I love this van's layout. Its absolutely stunning. The only thing I'd change would be the toilet, it needs a new location. It would be awkward if you had visitors over and someone needed to use it. Especially if it were raining outside or if you had just had food delivered.
@@moteroargentino7944 Agreed. Would love to see that in the shower space. Conversely, that opens up the space for more food pantry, kitchen accessories, clothes, etc. where the toilet “was” (under the sink). Ultimately, since the entrance through the cab seems secondary (and I do like that concept!), I would prefer to see the toilet in the shower. Temporarily move it out when it’s shower time.
@@rchosfan Indeed, it looks out of place. That kind of "open toilets" are good only for singles or couples, to save space. If you plan on having people over, you definitely need an enclosed bathroom for privacy. Regarding the passway, while I prefer a regular sliding door and stealthy designs, I've seen some vans where they installed a hatch/window. So the opening is downsized to the minimum while still keeping the function of getting through, and they get to use almost all of that space. It looks pretty neat.
It could be an option to set the toilett in the shower but use some space from the garage? So you have more privacy but a little bit less storage room. So with the system which you used now to put it out like now in the living room.
Absolutely love this van’s layout, especially tucking the toilet (toilets aren’t pretty) and the bed (beds are only used 7-9 hrs a day) out of the way. First van tour where I can picture being happy living in it. And design-wise, it’s beautiful.
Putting the toilet where the block of drawers currently is would be better, with access to it from the shower only . Not in the aisle which is a really bad idea. I've seen it in that space with pullout access from the shower.
I would rather have a curve shower and a secret pull out toilet inside. Maybe just make an overhead garage too so that there is access to the front just swivel the passenger chair or something.
Was about to say the exact same thing, everything else in this layout is 100% perfect and so meticulously planned out that I was a little surprised to see the toilet hadn't been given more consideration. Like you said I have seen another conversion where a couple had the exact same drawer-sliding toilet he had except they installed it inside the shower so not only do you get privacy and keeps odours away but it can just slide back into the the hidden cupboard when you want the space back for showering. If he did exactly that with this van I would be tempted to buy it off him haha.
Love this build! A nice tweak would be to make a walnut cutting board milled out on the underside to fit over the induction cooktop, thereby protecting it completely from anything dropping on it.
indeed, i thought the same, i also thought that he could put a table extender on the right of the counter that can be closed or opened depending on the necessities. I would also put the toilet trolley not under the sink, but in a closed compartment in that garage thing, so that it can be pulled only in the shower and when you need to throw away the bags you would have access directly from the garage, and depending on how much you use it you could even put there the trash bins with an opening to the inside, so that they are completely separated and have an easy access when needed to throw away the trash.
Agree w/moving toilet; just have it on 300lb rail to slide in/out in shower. Move the drawers to where toilet was. Also - that trash can location wouldn’t make it 5mins before you get ticked off and pull it out to use while cooking. 😁. Would worry about stinky salty wet gear smell in garage permeating the main room. Might want to seal that off and have own baby vent for it. But, lovely build. 🤗
You are a true blue craftsman and just as gorgeous of a man. Best to you in your future endeavors. God bless from someone who wished they did this years ago. I’m 65 and it’s too bad time flies by so fast
Great layout, I agree, the shower is awesome. I would change the toilet, more so if sharing the van space or in case of guests, I would also probably like a bigger fridge. Otherwise, the design is fantastic. The battery power is far better than the professional builders so to the water capacity. Great job!
Cool layout! I especially like how the shower 'compartment' is designed and placed up front with access to the front cab. Owh, the leafy wallpaper is def and nice touch. Kudos!!!
I’m copying this Van Build except / my toilet will pull out INTO THE SHOWER 🚿 from the Door garage area - I’ll be able to pull a slide out so I can empty the toilet - I don’t mind losing a little space in the garage and maintain the kitchen as a kitchen … I would have never thought of this floor plan So I AM 💯 GRATEFUL FOR YOU AND ALL OF YOU OUT HERE! I currently have an Ambulance International 4300 on my channel “Not Only Vans” I can’t wait to sell her and start my new van build ❤️
Amazing build and layout! Smart to route all water on one side of the van and separating electrical on other wheel well cabinet. I sometimes see them combined and wonder about safety. Only two minor changes I would make are a hanging rack above the sink to store wet clean dishes after you wash them. An insulated solid lockable pass through door in the cab area. I would feel better if that door could prevent direct access to the living area. Great tour. Thank you!
Great suggestion on the solid, lockable, pass-through door! I really like the concept of how the cab can be viewed as a mudroom, esp. during inclement weather (the mess that can come from rain & snow).
I've seen this van before on his channel. I love the blacked out glass on the cabinet/wardrobe. Such a nice touch! The shower with a walkthrough to the front cabin is a great idea too.
