Great video. I have recently moved to Belgium and will be shipping my micro-camper Honda Element on my next return trip to the US this summer. I had done research but, seeing your personal experience with the process is really helpful. Thanks and safe travels!

I am originally from Belgium! It was an awesome experience, we might do it again. Good luck in your travels!

New subscriber here! I'm preparing to ship my rig over from the east coast of the US to Liverpool hopefully in June. I've looked at Seabridge and IVSS so will have to pick one fairly soon. Looking forward to all your adventures in Europe!

Hi Steve!! I will make another video detailing the costs, different carriers and options you can take. There are bits an pieces of things to pay to different entities. I will post it in the next couple of weeks Love how your van came out!

3 month stay in Europe seems like max length in Schengen countries.
Is it still cost effective shipping than renting there?

It was about the same for us. We did 8 weeks in total. Rental + extra mileage and everything we would need would be more than shipping our van. I guess it's all about personal reference.

    What insurance did you use?

    • @florida_familytravels

For marine insurance (full coverage) when the van is on the ship, we went through the shipping agency (IVSS UK) and for road insurance in Europe, we went through tourinsure.de

Great video. Wishing you all the very best in your travels. Do you mind sharing what did it cost you approximately to ship your van. Also did you pay for round trip in one transaction?
Also are you allowed to take your bikes? Regular or electric?
    Looking forward to next episode.

Thank you! I will post a detailed video soon with a complete overview of the costs and what options you can choose. You can't pay for round trip. It is a separate booking so separate transactions. There are port costs, escort costs, shipping costs, insurance costs, etc.
