- Usually I would put statistics up in the description, but I upload this video as a tribute to an amazing friend that has passed away recently. RIP Kevin Michaels of Theme Park Maniacs. Whether it be your work on your website, RUclips, or your crazy onride photos you always posted to Facebook. You've had an impact on the world that won't soon be forgotten. This video is a tribute to you since Six Flags Great Adventure was your home. This video also concludes my 2015 season. I've hit my goal of 100+ different coaster pov's with a total of 112 ! It's been a crazy/hard 2 years with tons of stress and hours drived in the car, but it was well worth it in the end. I also have made it past 1 million total views and am approaching 2 million ! Crazy... I never thought that would ever be possible. I'm proud that I was able to share my adventures with you successfully and I hope that you'll be patient with me in the future since I'll have to slow down next season. And if you're new to my channel I hope that you take the time to watch some videos and hopefully it inspires you to get out next season and go enjoy some of these amazing rides and great parks. You won't be disappointed if you do ! They are all unique/great experiences. I still have a couple backseat pov's that I need to upload but this video concludes my new front seat pov's for 2015. Ikr? Went to Six Flags Over Texas on a weekend, and the queue was so bad, while Magic Mountain on a weekday was a DREAM.
Charles M. agreed. a few years ago i went to disney around halloween time, during the week. lines at every park were literally 15 minutes or less, no fast pass required (universal, hollywood studios, and magic kingdom were the ones i went to)
abby pallotta In my case though, there was literally no queue, like at ALL. After the ride has finished, I didn’t even have to get out of my seat to do the ride again. Lol
I went today and I was much more stressed about how long it took than the ride (which was straight heaven)

It doesn't matter how long the ride is, a ride could be 5 minutes and do nothing to you. The thrill/force/fear is what makes people go on rides, not how long they can ride it. If you wanta long ride just drive 5 hours up and down the country.

Same I just went today and I was shaking and about to cry sitting there cause I was so scarier, luckily there weren’t a lot of people there in line, when I sat in it and they made a wait there for so long, I was literaly like having a panic attack, was ab to cry and wanted to get off, but then it started to go and it was so loud and fast, I didnt even get time to process what was happening, and I was scared of the coming down part but it barely felt like falling and it was so freakin fun I would totally go again, without the panic attacks tho lol

Yeah from my experience riding top thrill. The first 5-10 seconds are super intense g force wise but everything else is so fast and weightless.

How to determine kingda ka’s launch wait for dummies:
1) Once the metal piece slides underneath the train you’ve got approximately 24 seconds.
2) 20 seconds after the metal piece recoils, you’ll hear an extremely loud hissing.
3) Count to 5.
Scratch that. You wont be able to say 5 as you’ll be hurtling down the track at 128mph at that point. So lets make it 4 seconds.
4) Enjoy you’re ride because with that ungodly line you won’t be able to ride again that day without blowing 4 hours.

Your right. Took me a while to go on this but The other rides are more scary if you dont like roller coasters. Nitro and el toro are scarier. Kingda ka happens so quick you dont even realize it. If rolling thunder was still there that was the scariest. Whip lash and felt like the coaster was coming up off the track.

The launch and acceleration is insane on this thing - it's by far the scariest part. You don't feel the drop.

As a kid, I swore to myself that I wouldn’t ride King da Ka until I was at least 20 years old. But after tons of pressuring from my friends, I finally decided to ride it during the summer. Lemme just say, easily best ride I’ve been on in my life. Went on 2 more times after that and enjoyed it just as much.

Creative Cakes The only true scary party is that extremely fast start. Once you’re at the top and finally going down, you’ll realize you’re just fine and start to smile.

KING BREAD Nah I wouldn’t have the patience for that. I was with my camp when it happened and we went only an hour after the park had opened, so the lines were only 10 minutes max.

I went on this ride yesterday at six flags and lemme just say, the launch is terribly fast so when you go down the hill from the top, your stomach does NOT drop. That was the most epic ride I have ever been on. YALL SHOULD RIDE IT.

This ride isn’t bad , I went on today and you don’t even feel the drop. Trust me you’ll love it , it’s refreshing. I was scared af to go on but I’m just saying... it’s worth it , and be prepared when it first moves

I know its late comment but really? I went on a launched coaster in hershey park (storm runner) and my stomach gets that "butterfly" feeling when its launched. I mean its not nearly as intense as this lol. But its similar smaller version.

