@@mehdhihassan If I had to choose, I'd say Abbey Road, but it's not as simple as that. Lately I'm on a White Album kick. Next month, I'll be on a Let It Be kick.
I have that box set since 2010. I really amazed because 11 years later it still new like I first bought this set. EU pressing has a great material for packaging. Love the Beatles ❤️❤️
i remember getting into the beatles buying all the 1987 CDs in the early 2000s, i believe Revolver is the first album i ever bought with my own money. i remember being a kid just starting high school when the digipacks came out, and i always kinda lusted after them. i didn’t need them, but i wanted them. after spending the better part of the last decade buying LPs i got back into CDs this year. first thing i bought was the mono box, but i couldn’t resist the Abbey Road and Let it Be 09 stereo copies. the whole collection is fantastic, i’m not sure any future Beatles releases can top what they accomplished in 2009
The 2009 were all remastered versions of the original stereo and mono mixes. What has been coming out recently has been remixed versions of the albums with bonus tracks and outtakes. All great stuff.
I have this box set and it's beautiful with the Photos, Video, and Music content of The Beatles from their entire Studio catalog all in one box. Sad that I did not have The Mono Box, but got the Super Deluxe Pepper Album with the legendary Mono Mix.
Hi Mike! Very nice box set. I wish that I had purchased it when it first came out. I only have a couple from that release that I purchased individually. Now I have retired and have time to listen, and build up my LP and CD collection. It would be great to have another box set release for those who missed out, and for the new generation of Beatles fans. Best regards, Brian.
This box set is still available, new or as one of many used copies out there from 11 years on the market. Remember, the 1987 CDs were it for 22 years before the '09 remasters, so don't hold your breath. I think we'll continue to get remixes of individual albums for the next several years before another comprehensive box set, but who knows?
Brian, I've kept tabs on ebay listings recently, and have found that if you're patient, you can get a stereo box set in very good or better condition for between $50 and $70 or so (auction or fixed price, but usually auction format).
In 2009 I bought the Mono box and these stereo albums seperately. I made my own DVD of the mini Docs. I bought the stereo box probably five years ago. Last year I intentionally bought the European counterfeit that came out right after the legitimate release. I bought it just to have it. I also have a set of the stereos that is in one of those crates that come with the t-shirts. The guy I got it from said he won it from a radio contest (which I vaguely remember). The UPC codes on all the covers have a scratch so they couldnt be sold. It's purely a nick-nack but I love it. Like I said on the mono video, I prefer these mixes of Rubber Soul and Help.
We took a similar path. I got the Mono box and only those Stereo albums not included with In Mono. About 5 years later I got curious abut the stereo box and decided to get that. I also have a counterfeit version of that box, and the crate, which included the Abbey Road CD and t-shirt.
@MiamiBeach xxx gotta agree with the other Mike. The one downfall is to get a full song catalog you have to get the first four albums in stereo along with Abbey Road and Let It Be. For three songs also you need to get Past Masters.
I don’t have the set itself but I do have Abbey Road and Revolver from the set because my grandad gave me Abbey Road and I bought Revolver on Trade Me. Very nice looking set
@@line_spring it’s a very nice way of having all of The Beatles core catalog in one box! I notice the official site no longer sells this box set. It is 15 years since release, so I suppose it could now be out of print, but there are lots out there. Just watch out for counterfeits if you do decide to get this set.
I found it interesting that The White Album did not come with the mini portrait photos (similar to the 30th anniversary release). I know they included the portraits on the sides of the CD cover pack, but to keep the reproduction real, that would have been a nice touch. Anyone know if the mono set has the portraits?

Hi, Mostly Ilisten to just 2 cd's from this set: Abbey Road and Let It Be. The other albums of The Beatles xatalogue I prefer in Mono. Considering Yellow Submarine, I skip it.
Not into the remix of Abbey Road from last year? Will you give a new remix of Let It Be a listen if ever it comes out? Yellow Submarine is essential for the 4 songs not included elsewhere. Hey Bulldog is a great song, and George's "All Too Much" rocks as well.
My only problem with this and so many box sets is that the CDs get scratched every time you remove them from cardboard. Why do companies persist with this. They can’t provide a plastic sleeve! I remove straight away trying not to scratch the discs and put them into plastic sleeves. Cardboard is crap for cds.
I got some of the rice paper sleeves, like those that were included in the In Mono box set, and put the discs in those before sliding them back into the cardboard sleeve. But, most of the time I just rip the albums to iTunes in a lossless format anyway, so...
@@MagicalMysteryMike in agreement with you except I rip in Wav, downsize to Flac. It's an old habit from when computers didn't have as much power. That's mostly what I use in the home. I then make MP3s for portable listening.
@@MagicalMysteryMike I finally bought some rice paper sleeves from an ebay seller who apparently gets them from a well-respected Japanese company. Tonight, I went through my CD collection and found all of the cardboard or paperboard CD jackets and housed the CDs in the rice paper sleeves before putting back inside the cardboard/paperboard jackets. If I get the Beatles Stereo CD box set at some point (still monitoring the ebay listings), I'll definitely use the rice paper sleeves for those CDs.
Yes, I did disclose this in the description. I rerecorded the voiceover, made some corrections, and changed the music on the stereo set video, and made some edits and corrections on the mono set video. Figured 09.09.20 was the right date to give these 09.09.09-related videos some new life.
I recently got the 2009 box set straight from Amazon, but the CDs inside, while in chronological order, were upside down after the white album. They also weren't wrapped individually, like you show in the video. Is it a possible bootleg? I got it from amazon as a seller themselves, not third party.
The examples you outlined, though unusual, do not automatically confirm what you’ve got is anything but a genuine box set, but it’s worthwhile for you to check closely so you can get a replacement if there’s anything off.
@@MagicalMysteryMike Thanks. The coloring is correct, and everything seems genuine, but the individual CDs weren't wrapped like yours. Yes, there are several telltale signs of a counterfeit without even opening the box. Definitely check out videos on it. I'll have to make one myself at some point. Some of the errors are quite comical.
@@MagicalMysteryMike I wonder why the Chinese counterfitters haven't replicated the FBI Warning on their fake box sets. Good thing they didn't, so that it's much easier to distinguish a fake from an authentic set. The Beatles In Mono CD box set doesn't have the FBI Warning to the left of the bar code like the Stereo CD box set does, but I think the FBI Warning is on the bottom of the Mono set.
A great set but it's a pity they didn't include the 'iTunes exclusive' film of the Beatles Washington concert or release it independently. By the way, what's the awful background music you play? Hope its not an original😀. Cheers
Well, if you recall The Beatles were not on iTunes in 2009. That's a topic for my next video. Originally I used a Miles Davis track for this video, as Kind of Blue had gone into public domain; however, I received a copyright claim. Plus the voiceover volume was too low, so I decided to rerecord the voiceover and add copyright free music (credited in the description). What better way to celebrate the 11th anniversary of 09.09.09?
Of course you're right Mike about iTunes. Had it in my mind it coincided with the release of the box sets. Miles Davis was my father, he changed his name from Miles Miles. I'll get my coat...
