. I have two daughters. 21 and 19. My youngest dislikes me every other day. Complete opposite from when she was younger. She randomly came up to me a few days ago and gave me the biggest hug. It was a little scary but I embraced it. 😂 Tomorrow is a whole different day with her. Parenting is different for everybody and everybody has their place. Its so easy for people to criticize. It needs to be easier for people to uplift one another. I have seen nothing but love from all of you towards each other. I enjoy watching yall so much! ❤❤❤
Priscilla, You are so right! Parenting changes when kids become young adults. What better gift could you give your family then to have become a professional woman in your own right after years of intense parenting when the kids were little. Your parenting perspective is so healthy!!!! My Mom always told me keep your identity; stay interesting! ❤️
It means so much about your personalities and character that you took the time to talk about this issue that moved you. Like you really wanted us on the other side of our screens to understand how you make your decisions. Very loving. We appreciate you and care how you're doing
Bless you Priscilla, I felt everything you said, I totally understand. You are an amazing mom! Every family is different and it's ok. I have raised 7 boys and I was their everything while their dad worked. Each son has their favorite for certain things. But doesn't mean one of us don't care about every aspect in our childrens lives. Now our youngest is 19 now. You keep being you and your doing an amazing job. Lots of love to you and your family.
You are loved and appreciated Priscilla! People should appreciate that you have done it all and it's okay for dad to do it now while you do you. It sets a great example for your children that is okay for mom to nurture and work as well as dad can be a nurturer now. Relationships with your children change when they become adults and change when they become parents and they realize all you've done for them. You are such a sweet loving couple after all these years when most marriages cannot survive let alone with having a special needs child and all the extra work with insurance, school, services and care giving. I love that you are working the polls😅 and the youngest there. They are lucky to have you and I'm sure you'll be nurturing them.
I love how passionate you are about Abbies progress. I get so excited when my kids get something we have been teaching. Yes, you have to teach every detail.
I have four girls and have never felt more Priscilla saying “I’m her mom and he’s her best friend”. My two youngest give me the hardest time but their dad is all fun. All my girls call me first when they need things or the world is complicated.

I've been a subscriber for quite a while now but I came across one your recent videos and remembered how much I enjoyed watching them and seeing your family just do the day to day life of normal people trying raise an autistic child (young adult now) as normally as possible with the hand they were dealt. I just love the vibe, especially Priscilla (love yours also, Aisa, I'm just incredibly drawn to Cilla for some reason). That being said, of all the probably 20+ videos I've binged the last few days trying to catch up on what I've missed the last several months, this is one of the realest and most vulnerable ones I've seen thus far. And so well said by the both of you. This is genuinely a conversation that other struggling parents should see and take in. Two spouses supporting where each other is currently at in their journeys and in their relationships with the adult children. It always going to be an ebb and flow to these things, but you guys are BOTH killing it! I'm so very happy that Cilla is able to focus on herself more at this stage in life and that Abby is so close to her dad right now. There's absolutely nothing wrong with anything you guys are doing right now. Lots of love from NC. Thanks for sharing your family with us! 💜
I love Priscilla's energy and her excitement for new things she is achieving! Your home is filled with love, your love for your children, your love for each other. Its beautiful to see this amazing family and we appreciate you letting us be part of it ❤
I understand the feeling, because it’s one thing if you’re trying to help someone who u care about like a family member, and in my situation, my parents and younger brother still continue to help me with situations that are difficult for me to handle. I’m sorry that you’re dealing with those situations, but I really enjoy watching your videos! And they put a huge smile on my face! And I’m so glad that I found your channel, because when I started my channel, I didn’t even know any channels that helped people who have special needs like me, hugs to both you and your family!❤️❤️
Even though poll worker is for voting and the other pole worker is for dancing - I started laughing when I immediately had the image of Pricilla at a poll dancing with music playing in the background and Abbie;s doing her clapping and yelling while her mom's busy dancing.
Some people just don’t understand handicap people one time I had a preacher. Tell me that I was wrong because I moved the grass and Carson wash the dishes. Your family you’re a unit that works together to get the job done. My husband was physically handicap I am physically handicap he does what he can do. I do what I can do.i have been his his caregiver for years. I have been his caregiver 24 seven he cannot walk cannot talk and some people just don’t get it, so hats off you got you’re doing great job. Keep it up. Love you love you.
