I don't think I've seen Charles ever be as gentle and delicate as he was during this build. That's how you can tell it's worth some money! Great build!
That cylinder head is a multi-process machining part with serious amounts of expensive and valuable engineering. It is no doubt expensive and still it will require sales of many units to pay the engineer what he deserves for his time. A masterpiece worth every penny. I would be careful too!
Just a tip: When wanting to apply stickers perfectly straight, I know this seems counter initiative, spray the surface you’re applying to with glass cleaner, put the sticker on and move to desired location, and you can get your sticker perfectly straight when everything dries. The sticker will adhere even harder over time.
This only works with vinyl/stickers that have solvent based adhesives. Most vinyl is but you'll find lots of die-cut laminated stickers never actually dry or 'stick.'
I like how Isaac is just so proud of you two for building that thing in secret for three months, though the best part is him screwing the crate shut again, somehow I knew he'd do that... :P
Man I wish I could afford a go kart at all lmao, much less something with an engine like this. I'm 20 with my first kid otw and literally have never driven or even rode in one lmao. I work on em all the time they just aren't mine
Are you guys looking for riding mowers, snowblowers, and NYS thruway mowing/farm tractors? Regular style rider. Zero turn rider. Riding snowblower. Golf cart. Yamaha V Star. 1963 Oldsmobile Holiday 2D excellent condition. Not mint. Tools. 15 hp Evinrude Fastwin. Everything ran when my father passed. Garage full. 2 story shed full. If you're interested I can make a video to show you.
I enjoy the addition of Charles to the channel, he really shows his skill’s in this particular video! How did the recovery of price to stolen tools go? I hope things are well with his family! Thanks for the content guys.
30+ hp on a mini bike is a fire breathing tire shredding white knuckle beast and I want one. I've got a stretched motovox with a predator 224 on it with your common upgrades like governor delete, carb, header pipe, flat top piston, bigger cam, heavier valve springs, billet rod and flywheel but it's not making anywhere close to the power yours is making. I know how my bike feels and it rips but to have 30+ hp has got my gears turning and makes me want to build a new engine. You guys have done a great job on this new build.
Happy Birthday Charles! Now I see why you were talking smack. 13;1 is serious smack! That bump stick and canted valve head are wicked! Have fun this weekend and stay safe! We can't live without you guys!-
We used to put the copper head gaskets, from our motocross bikes, on the burners of electric stove tops and let 'em get hot enough to glow. Had to brush 'em off before installing, but it worked great.
Been working with Johnnie Berry for a few years now myself. Let me tell you, there's some magic in that engine. Im sure yall did very well and Happy Birthday to Charles.
I spent all last weekend upgrading my Baja Warrior 200. I’m still gonna get destroyed but oh well 😂. I’m so hyped for this weekend! I still have the original Baja engine on the bike but it now has a full stage 1 kit (last time it only had the straight pipe and airbox mod), I put a Tillotson racing cam in there, and finally I put a torque converter on it and had to modify the crankshaft to get it to work. It’s 10x better than what it was and I hope I’m not dead last this time but either way. This weekend is gonna be a blast! Can’t wait to see you guys and the build there!
This is good. You will learn a lot more making small changes along the way. Like when you changed the cam, went for a ride and said...holy smoke it hauls ... Cams are awesome! Compression is huge if you can afford the fuel. But you MUST use good fuel. Keep having fun and stay safe.
Great video with lots of laughter and HAPPY B-day Charles :) I do like to looks of that Engine, be nice to your new build, lots of slow brake in and dang be carful with that Bad Ass Hi HP Small Block......
You guys are giving viewers valuable information on any rebuild. I restore vintage Briggs & Stratton 1hp engines, from the 1940's and the methods you are going over should be applied to every rebuild regardless of the size. Thanks for the correct techniques.
Just incase nobody has said it yet be sure and add zddp too your first couple oil changes the great government has taken the majority of zinc out of oil but a engine needs it for wear purposes. Btw next time you rebuild a engine when you think you have the cylinder wall as clean as possible put a little automatic transmission fluid on a clean rag and whipe it again and see what more comes off.. keep up the good content and great builds
Wow John, I can't put my finger on what it is, but the upload schedule change has really helped you hit your stride with putting these videos together!
There's easy way to cut a gasket. Hold gasket paper in place, where it will be mounted, and tap all around the outside edge of the thing you're making the gasket for. Tap with a socket extension or small hammer. The sharp edges will cut right through. Do this for the inside cut as well. This is not my idea, it's a pro tip. Try it, you'll like it :)
I am gonna guess 36lbs single coils. I run them myself, and they are about that stiff. You can definitely have her living the high rpm life for along time.
If Shelby ever built a mini-bike it would start like this. Start with a good, solid engine and then add high performance parts. Plus, build it with care to the assure proper clearances and other specs. Cleanliness is next to impossible, but it’s worth trying to achieve. Good job guys!
A 260 CC mini bike that is insane. Electric start would be nice but you don't need the extra weight not sure how easy it is to rope start an engine with 13:1 compression
Annealing is the process of removing any "temper," the piece of metal has, it prevents the gasket from getting softer after the engine heats up. Not annealing will make it soften up while in service, which would make it lose proper head bolt tork. oh yeah, nice vid., again, I really look forward to Wed. vids.
Johnnie Berry/ Laid back racing does awesome work. He did my big valve head on my 236! Also, I get my cut to length 1/4" chromoly pushrods from Childish concepts, good stuff!
I always lightly chamfer the parting line on the rod and the bearings. This will prevent scraping material off the back of the bearing and the chamfer on the I.D. of the bearing makes sure the bearing crush will make the parting line a tiny bit further from the crank so it doesn't scrape the oil off.
You guys are doing a great job with the cleanliness, a lot of people don’t realize how small particles tear up big engines
I don't think I've seen Charles ever be as gentle and delicate as he was during this build. That's how you can tell it's worth some money! Great build!

