Sasha is having the same issue that I was having with the 510's deslotting. Slot Invasion guides on 510's took care of the issue. For me the Ford Escort MkI was the fastest by a hair. Thank you for another fun video and great driving Sasha!
The only reason she was de-slotting was she was pushing it past the limit 😂 She never came out of the slot once before the time trial. The slot invasion guides do work fine, but we have over 30 Revos, and all have the stock guides. There's no need to change them really. We tried some of the guides, and the difference is negligible and in some cases slower than with the original guide.
@@DNASlotCars I'm up the five Revo's and I felt 3 of them needed a guide upgrade. I know Marty is using the Revo wood guide filed to work with on his Carrera track. - Oh trust me....I need to buy stock in Slot Invasion. Everyone of my NSR's have a Slot Invasion guide.
@@DNASlotCars Correct the wood guide needs to be sanded. I tried a couple and did not like how they turned out. I wish I was sponsored, but I would rather support the slot car companies by purchasing their product.
Don't tell me that Chris 😂 had enough issues with the 510 so far. I will see how it goes. My Porsche has a wood guide and is fine. Not tried the standard guide on a Revo yet. Planning on doing a 510 running review soon!
Great stuff! Love the Revo Group 2s. Maybe I missed it, but are these all box stock? Any tuning? My Escort (same livery) is still faster than my 510 but am working on it.😊
Hey John. These have all had basic setup by Sasha & I since our initial review. Nothing crazy, some chassis adjustment, set mesh and tires. We were able to increase the laptimes substantially after setup. Sasha ran them 1 second quicker in this video after our tune.
@DNASlotCars Got it. Just curious if it was an apples-to-apples comparison. BTW, I finally solved the tire rubbing issue on my 510 by putting on some Quick Slicks. No more fiddling with the chassis. Good clearance with these.
The BRM minis are not designed to run against these Revoslot group 2 cars. They're 1/24 scale as opposed to 1/32. The Minis run great against the other BRM mini cars like the gordini and NSU, though. We have a load of BRM cars, but we never run the different scales together ☺️
We have a load of the BRM mini/grp 2 cars. Funnily enough, we've just been talking about doing a live stream over the weekend running all the group 2/mini brms cars against each other. They nay eventually do a Dato, but it won't be for a while yet as the Dato 240z is coming soon. Spoiler alert, we'll have 3 pre-production models to test soon!

They run very nicely once fettled with a little. Very competitive.
