Awesome job Dave. That's a priceless gift. I had to come back and watch again. As I like to take screenshots of the scratch builds for ideas and references for future builds. My grandson age 9 that has got into slot cars as well as his 7-year-old brother were watching this video and goes thats a girl. Lol. He goes I didn't know girls like slot cars also. Now he's watching all the old videos and asking more questions. He wants to get into scratch building and build a camouflage Lamborghini with me.Quite the original idea I thought. It’s sad that you guys needed to get away from a hobby that you love because of what I’m assuming are ridiculous issues, these are just toys that are designed for our enjoyment and entertainment and unfortunately it somehow turns some people into spoiled brat kids who don’t play well with others as I’ve also experienced and seen firsthand. Enjoy your break and hopefully we will see you guys again soon and just remember to keep having fun with your hobby as that’s the reason why we have all started doing this in the first place.

Do what you do be who you are don't let anyone get you down have fun with the hobby, I learned from all my years on YT with 3 channels You can never please everyone and there's always somebody out there who try's to make you upset or pick on something to make you get upset. take your time off and enjoy it. Espectacular felicidades

Put some foam rubber tires on the Porsche 917 (its my favorite car, too), some oil on the ball-beraing, maybe another transition - highly depends on your track (high top speed vs. acceleration) - and some lead weights to increase rear axle contact pressure, clear back tires with duct tape after 10 rounds and before racing and you will reach times inbetween 5.9 to 6.2 - I promise.
