One question bro, i do every step right, but when i shutdown the console and i start it, it shows the gamestick image and then the screen freezes and turns green. What could be happening?
I got to the part where you install the images but they dont load into the system and the EEROMS Folder doesnt show the ROM files but it shows it as full.???

I made all proves and not recommend to change that emuelec version, N64 looks GREAT because can run games with mupen 64 plus next, all games looks greatwith real HD textures etc but it only lasts a few minutes then starts to appears graphic errors, bugs (only playing 3 minutes approx), also in psp games it loose power to run that, only can run at psp x1, other consoles it's not worth talking
great video.. My only problem with this stick is the crappy controller with the awful latency... it is game breaking at times.. Is there a way to fix this? because i cannot hook up a better controller on this thing. not even a cabled controller..
You need a 2.4G wireless controller with USB. I hooked up a different controller and it works for me. The system should recognize itself as the connected controller through USB and give you access to the controller configuration. You also need to buy an extended USB hub to connect two controllers and it also worked for me!

The way I did it I think is easier, at least for me, but may not be for some. I wanted to preserve the built in theme that came with the card. The menu options are compiled into the binary and not configurable. What I did; Take the download provided, copy the SYSTEM file which is actually a squashfs linux filesystem. unsquash it (requires linux), copy out the /usr/bin/emulationstation binary file as this is what we need to replace the one that came stock on the card. Next take the card that came with the Y6, copy the SYSTEM from the EMUELEC partition, and unsquash it, rename or replace the old /usr/bin/emulationstation with the one you obtained from the provided download. Resquash the fs using lzo compression and name the file SYSTEM. Then run md5sum on the file to create the new md5 hash. replace the SYSTEM and SYSTEM.md5 on the original card (I renamed the old ones as SYSTEM.org and SYSTEM/md5/org) . Thats it. Boot up and it works with the same theme that came with the card and full menu's. The buttons are slightly different though as you need to go back from the startup emulator choice (B) to choose the emulator instead of using left-right, and exit in-game is special+X to pull up that menu. Now I can add/remove what games I want and tell it to rescan! not to mention turn off the startup video, or even replace it with my own videos. I'm not going to go into full detail so please don't ask. I may write the steps up and post it somewhere, but I plan to play with some additional themes before I do that. If you are computer savvy enough to have linux, then you should easily be able to figure out the small steps yourself. side note for those inclined to dig: If you have linux or a linux subsystem, you can mount the SYSTEM file with something like mount -o loop /media/ubuntu/EMUELEC/SYSTEM /media/EmuSYSTEM and then browse it, but know that any squashfs is read only and cannot be modified without unsquashing, modifying, then resquashing. The Y6 setup includes the SYSTEM file which is mounted at boot and used for much of the root filesystem and binaries. There is a storage folder in that filesystem that the STORAGE partition is mounted on. This is the partition that Windows does not recognize as it is a linux partition. This is the RW mount where all of the config files are stored, mostly in the .config hidden folder. The operating system starts emulationstation using the systemctl as part of systemd.

Bro, you can try to put your sd card on a pc and execute the "verify and repair", just DON'T FORMAT