This guy is amazing, if I am not mistaken this is his 3rd conversion and it still amazing. I got no problem with the shower and the pass through. Amazing. and the garage location is acceptable, but the hole for the hand to get into the slider little bit odd. But since he got full queen size retractable bed, I think sacrificing the garage is reasonable. keep up the amazing work
I feel like a lot of storage space could be fit underneat the floor "around the chassi", I know that is a little tricky to do and could compromise the 4x4 capability, but I have a feeling you could make one of those couch an entire wardrob. Also maybe theres a way to fit eletric panels and water pumps on the chassis as well without have to modify it. I never see someone doing it yet on van layouts, but for someone with your craftman ability I thing that could be the extra next level.
I love how you did the bed, drop down, no messing with converting, counter space for food, toilet in shower is a good idea, otherwise you killed it! Oh yeah the garage is perfect!
I love it! Only problem I have is where the toilet is located…. I’d have the toilet sliding in the shower if that makes sense… Toilet in your kitchen isn’t ideal
Daaamn..this is maybe the best layout that i have seen till now.. Awesome ..Awesome... Just keep doing in that direction bro.. this is impressive 👍👍👍👍💪💪💪👍
Often videos are described as innovative or next level but are really incremental. But this build is really next level!!! Its like a very expensive hotel suite on wheels. The bed and the vertical front 'garage' is truly radical. I bet you could sell these for top prices
I know this might sound odd but since you’re “cut off” from quickly seeing out the front, would there be a benefit in having a camera and monitor so that you could quickly turn it on if needed?
Super outstanding-really just amazing! Love the front, vertical garage and that pass-through of the shower to the cab; making the cab into a mudroom during inclement weather. The walkable solar panels are great, too! As much as I like the concept of not making the bed each day & having it go up & down, I still might opt for having to make it daily for the increased ceiling height (feeling of more space inside) but, more importantly, to have access to the skylight 24/7. However, I’d almost need to see it in person first. All in all, this is fantastic! What I’ve said is just customization that someone may like.
small tip for everyone. if you remove foom from its packaging you fit mor in the fridge or freezer, this is especially helpful with pizza but not goods in stay fresh packs. i have been known to put food into food bags for freezing
What size is the skylight? Also can it be installed so that it opens the opposite direction or open to the side? It would be easier to climb onto the roof and to clean the solar panels if you did. Not have to wiggle around the cover.
I think overall the van build is very nice but I don't understand having the toilet in the kitchen and in public? This is not the first van build or whatever that I have seen that. So if you have guests over and they need to use the bathroom they're going to have to use it in front of everybody? That does not make any sense to me. And why would you put essentially a toilet in the same place where you cook food? I'm just trying to make sense of it.
Best would be for the toilet to be in the shower when not in use- and when in use turned to face the driver seats upon which that door can slide open for your legs to fit behind/between the seats. This would allow you the privacy behind the kitchen facing shower door- especially if that door can be made extra sound insulated. Outstanding layout otherwise.
wow, what a great van, I would want the toilet to live in the shower cubicle and less couch with a work desk/tv/comp monitor and it would be perfect for me!
It's probably the most efficiently designed van I've seen, but like others, placing the toilet elsewhere, like where the garage is, would offer better privacy.
Why did you turn the opening on the operable skylight toward the back of the van where there’s no place to walk when you spent all that money on walkable solar panels?
Make a flap door in shower wall , put toilet between wall and garage/ storage area on a slide. Never gets wet, private for visitors, no smell and EASY TO DO..😊 And you can still have plenty of storage space above it and skis next to it.😊😊
if it were me, I'd put a draw dishwasher under the sink and put the toilet/drawer slides in the bottom part of the wetsuit locker/garage space. I'd prefer a little bit of privacy when using the toilet :P And if I wanted to be ambitious, if there was a way to get a combo washer/dryer above the toilet in that garage space, I would.
it gives you the worst of all worlds. no garage storage and a terrible seating area. Its essentially made to give cool instagram pics but it awful in use. Unless you want to longe in your van with zero headroom or have nowhere to sit when the bed is down.
@Chris check out Hymer or Wingamm. For me the drop down gives best of both worlds - bed out of the way for a garage or seating area, or in Wingamm case it drops down from cab area.
Ahhh this is so gorgeous, and I love the battery capacity. A 3000 watt 😅inverter isn’t enough, though. The shower idea is original. My first change is moving the toilet into the cabinet next to the shower and pulling it from the inside. The shower is also considered a very rarely used space, so I might be opening up the front and making the walkthrough to the driver's cabin more open or coming up with some idea to utilize the shower space as a desk or something when it's not in use which is 90% of the times if not 99%. Yep, for a van that took hosting visitors in it's design, and already has a full shower, it's strange that he decided to put the toilet there.