Bam! Can't wait to see you guys this weekend!! AND THEN AGAIN NEXT WEEKEND AT PULL START PICNIC!!!!
Just a tip: When wanting to apply stickers perfectly straight, I know this seems counter initiative, spray the surface you’re applying to with glass cleaner, put the sticker on and move to desired location, and you can get your sticker perfectly straight when everything dries. Counter INTUITIVE. I think Automistake bit ya!

What a BEAST! See ya at Mini Mayhem this weekend😉 and for those that can't make it, we'll make an episode!
Sadly, can't make it this time fellows!! Be out there for the next one!!!
In the future when my mower is built I will see if i can go it probaly be this summer
Man I wish I could afford a go kart at all lmao, much less something with an engine like this. I'm 20 with my first kid otw and literally have never driven or even rode in one lmao. I work on em all the time they just aren't mine

@@dbomber69 you should take a video and put it up on your channel, would be awesome to see
"We'll build you one" and the smile on Charles' face was awesome!
Charles is such a great addition to the team, love his humor he puts into things
Happy 30th to Charles! You guys are awesome! I wish we had mini bikes in Czechia
Try to import one if it isn't too expensive
Super fun to see charles flex his skills.
That was a beautiful build!
Seen comments in the past saying Charles doesn't know what he's doing. If this doesn't prove that wrong I don't know what will. Awesome build guys.
He was just probably camera shy
Great video and yes, happy birthday Charles🎉
I enjoy the addition of Charles to the channel, he really shows his skill’s in this particular video! How did the recovery of price to stolen tools go? I hope things are well with his family! Thanks for the content guys.
That cylinder head is a beautiful piece of engineering ❤

That poor 670 has become a collect all in the corner
they’re gonna get it running again they didn’t drop a shit ton of money on a haltech to not use it 😂😂
Custom billet CNC parts take time, it’ll be back
I'm excited to see the new drag rail hit the track.
Thank god it was on its way out the door. She was wore out.
Time to start over lol
Happy Birthday Charles!
Now I see why you were talking smack. 13;1 is serious smack! That bump stick and canted valve head are wicked!

Nice build guys. You know Mark lives like a hour from me. Good dude. And you got that Johnnie farr going. 😉
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Charles.What a monster .
We used to put the copper head gaskets, from our motocross bikes, on the burners of electric stove tops and let 'em get hot enough to glow. Had to brush 'em off before installing, but it worked great.
Love seeing the build. Gotta say though, with the new shop you boys should build an engine run/test stand. Keep up the good work and content.
Been working with Johnnie Berry for a few years now myself. Let me tell you, there's some magic in that engine. Im sure yall did very well and Happy Birthday to Charles.
that little sucker is ridiculous! sounds fantastic too
Holy hell!!!! Charles, if you are racing that at the GPS180 I'm staying home! Lol. Happy Birthday good sir!
Heck yeah! Amazing episode. Happy Birthday Charles!
Ikes face when chuck told him you gotta leave it on tdc or it'll stress the springs.. priceless
Chrome doesn't get you home, but billet will get you GONE! Great build video!