@@mwbgaming28 Except the 57m/ sec^2 is wrong. It pulls 5g's flat. Probably when it transitions from straight to starting to climb the tower, as it does so quite suddenly. and 5g's is 49m/s^2. Pretty simple checking of the work here. Can also guarantee that 0-128 in 3.5 seconds is not almost 6Gs because Do-Dodonpo in Japan is, and it goes 0-116 or so is less than 2 seconds. The average person can't take 5Gs for any longer than a second or two without starting to gray out. So if this coaster in Japan had double the acceleration of Kingda Ka, the G-force would scale accordingly, but in fact, Do-Dodonpa pulls only 4.25. Furthermore, Do-Dodonpa's acceleration is easily calculatable, and is 32m/s^2, much less than your calculated figure, and since kingda Ka's acceleration is only roughly half that of Do-Dodonpa, you may want to look at your math.

It was a cool Tuesday and the school had gone on a trip to Six Flags. I did not go with them but showed up on my own. I could not find my friends but I could find these boys in my grade. We went on one ride before going on the Kingda Ka. There were three boys and only one of them wanted to go on the ride so I accompanied him. We went on the ride and on the dreadful, hideous day, I lost my glasses. They fell during the drop and to this day I wonder, where they are. I loved those glasses even though they were hecka ugly.

I just went on this ride, heres a piece of advice: Do not, and i repeat, DO NOT turn your head during the ride. It'll get stuck on one side and your neck will hurt like fucking hell.

As a coaster enthusiast myself sitting here in my bed, my heartbeat is still rising and my palms are sweating. I just can’t imagine the pure insanity when you reach the very top of the top hat and when you get pressed into the back of your seat. It’s probably a nervous feeling. And I sit here in Kentucky with my home park Kentucky Kingdom, with no launch coasters and the only launch coasters I’ve ridden being Flight of Fear at KI, Back Lot Stunt Coaster at CWL, and Thunderbird at HOWO. 😂
I've rode Maverick at CP and Maxx Force at SF great America!! Launch coasters aren't that bad at all. Maverick was the first and i rode it at night that was a little scary, felt like we were flying. Def wanna try TTD and this one

@@screamindog8772 made that comment almost 2 years ago, and in less than 2 months I will be riding a coaster very much like Kingda Ka! Top Thrill Dragster at CP, it actually held the world record for Tallest and Fastest and then SF came in and was like nope! But many people still consider it better than Ka because of the fact of it having lap bars while Ka has the hard Intamin OTSRs.
The only launch coasters I've ridden are Mr. Freeze, Poltergeist, Hulk, and Wave Breaker

Unknown Warrior maybe because I’ve been on multiple launch coasters before this it didn’t scare me as much. For me the top wasn’t scary. It was literally going down because I kept feeling myself have room in the seat. At least with this recording it just says keep your arms down etc. Storm runner in Hershey park legit messes with your mind. It has a heart beating for a few seconds and you literally don’t know when you’re going to take off until it randomly pulls you back while saying “get ready cause here we go. “. That launch always scared me.

many years back, my dad and uncle were waiting on this line while me and my other uncle went on "el toro." They waited 2 hours only to be told the ride would be shut down for maintenance

8 hours now that’s ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! I rode it the 1st year it came out I think that was 10 years ago in 2007 maybe 2006. That was before they had Flash Passes to just skip all lines and go on as many as u want. Anyway I remember me & my girl waited 3 hours to go on the front seat and at that time is was brand new so everything was awesome, the colors and there was no Zumanjaro either, it looks like it needs a paint job now. Anyway it’s an awesome ride but I would NEVER wait again in the heat that long for any ride especially one that is about 30 seconds long. I’m going back this year I haven’t been there since KingDa Ka opened, but I will absolutely pay the additional $160 for the flash pass Platinum so the longest u have to wait on any ride there is 15 minutes. I think it’s worth it. What’s the fun in going to the park and standing in line all day to MAYBE GET TO RIDE 4 or 5 coasters. And with the platinum pass they let u stay on it in your seat and ride it 2x in a row on the same reservation. It’s not fair to the people who have 4 kids and 2 adults you’d have to pay $70 admission each then like $700-800 additional $$$ to get your whole family the platinum passes along with food and drinks. It would be like a $1200 day for a family. Just me and my friend are going so it will be like $300 a pop for each of us oh and there is $40 parking too. But I’ll get to ride everything I haven’t been on any of the new rides since KingDa Ka!

What I like about this ride is that it doesn't give you time to realise how steep the drop is, unlike most roller coasters, which slooowly pull you up and stop right before the drop. This thing just goes full force.

This ride was the 1st roller coaster I ever went on.. WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?! LOL But I know I can ride any roller coaster now without any fear because there's nothing compared to this ride. The SCARIEST part is just waiting to launch from 0 to 150 mph in just seconds. That's insane!!

Truthfully, kingda ka it nowhere near the most thrilling coaster. In the same park there are 2 more intense coasters, those being el toro and batman. Size isn't everything...
