I'm so glad I found your channel! I've been wanting to travel and explore the world and you make it seem so easy! I seriously can't even wait for your upload half the time! Is it possible for you to make a video on how you finding living places for these countries? I would love to visit Thailand and live there for two or so weeks and want to know how to get a cheap apartment, ect. like you previously done. Thanks!
I commented on Perth in your Melbourne vid. Youll love Freo. Be good to see how you go living there as Ive only visited which was great. Weather is more stable in Perth. It gets hot during Summer. Look forward to your new vids of Perth.
I never been to the other parts of australia yet, but my first impression of Perth were great! Went there last Sept, the weather there is just perfect, and people I've met are generally friendly and warm. Can't wait to return to Perth next year. I hope you'll enjoy your stay Amanda. Keep the vlogs coming in! :)
I too once lived in a room for 2 months that didn't had a "real" window - the window was in the corner and covered by a wall that was right in front of it. Initially, I thought it was fine, but it wasn't at all. Couldn't have done it for much longer than that haha! you look so happy having moved to perth and all! congrats on the jobs!! I cannot wait to see more of perth! :)
Just keep doing positive things and good things will happen for you, Be busy network, I was a bit worried about you in the last video you never know how things pan out life if filled with ups and downs so you have to ride them out and alway look for the better . Incidently Melbourne is a great town with lots of creative outlets, you will find cheaper rent if you move out of town you dont have to be Melbourne centric most people live in the burbs and the country areas are also great and beautiful.
We worked in OZ in 1988 on a working holiday visa. It looks like things haven't changed, employers taking advantage of lots of young people looking for work.
Perth is a great city, great weather, so much to do and see, as is Fremantle, other place to see Margaret river so beautiful , penguin Island and yes there are penguin , look them up. I know you have a great time in Fremantle my favourite place to go
I might go back at some point as the visa for Americans has just been extended so I'm allowed to get a second year visa now. Maybe next summer will be spent in Melby :) :)
"Liveable"? "Public transport is amazing"? Really? Where did you stay, West Melbourne and walk to the CBD every day for lunch? Did you actually have to work here, or commute anywhere?
The weather in Melbourne is awful (I'm from there) but the weather west of Melbourne in the Central Highlands (where I live now) is even worse (colder). I don't want to whine about it but it's the truth! Melbourne's pretty good otherwise.
Hi Amanda, you said your rent (back then) was $200 a week, but you also said you then found 2 jobs. So... you didn't have employment to begin with? Therefore how in the heck could I move to Perth and HOPE to find employment? Or were you just rich and $200 for say 10 weeks wouldn't have effected you?? I didn't understand that part.
Hey, we just found your channel! We came to Melbourne in October too and had no idea about the weather or cost of living before we got here..major shock! We thought maybe we could meet up and say hi, but then realised you'd already moved to Perth, haha! Hope you have a better time over there, we've subbed to you- excited to find out what it's like. We're vlogging our time here in Melbourne and the first few months were about us wearing coats and hats! Best of luck to you 😄☀️
Everyone says Melbourne is so nice, but I didn't find it as interesting as I thought it would be. Might be my least favorite place if the places I did visit. If I ever visit Australia again I think Perth will be high on my list of places to go. Yes it's far off, but my guess it will be worth the detour.
976$ per month and thats a lot for you ? Your Welcome to Israel people kill for price like you had in Melbourne. houses get kidnapped like quick . here a shitty house gonna cost you around 1230$ and in Tel Aviv much more higher between 1600$ to 1900$ could go up even 2600$ per month !!! lol and thats just a house you got electricity and water and food dont forget that lol cost of leaving here much more higher :p But yeah i know Perth are nice ! also Golden Coast
it was a lot considering the room I was renting - it was just a room, not a whole apartment. I was renting what is basically a large walk in closet for $967 a month. It was just not right for me :)
haha since then I went from Perth to Bali to Melbourne to Sydney to Cairns to Gold Coast to Byron Bay to Sydney to Hawaii to California to Oregon and then to New Zealand. But Perth was great :)
Changes for the better! You seem happier. I'm super excited for you! :)
Melbourne in known for its 4 seasons in one day.
