In my humble opinion, this is by far your most impressive of your Disney compositions/arrangements. I've added this to my "learn to play this when I don't suck at piano" list
Your left hand is unreal. Anyone who actually knows how to play the piano can appreciate those arpegios. Not only the speed, but the tempo with your right is perfect. Amazing.
One of the best “I bet this random song I wish existed actually does on youtube” videos ever. Was seriously just imagining my own wish upon a star variations on piano and lo and behold it exists already. Sick performance
I almost cried this was so beautiful. My search for a talent show piece is over. It has the perfect balance of showmanship, beauty and I'm sure it will be a crowd pleaser to boot!
I dont understand piano in the slightest or reading music, but after watching this I now see how Kyle implements the many variations at his disposal to give the covers he does the twist/flair they need that makes them seem so fresh and new when he plays them. Bravo Kyle Landry...Bravo 👏 A genius unmatched
For a brief 5 and a half minutes I was a kid again... A kid that dreamed with an imagination gone wild every time I saw the Disney castle at the start of a film - dreaming of the wonders and magic that lay within the enchanting Disney world. Your playing took me back there... back to childhood... back to dreaming... back to enchantment... away from the stresses of adult life. Thank you Kyle. Thank you
Passion, Excitement, Emotion, Agility, Speed, Wow!! I love your "Unique" style and your When you Wish Upon a Star-Variations. The sound evokes nostalgic, magical and optimistic feelings. You never Hammer the keys. Highs, Lows, pianissimo (quiet) and forte (louder). it is clearly evident that you love the keyboard/piano. Very few artists have the emotional sensitivity to produce music that is truly heartfelt and enjoyable. Wow!!! I love this!!! You are an amazing pianist!
I can cry listening to this. This cover is the essence of Disney. You captured all the elements of fun, liveliness, magic, fantasy, happiness, uniqueness and warmth. Touching
That was absolutely breathtaking. I wish I could play the way you do, but maybe one day. The way you arranged it all made me want to to cry, but I crying is not something I usually do lol. You almost made me cry though! Mr. Disney would be proud though and this just make me really emotional and I could go on ranting about how I feel and I could write a whole essay about my emotions right now but I really do not have the time because im literally on an elevator trying to get somewhere and I feel like my fingers are about to explode and...and...:) keep up the beautiful work!
Thank you so much for playing this! I requested it a while ago and it makes me so happy to see and hear you play it. It's exactly how I would've imagined you playing it; beautifully with your own edge, emotional and feel of children, and with so much joy and fun, just like a Disney film! You did the song so much justice and I would like to thank you so much for sharing your music with me! :)
Absolutely amazing! it's such a pleasure to watch you play! How incredibly talented you are, not just audibly stunning, but it's visually stunning to watch you as well
This is the kyle landry that gives me the chills and is so breathtaking. Like you're Halleluja, Part of Your World with ViolinTay, and Star Wars. Unbelievable..Never stop making quality videos.
Because you can't just play a song. You have to turn it into a work of art. I can't hear this song the same way again! It will never be as awesome as this video right here.
that's a great quality to have! also im very impressed with your interaction on older videos! just another reason why you are the reason I joined youtube :)
3:45 is my favorite variation i love how the piano sounds when you play like that on your left hand i need more practice, lol awesome work Kyle you really inspire me one day i will start to post videos as well but i don't feel good enough yet.
my piano ability consists of playing Yankee Doodle and Mary had a Little Lamb as individual notes but I shall dedicate a year to learning and deciphering what Kyle is playing via this obstructed angle. wish me luck.
so beautiful and enlightening!!! you inspire me (along with many others) to keep playing ;D Thank you so much for sharing your hard work and amazing talent!
Oh bonjour Pierre-Yves ! ;-p
Since people keep accusing you of it, maybe in one of your videos you should time it on like your phone to prove them wrong ;) Keep up the amazing work man!
I was looking for a Kyle Landry's version of this last Tuesday (was a bit impressed because I couldn't find it). Two days later, ta-da! Thank you, Kyle! Good job, as always. Have you ever thought of playing it with a very soft beginning, and then doing the great sorcery that you do on piano afterwards?
This is the best variation of this song I have ever heard! Do you have any tips for memorizing a piece? This is a longer piece and you never have to pause because you remember it perfectly.
Sarah .Hernandez In this case there isn't a lot of memorizing for Kyle to do because it's the same melody being played over and over except in different variations. A lot of what he is doing here is improvising off the melody with different styles. He knows how to fluff up a simple melody with beautiful arpeggios, scales, etc. and "fill in the gaps" per se. How he does it as well as he does in his arrangements still baffles me to this day, but just learning his arrangements has already helped me understand music theory and his way of thinking so much better. I probably would have given up playing the piano a while ago if it wasn't for him. Now I play every day. :)
Ryan692 I appreciate your analysis of Kyle's arrangement. I hadn't thought about it in that way. It is amazing what he can do with a simple melody. I am learning the 2nd movement of Pathetique by Beethoven right now, and I thought it was going to be heard to memorize. However, a large portion of it is variations on the main theme, so it isn't too bad. I know what you mean about Kyle performances, it still baffles me how he can play so well. I play the piano everyday too. I am happy that you have continued to still play the piano, don"t ever give up! :)
A Clavinova is a little pricey IMO but it certainly is an excellent piano for a beginner. I have the Arius YDP-181 myself and it is perfect (the Clavinova is basically an upgrade with similar features). So if it fits your budget, go for it! Not to mention you don't ever have to worry about tuning it like an acoustic and you can wear headphones, etc.....there's pros and cons for both. :)
Damn, I just came from watching a bunch of graphics card videos to decide for my new build and I catch you wearing an Nvidia logo. Wonderful playing man.
In my humble opinion, this is by far your most impressive of your Disney compositions/arrangements. I've added this to my "learn to play this when I don't suck at piano" list
I need such a list :D Thanks for the idea.
Did you ever get to learning this arrangement
If I was this good I don't think I would leave the piano. Ever.
If you never leave the piano, you will be this good. xD
Marchii Haha well played!
+Ryan692 "Well played"
Well played XD
Marchii I swear if I ever write a movie that's like the piano version of The Karate Kid, I will feature your response in it.

