486 (NZ) Sqdn was NEVER a Royal New Zealand Air Force squadron, it was an Article 15 Sqdn, under RAF control, based in UK. Manned by many New Zealanders, it also had British pilots on-strength, and the ground-crew was almost entirely British.

The rotation may have been to arm the warhead. Many munitions do not arm until they have rotated a set number of times. It's a safety feature to keep from killing the crew.
Interesting, the part from 0.22 to 0.29 is the messerschmitt bf 110 flying over Dale or Dalekvam where Dale of Norway are located.
