    The 2.0tsi is a solid motor. They use the same AWD gen 5 haldex system as the mk7 golf R. Great vid bro.

    I have a 2015 A3 2.0T with unironic stage 2 tune and I'm making something like 360 all wheel and it's a monster from a launch

      Sounds a little high, Unitronic advertises a bit over 330. Either way that's got to be pushing it a bit, on an IS20. 360 is starting to get into a conservative IS38 tune territory.

      Peter Harren just double checked and you're right advertised at 337hp my mistake will try to record a launch when I get a chance will be going to a 1/8th drag soon and will try to get videos and post them up

    I have a 2017 A3 2.0t with APR TUNE AND DOWNPIPE. 300whp 360wtq. BTW is the TFSI engine

    • @aaronp9835
      @aaronp9835 4 года назад +1

      Unreal Tuning audis are underrated bhp wise. 280whp actually. After intercooler 300. You can make 350 wheel horsepower which is intake Bolton’s in a stage two tune with the stock turbo so I don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about

    • @aaronp9835
      @aaronp9835 4 года назад

      Unreal Tuning 200whp on intake,dp and tune? I dont think so. Much more than R Stage 1 ECU Upgrade
      The APR Stage 1 ECU Upgrade is the first step towards making more power! This simple upgrade requires no engine hardware modifications and produces 290-337 HP with 320-375 FT-LBS of torque. Gains as high as 60-115 HP and 51-103 FT-LBS of torque are available throughout the power band

    • @aaronp9835
      @aaronp9835 4 года назад

      So 250-260whp with tune is possible. So ya my bad

    • @aaronp9835
      @aaronp9835 4 года назад

      Apr and Revo claim 320bhp and 360torque at the crank which is like 270whp 310wtq. I seen an A3 APR stage 1 only, run 13.2 at 105mph

      Unreal Tuning i have the video. Dont know why the trap speed was so low

  • @carrd3971
    @carrd3971 3 года назад +5

    is it completely stock apart from the tune? hard to believe that it can gain over a second 0-60 and it's not even 300 HP

    • @bummerbrooks3220
      @bummerbrooks3220 3 года назад +1

      I have a 2016 vw cc, 2.0t stock 200bhp 0-60 in 6.5sec. With stage 1 tune I run 5.5 spinning first and second gear(due to fwd). Could probably get a low 5 second or even high 4 second with traction. It is kinda crazy how much of a difference a tune makes. I might upload some videos later today for you

    Haldex system not really Quattro.👍

    • @Patterson_Media
      @Patterson_Media 4 года назад +4

      Yeah man but in the real world they work basically the same. I've driven an S4 (real Quattro) and my current A3, they feel very similar. I've driven both in deep snow as well and they perform the same, they both rip through the snow. Is the S4 superior? Yes. Is the newest haldex really good? Yes.
      As well, there's OBD11 tunes you can do now to mess with the rear power amount, so essentially sending more power to the back constantly to mimic real Quattro. I've done this and it genuinely feels VERY close to the S4.
      Haldex is really Quattro. Four wheels spin and will get you through anything.

    • @garymathe9863
      @garymathe9863 4 года назад +5

      Sorry to disappoint the haters, but quattro (always lower case) is a marketing name, not a technology. The latest Haldex (gen 5) is amazing. It's proactive, meaning it sends power to the rear based on throttle input, not just slippage. So when I launch it, it takes off without ANY wheel spin, which is very good, considering the ~350lb/ft torque I'm pushing. In the snow it's also unstoppable. We just got about a foot here in Denver, and my S3 blasts past every truck, SUV, etc. from a dead stop, and in corners (Vredestein quatrac tires help of course). Trust me, I've been driving Audis for 15 years (B5+B7A4, MK2TTS, 8VS3), torsen and haldex, and the difference is negligible now. Even in the past the difference in real world situations was small.

  • @ipaul86

    So what’s the difference between the S3 and A3 parts-wise? Is the S3 just a tuned A3??

    • @21cabbvge
      @21cabbvge 3 года назад +2

      S3 is essentially an A3 on nicer wheels with lower, stiffer suspension and a tune. They also come with quilted leather seats and bigger bolsters plus a few extra tech upgrades for the interior

    • @adrianleon1731
      @adrianleon1731 2 года назад +3

      Essentially same engine. Minor engine differences. S3 has a bigger turbo (IS38) same in Golf R, A3 smaller turbo (IS20) from the GTI. Obviously both are tuned differently but gearing is different. S3 also weighs about 100 lbs more than the A3. You can also IS38 swap the A3 and make the same power.

    • @LOUCABRASI
      @LOUCABRASI Год назад

      @Adrian Leon not that easy. U can't just slap an is38 and instantly have an s3. Look it up. The s3 engine has a lot more upgrades internals and stuff to be able to handle more power.

    • @anaccount7923
      @anaccount7923 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@LOUCABRASIA3’s can handle an is38 lmao. There’s people running 500 wheel on stock internals.

    • @LOUCABRASI
      @LOUCABRASI 9 месяцев назад

      @@anaccount7923 didn't say they can't. But just slapping on an is38 doesn't convert your car to an s3 automatically.

    Stage 1 and 280 wheel? Doubt it, sounds more like stage 2 numbers unless he meant to the crank

  • @badassbikerst
    @badassbikerst 4 года назад +1

      If he run 290 to crank he actually doing 240+ whp. Which is still 20+hp gain makes much more sense.

    • @jeffiden2508
      @jeffiden2508 5 лет назад

      do you have the smaller 1.4 or 1.8t engine? or some other software than APR. APR offers the most hp and torque than the other software upgrades. Stage 1 apr on the 2.0t gets you to 300hp crank and 380 torque crank

    • @AA-bs3iy
      @AA-bs3iy 5 лет назад +1

      You definitely don't have a 2.0 if your only making 150. It comes stock with 211hp. I think even the 1.8t has more like 180 if I'm not mistaken

    • @AA-bs3iy
      @AA-bs3iy 5 лет назад

      You have a 1.4t and you don't have a a3 you have a Jetta. Unless other countries have a a3 with the 1.4t

    • @EwanBrooks
      @EwanBrooks 5 лет назад

      Lol all of you are wrong I have a 2013 A3 8v 2L TDi with 150bhp stock and in the UK, stage 2 Apr wouldn't even take me to 280hp even if you done the math. You can't double your bhp on a stage 2 nevermind stage 1 remap, if you have found an a3 with 280hp without a bigger turbo feel free to link it here, I doubt anyone will though.

    • @ahyris6602
      @ahyris6602 5 лет назад +4

      Ewan lol your wrong about you own car bruh. 2013 isn’t a 8v, that’s an 8p. Second, TDI is a completely different car than the tfsi. The tdi is a diesel variant optimized for mpg not power. The 8v is the newest engine type starting at 2015 to now and is around 200-220 bhp depend on the stock tune and is capable of reaching the 280 mark without a bigger turbo on a awd platform. The gti with the same engine makes 305 on stg 1 tunes being fwd.
