I think people like you made it possible for people to realise most Nigerians are actually brilliant, positive notwithstanding the idiots that spoil our names hence multiple countries shut the door on us. Shine bright like a diamond bro.
YES 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's very true, I have learned a lot from them here in SA and through the internet.
Couldn't agree more.
Indeed...connecting from Kampala-UGANDA, East Africa 🎉🎉
I even saw the brilliance in the “Nigerian Prince” scammers😂. It actually takes an intelligent and strategic mind to separate a person from their money.✨
I wish I could share my passport with you.
I have the second highest ranked passport.
I am glad that you atleast found a way around your original passport.
Wish you all the best in life and with your travels.
Love from Sweden.
I’m so sorry that you have to got through the prejudice. It’s amazing because given the crimes against the world you would think my American passport would be the hardest. When my friend traveled to Nigeria a border agent actually told her not to go it’s full of scammers! If you ask me most are just jealous of your immense intelligence and talent in Nigeria. After all it is the most populous African nation. When I first went there at went to the national museum I understood what genius lies there! ❤
Thanks for all the good words about my country
Unfortunately, there are a lot of scammers in places like Lagos. It's no pint denying that and travellers to Nigeria do need to be aware so they take precautions
@@ifeifesi there are scammers everywhere. The worst scammers are colonizers and missionaries. AND if you are not black I don’t care what you say or think about Nigeria.
@@ifeifesi you do realize than any scam involves the intelligence or lack there of person being scammed. And let’s not forget greed. If I send you a hundred then I will give you a million?! Seriously lol
Jealous of scammers 😂
I'm so glad to see this sincere content about traveling with a Nigerian Passport. I have been holding back on traveling to other countries but this just spures me to making concrete plans to leave my comfort zone and take a plunge. Will be visiting other countries every very soon and making content as I go along. Thanks brother T.

I am so glad you started travelling and shooting your experiences as an African. You give a unique perspective, because 95% of travel videos are of people of a certain race and privilege. Wish you more safe travels and looking to do a bit of what you do in future. Cheers boss !!

In fact, we should start by exploring our own countries, you will be surprised how many beautiful spots you haven't visited in your own country!

As someone who will be travelling a lot in 2024 by God's Grace, this was a very insightful video. Thank you so much for sharing Tayo.
Kenya currently removing Visa requirements with African countries
I'm hopeful but we'll only believe it when I see it

at the end of this video you said something that i can really relate to, i recently travelled to kumasi from accra where i was assaulted i naively partake in a game where i was told it was gambling at the end my phone was taken from me my iphone 14 pro max which i use in shooting my videos and taking photo content i tired to drag with thme cuase i know how much it cost to get the phone in the process i got assaulted with injuries all over my body i went to the police but because i'm a nigerian they kept postponing me fast forward to today i have been depressed and having anxiety to shoot a video to post my old videos on youtube ,your video inspired me, I'm going start posting again hope you dn't mind if i tag you .. sometimes it's good to speak up you really don't know who you will be inspiring ❤❤
Never give up on your dream, I do understand your anxiety🤎! I bought a new phone Also for a Ghanaian he was also assaulted, and the police did nothing (they took the complain that's it). They are useless.
I’m so sorry that happened to you
Wow. Sorry about your horrible expereince. Im glad this video inspired you to make more videos. Looking forward to your videos!
I think it depends and probably luck. My younger sister lives in Nigeria and had ONLY travelled to ONE State in Nigeria by road 🙂. She renewed her Nigerian Passport after so so so many years by bugging her to get on with things. I invited her to the UK last year, I paid and completed and applied for her VISA and she was given multiple entry visa for the very first time.
Tayo aina content are so educative , it has to be displayed in National geographic channel ❤

