    My brother and I fished exactly where you were standing, I spent many hours learning to fish with my big brother Nathan and they are some of my fondest memories as a child, catching perch, skimmers, Bream, roach, Rudd and gudgeon on our summer holidays.
    Thanks for bringing it all back, really good video.

    That is the finest pair of shoes i've ever seen a man fish in!! Great video mate.

      Yes if it's not a chisel toe brogue the perch won't bite!

    Enjoyed you visit to Stone Bridge Andy, nice to see you catch some small pike. There are some decent sized pike on that stretch normally falling to live baits and plugs. Keep up the good work

    Had some nice bream, where the dirty ditch goes in the R.Lea at Tottenham Hale, even had a 2lb 6 Mirror Carp, and lovely 15lb bag of Dace, my local back in the day, Tightlines Andy 🎣🎣🎣🎣

      @TheBudgetAngler  3 года назад

      Still plenty of roach and perch there, nothing huge, never seen a dace there, you do get the odd nomadic carp shoal though 👍

      @@TheBudgetAngler Used to be loads of Dace and Bleak, and above Stonebridge Locks , used to catch them off the top on floating casters , especially warm summer evening's 🎣🎣🎣

      I watched a great angler catch an amazing bag once at totty hale, back in the day. Might of been you Clive. Remember seeing a nice carp in the net. I remember cracking dace from the pymmes brook that ran into the Lea......

    When I used to fish and on the Lee navigation in the sixties when river still use by tugs and lighters and Tottenham lock was mechanised and busy with traffic lights controlling traffic we used cast behind the dumb lighters as they went past and get little perch as lighters stirred up the food favourite was just before Tottenham lock below Tottenham lock navigation was dead oily and very polluted and sludgy……with lots of dead animals wood sewage and tyres no trolleys as they were not around in any numbers in those far off days before superstores !!!

      @TheBudgetAngler  3 года назад

      Great memories Chris, thanks for sharing! That part of the Lea is still reasonable for a fish or 2 although a shadow of it's former self. It's great to see someone go through some of my older videos, bringing back memories for me too! Thanks again mate 🎣👍😀

    In the states here we call a young pike a hammer handle,because they are length of about a hammer's handle.

      Hey, yeah I do Walthamstow reservoirs at Tottenham Hale, fly fishing on reservoirs 4 and 5, and you can use any method on the higher maynard reservoir. There is also a fly fishing place in Epping called Thornwood. Have a google

    Correct me if I am wrong. But I thought lure fishing was not aloud on this stretch of the canal. According to the "club"rules.

      Hi there, lure fishing is allowed all year round on that section. 👌

      @@TheBudgetAngler Thanks. Just started fishing 5 months ago, but in a big way. Currently in South Korea and loving having the time to fish. Soon returning to the UK (Early January) and can't wait to try my hand at fishing around London. Hoping at least some fish still biting at that time of year, as of a couple of days ago, every thing froze over here. Joined your Facebook channel too, hope this works out for you, we could do with several more London (non carp related) fishing channels.

    £15 a year. That's a good ticket.

    • @TheFartbreakKid
      @TheFartbreakKid 5 лет назад

      BUSHCRAPPING there is a reason for that. Because it is shocking. Eastern Europeans stole most of the fish about 10 years ago. Hasn't recovered since.
