Great video, two question's if i may ask, does it actually work or just a gimmick, small fan and a filter to draw through? secondly, does it need a minute or so to vent out before you can open the loo to cassette hatch? Kind regards
@@robertoduranos5196 hi Yes I think it works but it’s definitely not perfect sometimes I think it’s working great and then sometimes not so great. Yes you should wait as long as possible before opening up the toilet flap. So to summarise if you can get it fitted I would but it’s a luxury but you could do with out.
In New Zealand our laws are changing so in the near future to get a self containment certificate the toilet has to be vented. I found your video very informative, well done in tackling a job others would struggle with. I liked your approach not buying a hole saw saving 35pound 😊 interested in how the fan works, looks to small for the job. Mike.
Hi many thanks After 6 months I think this dose work Not quite as well as I would like you do get some smell but I think this is how quick you push the flush button and open the door on the toilet cassette. I have now started using the bio chemical as well and this works very well.
Just see you asked about the fan Yes I did think the same but works well You can hear it in side the van. But it’s not very loud from out side. You can fill the air flowing from the vent pipe if you put your hand under the pipe. So it’s definitely pull the air and smells out.
You are obviously very knowledgeable about what you are doing , but to a newbie with no idea about electrics this was very confusing !! and no help to me at all, and still unsure of the benefits of this.??
Hi this will stop any smells coming up from the toilet. As the little fan sucks them out of the bottom of the motorhome or caravan . Then you do not need any toilet chemicals. This is a cost saving and you can empty your toilet in any toilet if you wish. You can find more info on the benefits of this in stall online if it’s something you would like fitted. Apart from plugging the fan in to the new button panel there was no new wires to add to your van. But as all ways if you are worried about installing parts please use a professional installer. Thank you for watching the video and if I can help you with any more detail please let me know.
Hi thanks for the comment But I didn’t say you had to get one. If it’s not for you then just open the window ,but my bum didn’t fit out of my window. lol. Have a great week and good trips.