Or we can organize our own.. probably a good bit of money in it. To have a platform where multiple Afrikan travel vloggers collaborate. Just a proposal though 😊
@@Your_Brother_Jon Good idea 💡
This was an informative video. Thanks Tayo! I just saw you made a mistake. The country you pointed out travelling from South Africa is Zimbabwe not Botswana🙈🙈
The shock when I saw that 😅
Oh really. My bad, Probably an editing mistake.I love all the countries!
Thanks for the video Tayo. I wish this came 21 years ago when i started travelling, especially when you talked about tourist traps. There are similarities in our journeys too with my worst travel experiences coming from within the continent. Outside of it, nobody really looks down on the passport so long as you have no bad intentions and have answers to all the questions that may be asked at border control. I think i have done 43 countries now and counting. Happy travelling guys!
You are the G.O.A.T of Travels and Adventures!!!
Wow😢❤
What passport are you using?
Changing the world mindset about Nigerians make me love your content the more, Thanks for not giving up.
It's a shame that there's people who have strong visas in their country but never get to travel the world. Getting your experience as a Nigerian citizen has really opened my eyes to the world of travelling. This is now my priority, thanks!
The last part of the video shows the current reality of traveling with a Nigerian passport: denials and maltreatment.
I started the traveling adventure since last year with a tour of Africa. Some of the things I learnt:
/ Travel with 2- and 3- pin electric adaptors. You will save money renting ones wherever you are
/ Security: check travel advisory for the country and read-up about where you travel to.
/ Learn some basic language of the target country. It helps integration.
/ Staying among locals vs staying in hotels. The former affords you direct contact and helps you learn more.
I feel bad for genuine tourists from countries such as Nigeria and India, as it's very hard for them to get visas due to extremely high rates of citizens from those countries breaching their visa conditions (working illegally on a tourist visa, overstaying etc). It was mentioned in this video, but the best way to get a visa if you have a difficult passport is definitely to build up a compliant travel history with countries that are a bit easier to travel to. Show that you have a history of being a genuine tourist and sticking to your visa conditions, and never lie at a visa interview.
Tla
If you are black I’d be truly disturbed. Your post is full of ignorance. The planet doesn’t belong to you. The first people to overstay their welcome weren’t from India. And surely aren’t from the continent. We will not starve and suffer because of the west crimes against humanity. Your snide entitled comment is soooo enraging. I love to have these convos in person. You should try it.
And what fools liked this BS. It’s like you all are obsessed with us. It’s weird. Please more come to amerikkka! Marry Ana American and STAY! We need you because the filthy yurugu is busy smoking drugs and living on the street.
Tayo I totally agree with you, when we traveling:
-learn the basic Hello ,how are you? In the local language(Google & YT are ur friends).
-book affordable but comfortable accommodation in safe locations.
-youdon't have to eat in hotels/fast food joints. We might try one meal to compare, lol.
- research ,research & more research on places we want to visit.
- we save money in advance.
- we have a budget that we stick to.
-"touristy" places are not always the best places to visit & they are often over priced, especially in peak season.
-avoid going to places that are currently trending cos they are over crowded & over priced.
And lastly our people (Africans) are generous ,helpful & a welcoming beautiful group of humans,we have been offered accommodation, food, tours, transport totally free. Been invited to weddings & parties (hello home cooked & free meals😂).
Lastly when going into a country/city/town/village that's a different culture to yours,be open minded & never forget your humanity.
Happy travels my African bros, sistas, cousins & friends.
Asante sana❤
Thank you for this. So spot on ❤
Very Insightful tips!! Im learning from you. Thanks
Much respect to you. While living in China, I spoke to many Nigerians and learned that traveling with their visa wasn't easy. You have a great channel.

