      @@nathanabraham4639 I know right? Minnesota, Detroit, Seattle, etc would have to probably build an indoor facility to grow the grass in those temps or be forced to get a new indoor stadium altogether, which is such a waste of time and money.

    Since Florio is discussing wanting his monthly paycheck I did a little Web search. Supposedly he gets paid about 500K per season, or about 1/70th of what I believe Tom Brady will make. Anyways if this number is right, Mike gets paid about 42K per month which isn’t bad, which works out to about 10.5K per week or about 1500/day or around 63 dollars per hour or one dollar per minute, even while sleeping, or walking his dog. Not too shabby, as Adam Sandler might say.

    They can 100% get all grass fields. The negotiation would be any new stadium built must have a grass field. They could even add in any stadium that undergoes renovations would need to add a grass field as well. Maybe a deadline if 10 or 15 years for all stadiums to have grass could be another way to go, something that would allow the owners to swallow it without impossible retrofitting.

    • @SmilingNinja
      @SmilingNinja 17 дней назад

      That's not a bad way to implement it. The problem is that a lot of owners would rather have an aritifical turf field so that they can hold a bunch of concerts the same week as a game. You can't really do that with a natural grass field.

    Expand to 18 games on the condition that the Super Bowl will be on the Sunday before President's Day that way most fans will have that Monday off. So many people call out that Monday due to their Super Bowl hangover, not to mention kids in school need that Monday to reset a bit before returning to school.
    Go with 2 Preseason games and add a 2nd Bye Week... moves the SB to President's Day.
    Oh, and definitely need to expand to an 8 team playoff. No team deserves a 1st Round Bye. College will similarly eventually expand to 16 team playoff (too much $$$ left out to not do it). Just stop with the "baby steps" approach and do it already.

    Just greed by the NFL, Media Partners, Sponsors to go to 18 games in my opinions. Do fans really want 18 games? I don't think so. Certainly does not promote player safety, especially after last year when so many QBs were injured all throughout the season. It'll probably dilute the product, and a chance more players take off games 17 and 18 especially if their team isn't in it. The only thing I'd say is you have to do 2 byes for each team if doing 18 games to promote player's health I think. But I think the NFL is overvaluing itself and saturating the country/market. 3 games on Christmas? I don't know, it's just too much. The Chiefs were horrible to watch much of the regular season with their offense last year and kind of turned it on last minute. The play has not really been getting better in the NFL, so it's likely it keeps going down the quality of play with more games.

    I’ve argued that it would be best - expensive though - if each stadium had a retractable roof and both Natural Grass (NG) and Field Turf (FT) surfaces. It’s possible and I think that the Cardinals stadium, and maybe the Raiders stadium, works that way. I think the NG surface is on top on rollers and can be wheeled out for natural sunlight during the week. Now it would be very cool if, say, the team’s NG surface were in bad shape, they could just play on FT that week. It happens. But you’d have four configurations that way and any city could host a Super Bowl. Naturally this is a very pricey proposition though.
