Big respect for Ed Neal returning to his role 50 years later.. You can hear the age in his voice, but he's still got the twitch and stuttering down. It's interesting that they made Nubbins look up to Bubba more in the game, they seem like good friends rather than him bullying Bubba in the Movie.
That is because they are not the Sawyers nor the Hewitts, they are the combination of both resulting in the Slaughters. In theory they have the appearance and aesthetics of the 1973 film but with the family union and cruelty towards their victims as in the 2003 remake, another important detail is that the Bubba of the video game is smarter than the one in the film and that is because Nancy, who is his mother in the 2003 remake, took great care of him and gave him affection. That's why the Bubba of the video game is smarter because here Nancy also takes care of him and in general the family is not as toxic between them as in the 1973 original, it is more united and works as a team like the 2003 remake.
Man I'm so glad that they got Ed Neal to do Hitchhiker again! It just wouldn't be the same if his voice was different such an iconic character. Being one of my favorites.

Man, Nubbins was such a good character in the franchise, may he rest in piece. Unless…the game does it’s own canon timeline for this franchise since it literally has 4 timelines total. Imagine they retcon the ending of the original movie, Nubbins chases Sally he almost gets her, but the truck driver shows up outta nowhere, but the truck didn’t kill him, instead, it injures him, knocking him to the ground, conscious, but unable to get up, telling Bubba to get her. But Sally manages to escape by a random driver on the road, we hear Nubbins start to scream & panic as Bubba does the iconic chainsaw dance in front of the Texas sunrise, then the screen turns black…and silent. This can be a way to keep Nubbins alive in this version of the canon Texas Chainsaw and can be open (if Gun are able to get the tcm 2 license) to have him reunite with this twin brother, Robert, aka, Chop-Top.

Without a doubt, a great character who was able to return to the world after 50 years. And not like current horror movies that don't reach these meat-loving Texans at all.
