  • It's our Mega Moto 212 Tillotson 263cc ultimate trail bike's first test drive! This is one fast mini bike, and it could be the world's fastest off road mini bike. This Mega Moto mini bike is powered by a bored and stroked Tillotson 212cc engine. It has a 3" bore and 2.28" stroke, a trick cutting-edge billet cylinder head, a 9,000RPM capable valve train, and more.
    Thanks for Watching!
Special thanks to Johnnie at Laid Back Racing for the valve train and Mark at Blackmarkit Innovations for the Moflow 1 billet cylinder head!

Tap the holes in the fork neck so you can put zerk fittings and install a rubber skirt on the ends of the neck and you'll keep 99.99% of the dirt out, and 99.98% of the water and humidity. You can also install something on the bolt to take up some of the void and then when you hit it with a grease gun, a few pumps will push old grease out of the rubber skirts, and a quick wipe and you're ready to ride. Should never have to take them apart or do anything to them unless you choose to. Just a thought.

I was thinking the same thing. I would put riv-nuts in with some water jacket thread sealer around the insert before crimping instead of tapping the tubing it's self. Threads like to blow out on threaded tubing. I use riv-nuts on all accessory mount points on my bike and they have stood the test of abuse.

I am 68 but 2 years ago I had a Monster Moto mini bike 212. I had to sell it because I could not handle the jar to my stomach even on a gravel road with no potholes. I have had 2 hernias so I am too sensitive to it. Not knocking the bike at all in that respect. Just too old to be screwing around on one. 🤥 I do not know about other people's experience with one of these stock but the first time out of the crate the headlight burned for all of 5 minutes. Was no biggie to me but then a few days later while riding down an asphalt road, both jackshaft bearings went out and I was towed back home. Put 2 $30 each bearings into the jackshaft and was good for the rest of the year before selling it. I still think it is a very solid minibike and if young again , I would have wanted this kind of power. Cool bike. Cool video. Now, I need to find a cushy golf cart I guess.... Have fun while you are young people ! 😁

Go ahead and put two grease fittings in the two holes.
Use non water soluble high quality grease and fill it until it reaches the top and bottom bearings.
Push the grease until it starts to show up on the outside of the bearings.
Water and or dirt will not get into the bearings.
Every time you put grease in it, you will push out the old grease through the bearings.
    That’s what I would do.

    @AviewFromUnder Год назад

I think a good "Mythbusters" would be a study of this super duper extra crankcase venting done by most all mini mod folks. IMHO we are adding needless venting. Interestingly, as engine rpm goes up there is less and less gases and air flowing in and out of the vents not the other way around! At higher RPM the flow through these vents is managed more by acoustical function then simple under piston crankcase volume. Think of it this way, the venting is doing very little due to short phase pulse times and when not at high rpm the venting requirements are like a stock motor. These vents have a fair bit in common with how a Helmholtz resonator works in loud speakers moving sound but not pumping air. If the speaker port is too big it will huff and puff air when it should not. Case vents intended function is to relieve pressure changes caused when starting and low RPM, as well as relieving air volume caused by thermal changes. If we needed to keep pressure changes out of the crankcase with every stroke of the piston at 6000 plus RPM we would need to vent with a very short 4 inch pipe. Hate to suggest that removing the opportunity for some brightly colored lines and fancy catch cans and filters might improve things. However I do believe it wont change anything with the integrity of the performance engine beyond keeping oil in it. Increasing the diameter and number of crank case vents will mostly just increase the amount of oil slurped up and allow it to do so at a higher RPM then if the crank vents were smaller. Love your contributions keep them coming and would love to see if this subject interests anyone.

Tapping the holes in the fork neck and installing zerk fittings, along with rubber skirts, can effectively keep dirt, water, and humidity at bay, preserving the performance of your bike. Adding something to the bolt to fill the void and using a grease gun to push out old grease from the rubber skirts sounds like a smart maintenance approach. I see you got oil on your brakes... over a month ago. What we would do at bike shop is replace everything lol. What I do at home, use isopropyl alcohol or brake clean on the rotor to fully decontaminate. Then burn the pads with a torch (assuming theyre not an organic compound, they have to be semi metallic or sintered) until the pads dont smoke.

Let me strap an OLD early 1990's era Mugen power Honda CR250 onto that thing and I can show you what fast actually means.
I have one in a 4 wheel cart and it'll do 0-60 in less than 3 seconds.....with pump gas.
It will also do 60-0 in less than 50 feet.
Hell, I have a GoPed with a Zenoah G230rc that will do 55 mph on nitro.
The 2 holes in the head tube are for ZERK fittings so you can grease those bearings w/o disassembly.
If'n I was you guys I would grab a O-ring assortment at Harbor freight and use a correct O-ring to seal the head tube bearings, should be easy as pie.
BTW, I built my Go-Ped from stock, put in a stroker/stuffer crank, bored it way bigger, upped the compression to just a tad over 14:1 and ported the beejezus out of it.
Always remember on a 2 stroke, lower on the intake and higher on the exhaust with the porting to increase RPM range.
I'm getting a tad over 20k RPM with a fluke optic tach as I have no other way to measure it.

Hey i am looking to build a tiny W8 about 120 hp on gas and 240hp on nitro meth for my mini hyper sports cars. It has a 100 gallon tank. It is going to use forged steel or titanium rods. Use mechanical smart carbs that adjust to elevation. Uses a short wheelbase and 12"-13" race wheels. Does not use chains and uses a forged liquid torque coupling convertor with endless gear ratios. These are for a new mini hyper sports car race series requiring 100 street cars per model to be in the race series. The further development on the cars and all parts shall also yield engines doubling and quadrupling the power possibly in the future.