❤ I work in an autism unit and apply ABA strategies, which is why I follow your channel. It's fun for me to see how what we do at school helps at home... Also, my biological kids are neuro-typical. Boys, 18 & 20. I, too, was home with the kids and did most of the things when they were little. It is fun watching them become best friends with their dad. I get the "how do I make a doctor appointment?" Calls. Dad gets the "Hey, get on discord!" calls.
I need a friend like Pricilla, she’s so upbeat and up for anything. I am a introvert all the way but I think Pricilla could convince me to be less scared of being me.
I'm so sorry you were made to feel bad, Priscilla. Sending you a huge hug. You're amazing, don't let anyone question that about you as a parent or as a person. You keep doing you, the most important people in your life will support you no matter what, and that's all that should matter. I hope you can brush this off and be back to being your funny, sweet, confident, beautiful self. Keep on keeping on, Maas family, you got each other and we got you(the people who have watched your channel for years and enjoy it anyway).
Priscilla, you’re one of the best moms I’ve ever seen! I hate that y’all have to justify your parenting rolls. You love your kids and take turns bringing all the things to the table for them, and those of us that have watched for years and seen the dynamics change understand that entirely and feel the love. And you’re right, you’re so much more than just “mom and dad” and have challenges that most people couldn’t comprehend or handle themselves. Y’all are champs and we love you just the way you are 💕
From one autistic grandma to an autism mom you are an amazing mom. Don’t let people get to you. I look up to your family . You are all amazing people mom dad Isiah. I love your videos. You truly help me.
I have no words. I love this family. If you dont like what you're seeing stop watching. Just gripes me how people try to break down every little thing they see. Love you family. I enjoy this show very much.
I understand those tears. I am the one that works and my husband stays home. For the first 5 years of my sons life, I was the stay at home parent. Now my son is 7 and my husband is the stay at home parent. That is what works for us!!! My son is on the spectrum and needs someone with him 24/7. One of us has to stay home, not everyone has a village or should I say a village willing to watch a special needs child. I love your family because of how much it reminds me of my family. Keep doing what you are doing!
“All the poles right, any poll all over town”😂 “They can call me for any poll and I’ll be there”🤣 “Start at the bottom and working my way up”😂🤣 “She’s out here being patriotic on that poll y’all”🤣 Love y’all, you guys are amazing❤
People that need confirmation because maybe they don't know how to be a mom they seem to put people down. My oldest daughter does it every time we get into a fight that I'm such a bad mom. But I would never tell her that even though she lost her son due to drugs. People hurt people who hurt themselves. Priscilla she only wishes she could be the mom you are. Remember, hurt people hurt others. That's why u are such a blessing to watch. Love you girl keep doing you need to do.
Preach Cilla...I hate that some unimportant person hurt your feelings. Closed minded people should not take up space in your head or your heart. You're doing great.. from one woman to another I'm proud of what you've done for your children and what you are doing for yourself and your family. Chin up take a breath and move forward. ❤
I am very thankful that you guys share this stuff. It is very personal but it does help people like me who have a small children with autism. I'm trying to figure out what the future is going to look like. You guys talking about your feelings and your struggles, helps us to prepare for things that "normal" people will never even experience.
People tend to be judgemental when they only see approximately 30 minutes of you day(s). Some people have nothing better to do than hurt people because they are hurting. I have been watching you guys for years and I have seen both of you being parents to a special needs child all the while trying to be great parents to Isaiah and hold down jobs. Cilla, don't let those people get to you. You are doing a great job, both of you!
You are very family oriented. I feel you’ve got it all figured out. Don’t let the haters bring you down. You spend so much time together. Celebrate your success.
My heart is sad that someone would discourage or tear you down Pricilla. You are Amazing and don’t let anyone make you feel you are not doing the right thing. As a mom of a special needs adult son, I have seen it too. You are Awesome, both odd you are💜💜💜
I just have to say, I love y'alls dynamic. The way you work together works and the love you have for each other shows. Kudos for having each other's back!
You both are amazing parents. I went through that with both my kids. I have a special ed kid they do what they want at that age. Don’t cry you’re a great mom.
Marriage is team work, not each role is the same but each is valuable. The roles will change as the years pass but you adapt together. Congratulations on being a great team ❤
I think both of you do a wonderful job parenting. Just the fact that Isaiah is so loving with Abby shows so much. People need to think before they type. Thanks for sharing your lives with others. I am so impressed with both of you.