You should check out Nahre Sol's video on piano composition as Wired if you enjoyed and learned from this.
I've listened to a very good amount but you are the only person who i can listen to over and over without getting bored
Seeing your fingers move make me imagine two dancers just dancing across the keys, having a good time; simply amazingly.
Loved the largo grandioso version. I felt the dramatic chill wash through my body
For a brief 5 and a half minutes I was a kid again... Thank you Kyle. Thank you
you deserve an award

OMG love it whenever you post a movie soundtrack arrangement. Especially Disney and Studio Ghibli. The childhood never dies :')
I can cry listening to this. This cover is the essence of Disney. You captured all the elements of fun, liveliness, magic, fantasy, happiness, uniqueness and warmth. Touching
This was uploaded on my birthday

Jonathan Hong Always awesome to meet friends from another place on the internet!
Happy unbirthday! :D

I was just on a Disney kick last night, listening to a bunch of different songs......and this just made my day! This is wonderful! :D
What an amazing performance. Truly magical. The build up was utterly sensational.
Thank you so much for playing this! I requested it a while ago and it makes me so happy to see and hear you play it. I bet you had so much fun playing this!! its so hard to play but you make it look soo easy
The speed of your fingers.... Unbelievible! Fantastic video! Thanks for sharing!
A man of honour on the Internet - thanks for trying with me to make it a better place ;)
Absolutely amazing! it's such a pleasure to watch you play! How incredibly talented you are, not just audibly stunning, but it's visually stunning to watch you as well
Wow, that was amazing! I love how you contrasted the different sections of the piece.
I recently started listening to Disney song again. Its great to see u play Disney songs.
This is the kyle landry that gives me the chills and is so breathtaking. Like you're Halleluja, Part of Your World with ViolinTay, and Star Wars. Unbelievable..Never stop making quality videos.

You are just one of those guys that seems they could just play ANYTHING they have in their head. Amazing!!
I am finally getting a piano this weekend. Thanks for all your inspiration @kylelandry . You are my all time favorite pianist.
LOVE LOVE LOVE your playing! I even love the Nintendo cameos. You truly bring back nostalgia and childhood. :D
I'm the kind of person that would screw up just a single note right at the end and have to completely redo it.
This is absolutely fantastic!
Jesus!! I can NOT believe his hands just went that fast at 3:25! You go Kyle
This always was my ultimate favorite song, especially on the piano, but you brought it to a whole new level... I want to play this classic too! :D
The improvisation! You are a true genious!
Kyle you never cease to impress me.
Excellent job Kyle! Loved hearing every second. I hope you can transcribe this and put sheet music up. Keep up the brilliant work!
I happened to be practising this song this week.. and your video has just given me some inspiration. Thanks Kyle!
I absolutely love this, I could listen to it all day

Well done! And thank you for the added lesson in Italian - the language of love and music.
These Disney songs you do just make me so happy 😊😊😊 You're so talented
I love that you have those consoles on the top left side. Perfection
Do you have any idea how long I've waited for this song? It was SO worth the wait!!
Because you can't just play a song. You have to turn it into a work of art. I can't hear this song the same way again! It will never be as awesome as this video right here.
*goes to the hand doctor after trying to learn this*
This is like a short class on arrangement, I love it.

HAH I beg to differ from both of you.
Greatness starts with small steps and thinking big

That is wonderful, so talented. I play the piano also but not as well as you. Beautiful variants
I don't know if it was your piano playing or that Nintendo 64, but man, I felt some nostalgia in my heart just then
Been waiting for this one for a while! Fantastic job like always! Liked/favorited before I watched :)

THIS IS AMAZING OMG i wish i could play like this . Your amazing kyle.
I wish you can make sheet music for all versions of this song! This was my lullaby as a baby, and I wish to repay my mom for singing this to me :)
Damn, I just came from watching a bunch of graphics card videos to decide for my new build and I catch you wearing an Nvidia logo. Wonderful playing man.
I knew just from the start that this was a Kyle Landry video.
Is it just me or does it get very Howl's Moving Castle-esque in the middle? :)
Love it, thanks for sharing awesome person!
3:46 I LOVE IT SOOO MUCH
Amazing. You are incredibly talented.
i have been waiting for this! so happy :)