I was at mini mayhem and this bike smoked everything there!
The hoss with the sauce! I knew it was going to crush!
Charles built a beast.. happy birthday man..
Haha that cooking scene was absolutely awesome!! 😂
Great video with lots of laughter and HAPPY B-day Charles :) I do like to looks of that Engine, be nice to your new build, lots of slow brake in and dang be carful with that Bad Ass Hi HP Small Block......
Cool episode. Mini Mayhem is gonna be awsome.
That bike sounds fine, smooth, and clean. And fast too.
First and Foremost Happy Birthday to Charles ( Big Three OH!) , Hope that you have a Blast at the event this weekend. Love the channel
"Billet will get you away from home and fast!!" 😂 Gotta love Charles!
Happy birthday, Charles!!!
Happy birthday Charles! Nice build
Not a bad birthday present, hope it's a good one Charles!
So awesome!! Can’t wait for the next video. What a beast!! I want one!!
This is probably the meanest sounding mini bike on the channel
If you guys had Johnny Berry work the head and advise on the build there’s no doubt that thing is a beast. !
Happy birthday Charles. Hope you destroy everyone in the strip with that awesome bike.
You guys are giving viewers valuable information on any rebuild. I restore vintage Briggs & Stratton 1hp engines, from the 1940's and the methods you are going over should be applied to every rebuild regardless of the size. Thanks for the correct techniques.
On mother's day weekend? You guys are nuts
great stuff guys thanks. Next week will not come quick enough.
It's about time y'all built one!
Great job guys you even got the Ike seal of approval.
Awesome host in this video. Excellent work, man
Just incase nobody has said it yet be sure and add zddp too your first couple oil changes the great government has taken the majority of zinc out of oil but a engine needs it for wear purposes. Definitely used a high zddp break in oil.
Wow John, I can't put my finger on what it is, but the upload schedule change has really helped you hit your stride with putting these videos together!
Happy Birthday, dude!
Happy birthday Charles 🎉🎉. Great vid guys. Looking forward to #2 😁😁😁👊
Happy Belated B-Day Charles! Fantastic video
I am definitely looking forward to your next video this was an interesting video. I love your attention to detail on stuff. Keep up the good work
Nice build guys. Can't wait to see how it does. All the best at mini mayhem.
I love when content creators say to sit back and relax lol makes me feel less lazy
This thing is sick! Great build!
Looks like it wins on the dragstrip even vertical instead of horizontal😉. Great built.
❤ Love your videos awesome content

Nice build, guys. sounds great. it looks fast.
Oh it's fast alright, and the camera doesn't even do it justice.
Fired up on the first crank that’s awesome 😎
Charles that was a beautiful build and it should be a blast at mini mayhem
Quality engine build details, good job guys!
Can't wait to see this thing on the track!
This was like watching a fine watch being assembled I was amazing 😮
I am gonna guess 36lbs single coils. I run them myself, and they are about that stiff. You can definitely have her living the high rpm life for along time.

i wanna see how crazy this engine is gonna be with a turbo, bc its already frickin crazy, but a turbo is the cherry on top
A 260 CC mini bike that is insane. Electric start would be nice but you don't need the extra weight not sure how easy it is to rope start an engine with 13:1 compression
28:00 wow that is running CLEAN, impressive
LOVE IT!!! This step by step build is great. I've watched you guys from your very first days. Keep up the good work!!!
Wish I could make down there! One of these times I will for sure. Hell of a build guys!
oh my i can tell that thing is going to be fast . great job chuck as ike calls you you did a great build dude.
Cool build. You guys should take it over to Red Beard's dyno and see what it does. 👌👌
Enjoyed this one very much...especially the Chuck In The Box bit :D

Wow I thought he was going to say he was like 22 but anyway great billed as always and happy birthday bud🎉🎉
Nice and with a SpaceX reference at the end!👍🏼 Happy Birthday Charles
billet blocks needs to be made💯
Can't wait to see what it runs, I've had my 212 on the 8th mile and put down 11.9 @ 59mph.
Johnnie Berry/ Laid back racing does awesome work. He did my big valve head on my 236! Also, I get my cut to length 1/4" chromoly pushrods from Childish concepts, good stuff!
Nice job guys 👍 Ike was truly impressed 😂😂
brraaappppp!!! the hawwwggg on that bike is great
Very cool smokin hot build guys! Happy birthday Charles!!🥳🎉🎊🎂🍨🎁🍻
To anneal copper, after heating it must be cooled rapidly by placing in water, letting it cool slowly returns it to normal.
I was going to comment the same thing. Copper needs to be quenched immediately after heating to anneal it. Opposite of ferrous metals.
😮looked like you had the video in fast forward
I love the electric starter!
That's alotta sauce on that hoss baby!
Happy Birthday, Charles!
I always lightly chamfer the parting line on the rod and the bearings. This will prevent scraping material off the back of the bearing and the chamfer on the I.D. of the bearing makes sure the bearing crush will make the parting line a tiny bit further from the crank so it doesn't scrape the oil off.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE!!!!!!
That is a wicked motor...
263cc's of SAUCE baby 🔥🔥🔥
GREAT build video!
Sounds nothing like a mini bike motor, sick
WOW. An Awesome video guys 👍. This Old Man from Washington NC enjoying with my coffee ☕ 3am. You really pulled one over on Ike🤣. Love you Guys 🛵🧔💝💝💝
I’d love to see an old junk 212 run with that inspection side cover on it 😂
That was one of the best 👌 👍
