If this game ever gets a remake I hope they fix the inventory management because it's god awful and annoying to leave items in rooms where you must constantly keep coming back to for Key items, ammo or health.
Looking at it now. RE0 uses a lot of the mechanics from Sweet Home, even more than the original RE. Specifically, the ability to split up your characters and to be able to dump inventory items anywhere and having to come back to pick it up if you need it later.
@@Arglactable I am excellent at managing my inventory; I tend to drop items in the main hall due to its quick accessibility from wherever I may be. It doesn't change the fact that going back and forth between different areas just to transfer your items to different locations is incredibly tedious.

It was one of the first RE games I played so it has a special place in my heart. Retrospecting on it...ye the game is a weak link. It's a genetic successor to the RE we all know and love with a story that has little to no relevance to the series.
I love and played and beat it when it first came out. Me and my best friend made our own multiplayer mode. I played Billy and he played Rebecca. Do you think you could do RE7/Its DLC as well? Its a semi easy platinum trophy but madhouse and joe must die really offer a good challenge. Its also a great RE on the vein of the classics.
If this game ever gets a remake I hope they fix the inventory management because it's god awful and annoying to leave items in rooms where you must constantly keep coming back to for Key items, ammo or health.
This is the best RE I don't understand why people don't like it.
Looking at it now. RE0 uses a lot of the mechanics from Sweet Home, even more than the original RE. Specifically, the ability to split up your characters and to be able to dump inventory items anywhere and having to come back to pick it up if you need it later.
I'm pretty sure Brett would want Albert Wesker's death stare in real life
Glad to see RE:0 getting some love
Honestly, an item box would have made all the difference in the world.
100% agree
So true
I feel liked itd make the game too easy and make the mechanic of dropping items or having a second partner pointless
@@Arglactable I am excellent at managing my inventory; I tend to drop items in the main hall due to its quick accessibility from wherever I may be. It doesn't change the fact that going back and forth between different areas just to transfer your items to different locations is incredibly tedious.
My first experience was when I was around 5 or 6 with a childhood friend who isn’t around to see what RE became. We both would play his older brother’s GameCube and just play the train level. I didn’t know what was going on or what to do and never got far from there. But I feel in love with RE ever since. This game has a place in my heart and never understood why everybody hates it. But it was my introduction to this world.
RE 0 was one of my favorite games growing up!
I'm surprised to hear that RE0 didn't receive a lot of love as it was very popular amongst my group of friends when it came out. It was also one of the first games I ever fully completed. I just couldn't put it down!
Aw man... This is one of my favorite RE alongside Remake and Revelations :c
1:52 for those who wants to skip what seems to be finally a genuine promotion by the channel instead of a mindless script
Man, I don’t know what to comment now, I never thought I’d get this far. Uh...
Raid bad
Handinabag Hot dog stand
Pleasse Quest for the DMC series
Just move on and start nagging him for an episode on Yakuza Kiwami, that should work.
You know, you reminded me of why I love Resident Evil! It was the first video game franchise to include zombies that I saw, so I was immediately enthralled. I could never beat the games, but seeing stuff on RUclips inspired me to try again, and ever since I've been a huge fan!
Rezzy 0 was such a good Rezzy game. Sadly, I lost my copy of the game, so I never got to get very far.
You didn't even beat it and say its good 😂. Did you get to the bat boss?
@@Walamonga1313 Listen, I can get an idea of the quality of a game even if I couldn't finish it all.
That's like saying "you have to eat the whole steak to know if it's any good."
If, say, the ending is a total letdown, I would have said "the game is so good, too bad the ending was such a letdown." I mean, if I knew about it. So, it still doesn't disqualify my initial statement.
I'm not sure on the bat boss, it was also a long time ago, and I don't remember that one specifically. Not sure if I didn't get to it, or just don't remember it.
This was my favorite numbered RE for years when I was younger. Glad you played it.
I have this game for Gamecube and 360. And I always liked this game and this game is way better than Resident evil 5 or 6. I think what hurt most of this game was that it was a Gamecube exclusive, sales figures would been completely different if this were also on PS2 and original Xbox.