Priscilla I cried watching you cry. You are 100% correct. Our children get older and the relationship changes. It doesn’t matter that Abbie has a disability as it shouldn’t. We age we change. I have a grown daughter and our relationship changed also. They need us less and become a friend in a different way. That doesn’t mean we don’t help them when needed. It only means they mature and we get a bonus friend as well as a child. What adult do we know that would want us standing over them day in and day out? My daughter is my best friend ( along with my husband). My love for her will never change . I would still take on a lion for her if need be . She’s not only my child, my baby, my heart. Now I’m proud to add friend to the list. From one mother to another Congratulations you have done an amazing job.
My daughter is 30 and married and is still daddy's girl....She texts him and shares things with him more than she ever does with me and that is ok but it does hurt a little and tears come sometimes like for you Priscilla ....I totally understand what you guys are saying....Life has different stages and relationships are fluid....Every family is different and you guys do an Amazing job....Thanks for sharing yourselves and your family with us....Love you.....
This channel as Assa mainly doing the filming and commentary. I’ve really enjoyed watching their family as a whole. I’ve met all of them at one of their Meet and Greets. Plus,as a bonus Summer was there. I have learned so much from this family about Autism. This family has taught me about life in general in so many ways. Please be kind ya’ll. We live in a society that has led more to be cruel than kind. I choose to be kind
I am 25 going on 26, and my mom is my best friend and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I am focused on my career and life as a recent college grad. Please do not let the negativity get to you. You guys are awesome people and I could not have chosen better people to be a supporter of
Your a blessed mom that your daughter has a safe space with you. Your her best friend in her ways. You both are so blessed to have each other. I have loved watching you both. I have my daughter watching you to help. My Adam is my loving grandson that needs. help allot. I thank you for you allowing us to watch. ❤🙏
Priscilla you are an amazing mom. You do so much for her - paperwork, clothing, food etc. - don’t let people bring you down. Like you have said she is a grown woman. Don’t let people bring you down - you are providing for her in so many ways. I did the same thing and did all I could for my kids when they were growing up - and I got lost - no one knew me by name I was “Tiffany’s mom” or “Kimberly’s mom” - no one knew me by Deanna - so I found an outlet for me time and became a much better person - you need you time. Don’t let haters bring you down
My oldest was allll about mom until age 5. So much so that she refused dad to even put her to bed. Now, I’m only important for the logistics. Dad’s the fun one. Dad’s the bestie. It hurt for a long while, but like you, I’ve realized “it’s okay.” Also- hard working woman showing her kids what it’s like to set goals and work for them. Showing their kids what it’s like to be committed and strong. Showing their children how important your tribe is and how you treat your tribe is so impactful. You are doing that, Cilla. Big high fives and hugs!
I was a poll worker back in my home town and it was such a cool experience. You get to meet so many amazing people in your community. You will love it ❤
YOU ARE A GREAT MOM don't listen to Other People. EVERYONE HOUSE RUN DIFFERENT ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ all kids go threw different times being close to there parents ❤❤ you both are great parents ❤❤❤
The title of your page and channel caught my attention way back when I started following you. I knew that the content was going to be from a “father’s point. As a disabled person, I kinda figured that Pricilla was helping Abby with her personal needs. As a mom myself, I would be doing exactly what Pricilla is doing if my daughter required my help with her personal needs. Abby has a right to her privacy. And I have a lot of respect for both of you! You both are such a loving and caring parents! It breaks my heart to see how mean some people can be! It’s obvious that some people really don’t pay attention to the previous videos that you guys have posted regarding Pricilla’s roll in Abby’s daily routine.
I’m a fellow autism (and ADHD) mom/parent and having watched your vlogs for a while it’s so so obvious that you both are FANTASTIC parents. Your love for both of your kids and each other is radiating from the screen. I find it fantastic, that you are so supportive of each others interests and work. You do you 🥰 love from Denmark 🥰
I applaud both of you. Working from home looks different from working away from home. I am a caregiver for my disabled adult son . It's a job all on its own, never mind trying to keep up with housework. I have full respect for you both.
Cilla, I was a young teenager in 1976 when the Bi-Centennial happened and we had parades and everything. We sang Army songs in school auditorium in what they called rounds. So I grew up being patriotic and I love my country and I’m proud that you want to serve for me as an ordinary citizen…💋🧚🏻♀️❤️🇺🇸
You both are doing an amazing job. And I’m a single mother of two autistic kids and I would give my children all my attention. And everyone who knows me me y’all’s me I’m doing an amazing job too . I pray for the parents that have to bring up autistic ADHD kids. Everybody does it all awesome job of caring for their children in different ways.