This is the best layout I've seen. You could even reduce seating for us introverts and park a motorcycle in there while travelling.
Or to allow for more counter space.

Yes, such an inventive layout instead of following the crowd. Great materials too.

Thank you!
Beautiful work! Greetings from down under Australia….stay safe
Just when I thought - too bad it's missing...there it is. Amazing build, it has everything and then some.
Absolutely lovely work! I think if you make room for personalization, you have a winning design here. Well done! 😁👍
This is the best van build hands down!!!

Great garage idea! My Sea Eagle kayak would be great in there! Just need some space for the GSD doggies
Really creative van. Beautiful interior colors and woodworking. Truly Next Level. Great Job! Godspeed.
This is prob one of my favourite conversions I’ve seen
This makes me want to try build a van myself. Really nice layout and use of materials.
You should! Lmk if you have any questions
Essentials: bed, couch, tea, wine, sink, 💥boom. OMG 2 person shower! Water saving! 😅☄️🔥🌟
Beautiful van, great design and layout- keep up the good work
Make a flap door in shower wall , put toilet between wall and garage/ storage area on a slide. Never gets wet, private for visitors, no smell and EASY TO DO..😊 And you can still have plenty of storage space above it and skis next to it.😊😊
This is with different the best layout I have ever see until now
Congratulations
I love the engineering and artistry in this build!
What an amazing build. Great job!
This is the best designed caravan layout by far…Congrats
Very sleek design!
This is got to be the best van conversion I’ve ever seen yet 😍
So beautiful! The floor plan is perfection!
This is the best layout I've seen!! Great work
Amazing conversion! So stylish and elegant. Very classy and unique ❤❤
if it were me, I'd put a draw dishwasher under the sink and put the toilet/drawer slides in the bottom part of the wetsuit locker/garage space. I'd prefer a little bit of privacy when using the toilet :P And if I wanted to be ambitious, if there was a way to get a combo washer/dryer above the toilet in that garage space, I would.
Incredible design! One of my favorite designers by far for van life. Great job!
Badass build bro
Wow! Incredible, the best I’ve seen.
The best van conversion I have ever seen... Love it! ♥️🔥♥️🔥♥️🔥
Love the van! Can you share more information on the fern wall art? Is it back lit or just a photo?
Sir, you're not a car conversionist...YOU ARE AN ARTIST...SIMPLY WOW
Absolutely a beautiful work of art! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Still cant understand builders not using the drop down bed (Happy Jack) option. Great van!
it gives you the worst of all worlds. no garage storage and a terrible seating area. Its essentially made to give cool instagram pics but it awful in use. Unless you want to longe in your van with zero headroom or have nowhere to sit when the bed is down.

Ahhh this is so gorgeous, and I love the battery capacity. A 3000 watt 😅inverter isn’t enough, though. I have a 3000 watt inverter, and although my induction stove and blender both pull less than 1500 watts, the initial surge usually trips the inverter so I can only really use them when plugged in. Same with the 1500 watt portable ac I briefly had. Couldn’t run it though it should have been fine. It’s the surges that kill you. Also, that’s such little solar.
Very inventive layout - great job!
Coolest bathroom concept ever! Though I’d swap the drawers with under the sink and have the toilet slide out into the shower… I wouldn’t want to do my business out in the open lol.
That is a magnificent build! So luxurious looking kickit comfy! Love it!
Lucasravizza, this is an absolutely lovely build. Great job. 👍 ❤
Wow, this is my favourite build so far. Might have to start a new project!!
Agreed Paul, it’s an incredible build! Check out his RUclips page as he is always working on something new :)
Love that corner shower, however is the second nautilus door not insulated would want it to have that added temp control.
Also I have issues with toilets and food prep areas. I would love to see the toilet coming from the storage area into the shower from a pull out compartment. The storage area- I would like to see an insulated removable exterior panel. Easier way to remove waste without carrying it thru the van.

I've seen dozens and dozens of conversion videos. Talking just about the layout this one takes the cake for me. Except for the toilet
This layout is so amazing!! I wished someone here in Germany would provide this stunning job!
Many people have them shipped. It's not as expensive as you might think.
@@SweetBluebonnet Really?
Very nice layout. Very different to the usual
Love this layout and aesthetics…I would use same toilet, but just put in shower. When you shower take it out
