I can’t believe you still have that lathe sitting backwards mate. I was sure that was the “big change” in the turning room when we started this episode. Love these behind the scenes episodes; keep ‘em coming!
At 21:15 you put the coin-holder thingy back in with the pins in different corners to the square you used to calibrate the laser in the first place. I don't know if that would make a difference to the alignment, but it could explain why the engraving was off-centre when you ran it soon after...
Was half expecting to say you had put the cnc lathe the right way round
Gotta love optimism 😂
This is the best four stages trilogy of all time!
Nevermind the cosmetic deffects, I would love to get my hand on one of these beautifully imperfect mallets!
Congratulations!
At 15:03: That Guinness glass wants to take a dive!
Need a repair technique for when it breaks, thats the problem with exotics as handles, i believe, Hickory is hard to beat
They do look good and I love the content. You are very informative and I've learned a lot from your videos about sharpening chisels. Even though you are young you have a lot of knowledge and I can't wait to learn more from you. Stay safe and Happy Building 💯😁
I have one of the prototype mallets, it is amazing. The production ones will be incredible
I don't think that black offset area is oval. I think it's just an illusion because it's not concentric to the coin. Get you a pair of calipers and measure. if it's an oval, that would be a serious flaw in the laser machine.
Cant wait for these to release!
Thanks for sharing.
You should have added the serial number to the coin, maybe do them again.
Have a Look at the x Tool f1 Laser its Perfect for that Job ! I love your marking knifes 😊
Absolutely beautiful love watching your videos as a new woodworker I’ve learned so much from watching your videos Thank you for sharing your talents with us all. I’ve been trying to find out how to purchase one of these prototype mallets, but I’m not having any luck. I’ve never been able to find a sign up or a link to purchase one connected to any of the videos. I’m in the US in Colorado.. how would I go about doing this?
At 5:07 watching Matt pound the wood. And enjoying it all the while!
Why not do several coins at once in one jig? And have a recess in the jig?
Who cares what one person said about you putting your Signature on your work. If a lot of other people and you like it then do what you want. Btw I think it looks cool plus it gives it a little more of a personal touch to it.
Benchmarking is important
How do you find the massive amounts of kit you have? Is it just RUclips and woodworking? Or family? Or what?
Would you please get a haircut?
Also cut your hair, you look like James Mays son
