Used to love driving along here. I lived in Balloch at the time so I would go via Glasgow and through to Strathblane and the Drymen road back to Balloch.

Used to explore the Campsies in the early 60s. Started hill walking there. It was a bit different then, the towns at least.

Last time I visited I took a wrong turn and ended up going up and over the Campsies, was so chuffed with myself when I ended up in Balfron where most of my ancestors are from. Thanks Paul for brilliant video, especially starting from where I was born (Lennoxtown), then running through Kirky where my cousins live (Doon Place) ❤
p.s. where can I send petrol money ⛽️?

That junction in Kirkie where you thought that woman cut you up does not have any "priority" and all traffic has an equal right of way... brilliant, isn't it? Pedestrians are supposed to make eye contact with the drivers to "negotiate" who goes first too... great unless you're visually impaired. They are supposed to be reinstating the traffic lights after the council voted to do that soon after the last council elections but the council officers who were responsible for taking them away are stringing it out.
That wasn't the Luggie you crossed after the junction, it was the Forth and Clyde Canal and the chippy is called Ghilloni's. Cheers. 👍😁
