Wow, thanks so much for this video. Me encanta! With your inspiration, I am cutting my exotica today and bagging it. Can't wait to see my results in 2 months! Thanks a bunch! Muchas gracias amigo!
Thank you kindly for this information! Just today my friend had given me a ton of cuttings, she was throwing away! I had no idea of what to do with them! I can’t wait!!
Wow! You got me so excited!!! I wasn't even done with your video... in a flash - came running with a plastic bag and covered my new Scindapsus cuttings i put in soil this afternoon!!!!
@@WesleysPlantWorld Guess what Wesley, I had to change the opaque plastic bag to a transparent one to monitor for molds... and voila!... One of the leaf already sent out a 4 inch sprout!!! Whooohoooo!
@@WesleysPlantWorld by the way, what was your soil mix or media did you use to propagate these beauties? I heard if I use organic matter in my mixture it is susceptible to molds.
I have 2 accounts and watched this video on my TV, I must say I am very impressed with the amount of growth you were able to achieve. I am inspired to try this method. Thank you very much. 😉💚
I love to experiment to see what works best when propagating my plants. I took cutting of my Exotica put them in a plastic box on Moss and they produced roots in two weeks. I did soak my moss in water and added a couple of drops of Superthrive. I was impressed with how fast they rooted. I’ii definitely be trying it your way as well. Thank you.
Fantastic, Wesley! You are a master. I have two small Scindapsus Pictus Exotica plants I bought from an Etsy seller several months ago. Soon afterward, both plants got root rot and I was left with only a few living leaves and nodes. Aaaargh! After much effort, lots of hydrogen peroxide treatments, and liqui-dirt to aid in hydroponically growing back the roots of the only remaining live parts of the plants, I have a handful of cuttings, now with new roots, and now ready to go back into soil. I think I will try your method here to make sure these cuttings have the very best chance of becoming established plants. Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge! Truly, I appreciate you!
Your plants are gorgeous💚. I have a cutting of one leaf exotica it’s been in soil for 2 weeks it’s yellowing a little I am going to do the bag trick. Very informative video💚
Hello sir…..I am going to try this now from cuttings of a Scindapsus Silver Satin I recently purchased (to make another plant). Can you tell me of you started with single leaf cuttings for your Scindapsus Argyreus and the Scindapsus Silvery Ann? Looking forward to reading your reply and Thank you so much for the inspiration!🪴
@@WesleysPlantWorld THANK YOU SO MUCH! A couple of days ago, I started propping some Scindapsus using your bagging method in terra-cottage pots with natural lighting, and so far, so good!! Keep well!😊🪴
Hello, Sir…..Does it have to be put under a grow light? Asking because I do not have a grow light and wondering if I could do the plastic bag propagations and put them near natural indirect lighting? Also, does it require use of terra-cotta pots or can plastic pots work as well? Thank you so much for sharing and I look forward to reading your replies!🪴
Thanks you so much for this method Wesley. I have the Exotica & it's doing fantastic, but my Argeryous I have always had problems with ☹️. Can I just take the 3in🤔 terracotta pot it's in & see if the bag will help it? Will a ziplock bags work the same? How strong of a grow lights should I use as well? Did you cut your hair or style it differently 🤔 I think it looks fabulous 😍👍 Sorry so many questions 😕
I tried this with 3 scindapsis leaf cuttings. I see 2 new growths close to 2 leaves but all the original leaves are yellowing and turning black 😭😭 whats going on? are they rotting? will the new growth survive?
@@WesleysPlantWorld Thanks so much for your response Wesley! Turns out the two old leaves were turning black and dying away to give its nutrients to the new growth. Its a slow process but the new growth looks ready to unfurl its leaves any day now :)
Actually, Wesley, I have a question. Do the plants covered in clear plastic have to go under grow lights, or can they be placed in a sunny location instead?

@@the.modern.unconventional the cuttings grew faster in a bag but not like his though. They are now thriving in fresh air : )

SO INSPIRING!!🪴
I just love the no fail bag method I’ve always had the most success that way an extra bonus is that it will already be in soil
Its lovely to watch the progress of your plants. I guess they enjoy to live together with a ray of sunshine

Genius. I have some Scindapsus that are not doing well. I’m about to throw them in the bag.
Thankyou 💙
Hi can the bag trick also be done with the scindapsus treubii moonlight
How do you avoid fungus grow, rot, and gnats? I'm curious about this method but I'm concerned I would kill my propagations.
Where do you keep the pot in bags ? Does it need light ? Additional watering ? Does the time of the year matter ?

Do you have a video on how you placed them in the bags?
Haha never mind!!! Just saw the end of the video.
Do we have to use Terra cotta?
No you don’t have to use terracotta, you can use other materials too, just check the moisture isn’t too much and that the soil is not saturated 🪴
Hi wesley did u put your bag propagation near a window dis u give it extra light while it was in its little green house x
