I think it would be super interesting to know how much you differentiate your products because there are so many opionions on that and you can very quickly price yourself out of a market with improvements.
Hey Sarah great question! Personally, I like to innovate the products I am developing based on my own use of the product first and try to make my own improvements. After I feel like I've taken it as far as I can take it from personal use, then I'll look at the competition and rest of the market to see if I missed anything and so that I know I am better than anything else that is out there, hope that helps 🙏

Hi there Kian . Lovely content ! I have watching your videos back to back. I have been approaching manufacturers in a similar way but quite often find that they don't answer any of my questions, their reply most of the times is : "Which product do you want?" . How do you deal with this when you need to talk to them a bit first and then ask for specific product ? or check if they can manufactured your own design but without revealing your idea just yet?

I was surprised to see you write how are you and put a smiley face cos I thought in professional email you don't do that but I loved it and it resonated. I wanted to ask you a question Kian regarding factory audit...what is your view? I just found a new product and I am not sure if this is going to be successful/profitable product. I am planning to ship a small quantity and I am not sure if I will be working with this factory again, it all depends on how successful the product is. So should one do the factory audit? Hey Kian, really great work on these videos, they are practical and I love that you get into the nitty gritty of it without all the fluff and it's straight to the point.
I'm thinking of purchasing helium but since I'm a beginner and this is the first tool that I've come across that looks really handy, (literally just had an idea for a product 2 weeks ago and started learning about ecommerce). I'm now at the stage of researching my product on amazon/alibaba and sourcing suitable suppliers for my prototype - should I stick with the free trial for now and buy it when I'm at a later stage? If so which stage and which version? Right now I don't have a big budget and I want to make sure every dollar is going towards good use and I'm not dishing out way too much money for tools and product samples before my concept is even proven.

Hey Kian, thanks for the awesome content, supper valuable. question: my supplier was responsible for a DDP shipment (28 days delivery), it's been almost 3 months and still 80% of the shipment hasn't been delivered, they're saying our forwarder screwed us but don't worry shipment is on the way... what are my options here? Can I get my money back? or at least hold them accountable and get better terms for the next order? Thank you.

Is it a good idea to use platforms like DeepL.com to translate your message when communicating with suppliers?
I've not used that website before but looks ok, most of the suppliers on Alibaba speak great English though so it's not really needed I would say...
Hey kian,great info as always.While researching the 2nd product,you mentioned about less freight costs in countries like India & Pakistan.Do you think they are better compared to China in terms of shipping charges?
Yeah depends where you are importing into, but for example if importing into the UK or Europe, the distance is much shorter from Pakistan/India to UK than if it was coming from China. Also, check import duty charges depending on the country you are importing into, for example India, Pakistan and UK are all a part of the Commonwealth so there is no import duties between these countries, but importing clothing from China to UK is 12% so you will save depending on which country you are importing / exporting from 🤓
