    I had the honour of knowing one of the 450sqn mechanics that found and recovered this aircraft.

    This is "Black 6", a G-2 captured in Libya in 1942. Restored to airworthy later on, it flew at many shows in the 1990's. Now part of the RAF Museum collection and no longer flying.

    That would’ve been neat if Douglas Bader or Robert Stanford Tuck would’ve had the opportunity to fly this 109.
