@@peterspinuzzi9695 yessir, it's funny I had that same Borla catback on mine with the APR downpipe. It was unbearably loud 🔊 had to switch back to the milltek hahaha. I think your setup with the oem downpipe helps keep it down lol 😆

After buying a Audi A3 8p tfsi dsg fwd only. I'm falling in love with the car the more I drive it.i really wanted the quattro but you can't have everything I guess so I made due.I'm running a Apr stage 1 tune didn't do TCU yet but stage 1 Apr CTS cattless downpipe and a custom intake.so far after putting a set a tire's on her she did 0 to 60 in 4.9 sec on the street but my quarter mile time are not accurate because I let out so early but these car's are insane how such a small modification can make such a big difference really clean build look into having that TCU done you can't go wrong

Now you just need a DSG transmission tune.
If you run the oem launch control it doesn’t run boost, if you opt for cobb fuel cut launch control it builds boost. I have eqt stage 1 on 3 inch borla catback on mk7 gti
How do you like it compared to stock?
@@peterspinuzzi9695 you get that 2 step sounds pretty cool. And you pick rev slots for certain rpms. And if you want go back to oem launch control use slot 9 I believe. But your going have to spend 75$ for eqt tune update to add cobb fuel L/C to have those options activated on accessport. You’ll see the rev slot is currently faded out until tuned updated
@@mk6_mark920 yeah I opted for stock when I got it. Should have just got it and ran it on the stock slot until I figured out what I wanted.
i have the same engine on my TT (CHHC, GEN 3), yet they don't support cobb tuning it... fuck

I know how APR requires at least stage 2 and a DP for pops and burbles, does EQT only require stage 1? Or did you get something additional/separate from stage 1?
You can do burbles on stage 1
Blow off valve or diverter will also give you the baby whistle you’re probably looking for without too much work

Snow grate. There's a plastic grate under the air filter that just lifts out
those pops sound louder on a eqt tune or am I tripping?

- AWE drop in filter
- ETS silicon turbo intake pipe
- CTS turbo elbow

I kinda wanted an A3 and tune it, how fast can you get them?
With the 1.8L Turbo you can manage to get 400 hp with an is38 turbo from a golf r. The engines are mini s3’s.
2.0 liter just a tune under 400, with turbo upgrade and tunes 400+
I would highly recommend an Audi A3 2.0 Quattro 2017 and go Revo stage 4, they offer a great hybrid turbo which makes 550hp if you use e40 500hp if you don’t
@@cjlsniper naw just a tune won’t get you 400. Stage 1 on the A3 is around 280-290whp
@@LoXHumaN Correct, on a stage 2 400 tq not hp. Hp should be around 330 hp and that would get you around 300 whp.

A3 for the 4 wheel drive
I had 3 GTI's (Mk4, Mk6 and a Mk7) before I got my A3 Quattro. There are times that I miss my Mk7 GTI. Some of it might be just fond memories of the GTI. In the end the A3 is a better car. It kind a fills the gap between the GTI and the Golf R. It's got GTI power with the AWD element of the Golf R.

228 stock, 300WHP is easily done with the right tune and bolt ons.

@@DarinDzy Question if you go stage 1 with eqt or any brand for that matter. Where if you have to take your car to get emissions tested would it pass being stage 1? Or is it like being stage 2 in that you have to flash the car back to stock so then it can pass emissions and once that's done you flash the car again with the tune. Basically if it's stage 1 will it pass emissions or do you have to flash the car back to stock so it can pass emissions like you would have to do if you where stage 2
I went apr stage 1 on a 2016 Audi A3 and they told me I couldn’t get pops and bangs unless I went stage 2

By the way I myself have a stage 1 93 eqt A3 w airbox mod and TIP and turbo muffler delete and have gotten a 4.19 0-60 as my best on a dragy so that Cobb might’ve been accurate!
stg 1 is20 can hit 300 whp? i dont believe it.
My 2019 GTI makes ~300wtq/270whp on an APR Plus Tune with no other mods.
Its actually pretty easily done. Im FBO stock turbo making like 375 whp
They actually hit between 310-325 whp stage 1
@@89dungey maybe in Europe but not in North American, if you ever got 310 whp on dyno that dyno number is reading too high.

That car is not doing 4.2 seconds to 60...maybe 5.2. That gauge isn't accurate. That said I will be doing the same mods to my 19' GTI DSG except using the MST inlet kit and no burbles for me.
It def can, my friend has an a3 with a little more work to it and that hoe is fast
Do you know how much power a stage 1 a3 makes? It’s about 290-310 crank. That’s slightly more power than a stock s3. Not to mention , a stage 1 a3 makes around 350 torque. car only weighs 3,300lbs but removing backseat and gutting trunk will shave about 80lbs +/-

My IS20 GTI was at 400 crank torque with APR stage 2 v1. Pretty realistic torque figure from this A3.
My unitronic stage 1 91 tune for A3 has 470 Nm torque lol (354 pounds)
300hp and 4.2 0-60 😂😂 s3 is standard 300hp and it is 4.9 0-60
The a3 makes 300 wheel and weighs a little less.
