This was my breakthrough coaster. Being 11 years old in the summer of 1986, not even sure why agreed to stand in line with my dad for this ride, then doubling down and waiting to get in the first two spots... but knowing I couldn't back down. You gotta remember how insane riding standing up was back then, let alone standing through a loop. Laughd through my terror riding it the first time. Must've rode it 3 more times immediately afterwards. Been happy to ride anything, the crazier the better, ever since. I'll never forget it.

There was nothing painful about this ride if you knew how to ride it. To this day not a single stand up coaster on the planet gives any airtime, this one (and it's 2 clones) had 2 very aggressive airtime moments, one just before the helix and one just after. I miss it very much and will even more now that all the other 2 are now closed as well. Sad.

So reassembling is that much more unlikely. I never got to ride it cuz I was 6 when they removed it, but man I hear all kinds of great stories about it. It’s a shame it was made by Togo, arguably the worst manufacturer to exist, and had to be removed when the Togo centers went bankrupt in America due to the failure of Windjammer Surfers. If you want to ride something similar again, come to Canada's Wonderland and experience Sky Rider "Canada's first stand-up looping coaster". It's been operating fine since 1985 and still running strong. B&M offers a stand-up coaster model, but literally NO ONE likes stand-ups. If you enjoyed it, good for you! There are still some operating stand-ups left in the US, such as Vortex at Carowinds. Although, Cedar Fair has stated that they plan to convert/remove all stand-up models at their parks. If you want to ride a stand-up one last time, you'd better head to Carowinds and enjoy yourself. 2017 may be the last year to ride one.