Please don't cry. Abbie has the best of both worlds with you guys. A great family dynamic.

Y’all are champs and we love you just the way you are 💕
My husband and I absolutely love yall 💗 you are by far Our favorite creators! And we have learned so much from you guy's! Thank you
From one autistic grandma to an autism mom you are an amazing mom. Don’t let people get to you. I look up to your family . You are all amazing people mom dad Isiah. I love your videos. You truly help me.
how can you support this exploitation??
@@LakelandluvsBlytheHow can you say this about this family. If you don’t like them then don’t watch them.
Way to take things HEAD ON and use these hard conversations to TEACH US SOMETHING about humanity ❤️☮️🍀🙏
I have no words. I love this family. If you dont like what you're seeing stop watching. Just gripes me how people try to break down every little thing they see. Love you family. I enjoy this show very much.
I am so sorry that you both have to deal with this. You are both wonderful parents.
Miss ma’am, Abbie loves you wholeheartedly. Do not let anyone convince you otherwise. You are a super mama
“All the poles right, any poll all over town”😂 “They can call me for any poll and I’ll be there”🤣 “Start at the bottom and working my way up”😂🤣 “She’s out here being patriotic on that poll y’all”🤣 Love y’all, you guys are amazing❤
Haha
People that need confirmation because maybe they don't know how to be a mom they seem to put people down. My oldest daughter does it every time we get into a fight that I'm such a bad mom. But I would never tell her that even though she lost her son due to drugs. People hurt people who hurt themselves. Priscilla she only wishes she could be the mom you are. Remember, hurt people hurt others. That's why u are such a blessing to watch. Love you girl keep doing you need to do.
Perhaps the apple didnt fall to far from the tree
Why are people so quick to judge other peoples lives? You guys are amazing.
completely agree
💯% agree
You can tell Abbie loves her momma ❤️
I love Priscilla she so full of life she makes you smile.
Pricilla I am in no way a crier. Never have been. But when you cry girl you get my heart EVERYTIME!
I love how excited you are Priscilla 😊
I love y’all and how you support each other as a couple and a family. Also congrats to the new pole worker! ❤
You BOTH are great parents and I am proud to call you friend.
My heart hurts for you. You both are wonderful parents❤
You both are amazing never allow someone to steal your joy you both are great parents I cried with Priscilla
Don’t let haters bring you down
Thank you so much for explaining and clarifying even though you didn't have to. You two are amazing and I love your family dynamics. You "ROCK" ❤
My oldest was allll about mom until age 5. So much so that she refused dad to even put her to bed. Now, I’m only important for the logistics. Dad’s the fun one. Dad’s the bestie. It hurt for a long while, but like you, I’ve realized “it’s okay.”
Also- hard working woman showing her kids what it’s like to set goals and work for them.
You will love it ❤
You guys are a TEAM. An awesome team❤
It takes all kinds of kinds to make this earth go -round! I appreciate you!
Sorry for your hurt 😔 Seems to me what you're doing is working for YOUR family. Blessings to all 🙌 ❤
YOU ARE A GREAT MOM don't listen to Other People. EVERYONE HOUSE RUN DIFFERENT ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ all kids go threw different times being close to there parents ❤❤ you both are great parents ❤❤❤
Exactly what I wanted to say - simplified
Every household is different 💜
I adore Priscilla! Her joy and spirit brighten my day 💜💜💜
I have nothing to add! Great words, guys. Thank you! 💕
I loved watching yall over the years and seeing how you’ve evolved and continue to evolve is inspiring. THANK YOU for sharing your life❤
You are great parents. Loving, kind and true. Fathers and daughters…. It’s a thing! No judgement necessary. ♥️♥️
I love when anyone finds joy in the simple things. Go Cilla!
You two are great people. You rock! as parents!!
I love seeing people doing their best (no matter how they do that), it makes me happy.
This program was brought to you by.
Glad you made it!
y'all have a great dynamic and most importantly IT WORKS!! Don't change a thing..
You are both great parents and great to each other, and that's all that matters ❤
Bravo on so many things well said!!! Keep doing what works for your family😊
You are a great team! And role model parents! Thanks again for sharing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You guys are killing it! Love and prayers from KY.
You are both amazing parents. Rasing amazing adults...
This is how life moves forward. My kids are 43,41,39 and 36. Relationships change and we all love each other. ❤