Also great timing Jirard, I just today got the true ending on Re2make.
That was what hurt it. Remake is arguably the greatest survival horror game to date but it also sold poorly due to being GCN exclusive.
This is one of the best, accurate reviews of how this game actually is. Nice to see it getting some attention instead of being looked at as “the other RE on GC.”
The game isn’t bad, it’s just the worst of the classic RE so only hardcore fans really play and like it
Also the story literally makes no sense and is insane
The "less good" classic Resident RE Zero is.
Too strong the word "worst" it is.
It was one of the first RE games I played so it has a special place in my heart. Retrospecting on it...ye the game is a weak link. It's a genetic successor to the RE we all know and love with a story that has little to no relevance to the series.
I agree. Although i've never played Code Veronica so I don't have an opinion on that one.
I love and played and beat it when it first came out. Me and my best friend made our own multiplayer mode. I played Billy and he played Rebecca. When we switched characters we swapped the controller and the other watched. Was also handy whenever his mom was calling for him as he could swap and I'd take over until he got back lol. Great times!
Great content as always, why not give the Onimusha series a spin soon :)
I was litteraly calling it "The one with a train" before clicking the video. Good one
REmake is my favorite RE, RE0 one of my least. Regardless I’m stoked you’re doing this!
I mostly remember this game for the leech creatures that, at the time, were so hard to kill to the point I didn't went back to it until ten years later when I finally completed it.
I will get raid shadow legends if you make a completionist episode on it first.
"Making People's Heads Explode Just By Looking At Them Has That Beat Hands Down."
No kidding...Albert Wesker's death stare definitely has Luigi's death stare beat, but it will never beat the meme! 👏😄😁👍
"Raid shad..." *Immediately stops vids and goes to watch something else*
Oh my god Jirared, that sponsor spot. That low key self aware vibe of "yes, I know guys, it's raid again". That's why I watch this channel that was hilarious
Mmmm....raid shadow legends is reaaaly starting to get on my nervs
I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes resident evil zero
I never actually overlooked RE0, I actually love it
That was probably my favorite Raid: Shadow Legends ad I've seen, it actually made me laugh.
Also, that RE-infused remix of Aquatic Ambiance is just amazing
Where's Megaman Zero collection for the DS.
There's a console/PC version coming out in January that includes the ZX games.
MalikEKC he'll probably play it when the collection comes out.
@Spike V1 Megaman Zero series is actually the hardest Megaman games. Its not a kiddy game like Mario or Sonic.
My second favorite Resident Evil game. Only behind Resident Evil 2 tied with its own remake.
Resident Evil 0 is my favorite RE game, personally. Of the ones I've played I mean.
You don't hear that often lol, but it's one of my favorites as well. They just need to remake it again because it has so much untapped potential.
me favourite RE to this day! it deserves so much love xD thanks for covering it Jerard! keep up the nice stuff
cheerios
how much moey does raid shadow legends have FFS the bought every gaming youtuber out there
RE 0 is not my favorite RE game...but I have always loved it and it holds a special place in my heart even today. It was as graphically impressive as REmake, but was a completely new RE experience.
I can't get past the train part at the start.
I got up to the boss on the train and lost the game for years
There's dozens of us!
Very bad at videogames you all here are.
Try an easier difficulty?
We got bored ding dongs.
I have ALWAYS overlooked this particular Resident Evil, but now imma have to give it a shot..
This is actually the first fixed camera resident evil game I played then proceeded to play the Re-Remake Resident Evil, etc 😂
The Completionist: Hey guys, it's Christmas time...
Also The Completionist: *is making a video about Resident Evil 0*
It Honestly Wouldn't Surprise Me If With Raid Shadow Legends They Put RUclipsrs In As Champions
Fantastic game with Billy Cohen saying "FEAST ON THIS QUEENIE!"
best character that never came back.
The HD version has him changing into Wesker and what fun it is going around killing with power.
Training facility was the worst in the whole game but every area was amazing except the facility but music, damn what an OST.
