I think the age in combination with the cask details gives you an understanding on whisky, and will make you understand whisky better on your jurney. You might understand why the whisky taste the way it tastes
What a coincidence! I just bought this the same day this video came out! By the way....I'm looking forward to your Compass Box Menagerie review - I think it's amaaaaaaaazing.
Hey Manual, you seem to know your CB. Any advice on what I posted? - 'We'll be tasting Artist, Glasgow, Orchard, Peat Monster, Spice Tree, Spaniard and Hedonism. I want to include one special rel that is maybe not too duplicative of these. What do you think btwn Canvas, Experimental, Menagerie, Circles and Juveniles? thank you!'
Nice review, guys! We'll be tasting Artist, Glasgow, Orchard, Peat Monster, Spice Tree, Spaniard and Hedonism. I want to include one special rel that is maybe not too duplicative of these. What do you think btwn Canvas, Experimental, Menagerie, Circles and Juveniles? thank you!!
Their fact sheet now has the ages for any release in the last couple years. Like Rostilav said, the rings on the chart indicated years aged. No more need to email. I like to know the ages to better understand the pricing with CB. Makes a $200 bottle easier to buy if I know it’s mostly 20+ yo components.
I would say knowing the age helps you in the way should you get more cask or more spirit the older it is The younger it is you should get more spirit The younger is is the more the distillery will come out
A questions for the STDs and the subscribers: If the review or opinion you might have on a whisk(e)y is mainly about what is in the bottle, then why truly care about natural colo(u)ring; ABV; and being non chilled filtered? If age isn't that important or the make up on a blended malt or a blended whisk(e)y, then why are other issues important? Just curious.
@@ScotchTestDummies I agree. These aspects are worth mentioning, but not so important to discorage buying bottlings that don't 'tick the boxes'. In the end (no pun intended) it is all about if you enjoy/like/appreciate what is inside the bottle.
Scott was 100% on point pulling back the Bunnahabhain copita from laughing guy. Don't trust laughing guy with nothin. Great work as always ... cheers!
😄
Gents, every ring on this pie chart is equals one year. Haven’t seen this one or No Name 3 yet in my neck of the woods. Cheers!
I did not know that! Cheers!
Very interesting. Good to know

Experimental was my least favorite of all CB. I'd go with Juveniles...

they're worth mentioning, but overall with us it comes down to the whisky in the bottle, is it good, and is it worth the money
