Well, guys. I have to say you are true "influencers". I just went (this morning) and purchased my first Compass Box. The way you described the aromas and flavors got my mouth watering, or as Scott would say "glands salivating". Oh yes, here in Denver at the Total Wine, it is priced at (before taxes) $124.99.
@@ScotchTestDummies I just opened one of my bottles. I am quite impressed, and I am glad this happens to be my first bottle of Compass Box. Yes, I waited this long. Anyway, I wont mention any tasting or aroma notes. I will say, however, I am glad I have got into the world of Armagnac, thanks to the Darroze company. My senses that allows me to appreciate whisky that was matured in wine or fortified wine casks have been elevated. And yes, I am aware that armagnac isn't a fortified wine, but I think it has helped me pick up similarities when a whisky has matured in sherry and other forms of fortified wine casks.I definitely do not regret buying three bottles. This bottle qualifies for the FORO designation. FORO = Fear of Running Out.
It's an incredible pour, so much going on per sweet, dark fruit, figs, raisins, grapes, etc. A bit pricey but well worth it (mine was gifted so can't complain too much : ) thanks guys!
I tend to stay away from the good stuff too, I figure it’s because I’m worried I’ll drink it all up too quick. I like to keep them as long as possible.
I had to come back to this review, but not to comment about the whisky. I was just thinking "Bartado" sounds like something you can get at Taco Bell for $0.59 on Fridays. Cheers!
A compass box shoot out would be great 👍 As always Great video guys. I recon until we start receiving bourbons in 750ml all scotch should go over to you (🇺🇸)in 700ml 😑🥸🤣

Well said! Thanks Andrew!
@@ScotchTestDummies I am a bit surprised of the price difference between here in Denver to where you two are.

Couldn't agree more!
Palo Cortado is a "variation" of Fino, not Oloroso. Basically It's created when the Flor that protects Fino form oxidizing gets damage
nice, thanks Lito
love me some Compass Box!!
us too Shaun!
Wow, better than Circus? Love the Dark & Decadence idea for a follow-up. 😆
Boom
Great video as always, well done "glandular Bartado Scott", well done "Tangerine Bart"!
Thank you! Cheers!
Excellent video. How does it compare to the Glenallachie single cask Sauternes?
Both delicious but different beasts in their own
I give the nod to the Glenallachie. Just for the finish.
Great opener 😂😂
thanks miller man!
You’ve come a long way, Bart. 😂😂
we both have!
@@ScotchTestDummies Yep, you have.. Had to say that cause of his Virginia Slims comment.😏
Pavlov's Scott, sorry couldn't resist. Anticipation.
ring the bell!
Review the new single malt bulleit whiskey
Sounds good. Will keep an eye out.
You all are talking my language now.😊
ours too!

drink it before its too late!
Great nose but I thought the experience was let down by the finish which was very short. Must be a large % of the Port Dundas.

i fear the after effects of a Bartado for $0.59!
"Bright Bart" 😅
not sure about that one! haha
@@ScotchTestDummies... bright as in colors?
But does George need this?
I hate to say it but YES!!
Compass Box is always trying new things and they are really trying to be very transparent. Just $$$ sometimes.
so true
38👍
getting slower
700ml 😢👎
it's happening...
A compass box shoot out would be great 👍
As always Great video guys.

Scott gets it, Bart doesn't
