Ten years ago, a Pe-2 was found in the Bzura River, 9 kilometres from my home. Many elements have been preserved

The bodies were buried at the cemetery of Soviet soldiers

Great light bomber. I've been particularly interested in the considerable use in the photo-reconnaissance role, taking much valuable information about german troop deployments and important static targets - Berlin included. The soviets seemed to be very attentive to this task, having several regiments with up to 49 aircraft each dedicated to this often dangerous mission.