Wow, lovely and packed vlog. I enjoyed it! Its sad that you have experienced unpleasant travel challenges though. Perhaps this is because of profiling of Nigerian men? I'm Nigerian and female, and I've been to lovely countries in North, South, East and West Africa, my travelling has been very eye opening for me. I've also been to several countries in Europe and the Middle East, entering many countries multiple times. I've experienced delays but never due to being profiled or because I'm Nigerian its been mostly due to staff being overwhelmed with the crowd they have to deal with but never due to negative profiling or stereotyping. I've really enjoyed my green passport, I must say!
I agree with you that going to African countries helps get access to other countries, so folks that want to experience international travel should start there. I'd recommend that if it is possible to lean on work opportunities or to get supporting documentation from your office, please take advantage.
I'd say things that help are having all documentation on hand - especially vacccination documentation, information on accommodation, and being confident to speak on your purpose while in the country if asked by the border patrol officials. I once got held back in Nairobi because my Yellow Fever vaccination card did not have the expiration date for the vaccine. I had to wait almost an hour, and after a while, I was allowed to enter the country. I got back home and went to the MoH. The lady at the ofice said the vaccine is mostly administered once in a lifetime so any health official shouldn't ask, but they'd usually have a 10 year expiration on the card, who knows why I was stopped? But I was calm and cooperative with the officials.
Being polite and waiting your turn also helps, dressing in a neat way, and toning down on what may be considered to be loud or aggressive behaviour is essential. This is especially true when travelling in groups as Nigerians tend to enjoy their own company, bantering, making jokes, and having a nice time, usually with raised voices. I'm not saying to pretend to be someone else, but considering that you need help, support or information from the official or individual in the host country, going with our Nigerian charm and grace makes it easier. We often tend to want things done quickly as Nigerians and may be perceived as forceful, aggressive, or brash. It comes with the territory, there are so many of us and sometimes we have to 'buga' to make things happen in Nigeria, but that is not the norm in most other countries I have visited so calming down is wise.
Another tip is that with a valid UK or American visa that has been used before, Nigerians can get into a lot of North African countries with visas on arrival or evisa options. I've used this for visiting Egypt (visa on arrival) and Morrocco (evisa).
My final contribution is on cheaper flights and accommodation. For flights, I'd recommend using the travel comparators so sites like Expedia, Sky Scanner, etc, they often give cheaper flights. Also, subscribe to alerts on price drops and sales. The only challenge is that these are usually during off-season, like May and November, and not a good time for families that have kids in school. I once got a trip to the UK for 3 people at a little less than 700k in 2019 on Emirates using the comparison websites. For accommodation (and visas) I've had friends write invitation letters on my behalf and offer me accommodation. Online renting services like Airbnb and booking.com give the option to really shop around and get affordable places, one time i travelled to Scotland and was looking for affordabke accommodation outside Edinburgh, I selected a small town and found that it had an underground aquarium and one of the UNESCO world heritage sites. Imagine that! My trip wasn't only focused on touring Edingurgh, but we had a really nice time in North Queensferry, which was also the ancestral hometown of Andrew Carnegie - the famous industrialist and philanthropist. We visited the museum dedicated to him. I now look for these travel attractions and try to visit other towns with local or cheaper transportation. For instance a visit to England doesn't have to be only to London, using the train or bus, the visit can be extended to Liverpool, Leads, York and Manchester as a nice exploration of Northern England or one could consider touring Bristol, Bath, Stonehenge, Oxford and Cambridge which have really lovely places to visit. There are also really affordable travel airlines in Europe and America including crossing from North America to Canada, and so long as you have a schengen visa you can tour as many countries as you can afford within the period of your visa validity. So I'd encourage people to utilise the public lockers for storing suitcases and hop on a cheap flight with just handluggage or a back pack. I did this and travelled from Denmark to Paris to have a swell time! Similarly Nigerians that have japa'd to Canada can take advantage to get an American Visa and travel extensively.
I've written a lot! Whew!!!! I'd love the opportunity to explore Asia and South America! Safe travels in your journey around the world, maybe our travel itienaries would sync one day and I'd get the chance to meet you Tayo!
You really broke it down for all of us and I learnt a lot by reading through to the end. This should be posted on a travel blog somewhere. Thanks for sharing🤗

It's sad how we Africans treat each other. I understand the history behind it, but it's not right that people from outside Africa, sometimes from countries that colonized us, find it easier to move around here than we do. This isn't new; it's been a problem for a long time, and some African countries are even making it worse. We have to do better.
Tayo, no matter what they say, this is your continent, and you're loved here. Sometimes, those closest to us can hurt us the most. But keep your head up and enjoy exploring your continent.
From a fellow African 😊
Africa is full of terrorism and militia groups so we can have them to just travel around freely
that's why it's important the government parties work together. Think EU, the ECOWAS needs to be adopted by more African countries
Fix Nigeria first and stop blaming us Africans fro the mess you and the politicians you elect cause. Nigeria is simply one country almost all African countries outside of West Africa are not interested in having their citizens.

@@BoskiM Thanks.
Thats what I've been doing lately.
I have travelled to 18 countries only and I totally agree with everything you’ve said. Start with the easy, less expensive places and build your experience. Learn to travel during off peak seasons - it costs so much less. Hotels and flights are more than half the price. Plan your trips early and buy tickets 4 to 6months in advance. You will get ridiculously cheaper rates as compared to buying them one month or 2 weeks in advance. Live within your means. Traveling to see the world is different from traveling to show off. The former is cheaper and has more value. Those are my tips. Thanks for these amazing videos Tayo. I hope I can start vlogging my trips soon.❤
The red is where you need to get a visa before you can gain entry - not necessarily that you can not go there.
Exactly, most of them in red
It is my pleasure to meet you!💕😍🌹
Thanks for this video. I have learned a lot and I am ready to do some traveling. I am Jamaican living in Nigeria 🇳🇬 and i believe the Jamaican passport is also one of the hardest passports but when you travel to places and return home i think that really helps your chances of traveling to more places. The visa people see you love your country and want to return as sometimes they fear letting you into their country because of illegal immigration Japa (runwhey)...😂
There is nothing wrong with the Jamaican passport. And Jamaicans don't have problems getting a visa if they can show they have a job and coming back after their trip abroad. Sometimes people have nothing in Jamaica going on for them and they end up getting the visa. I don't think your travel history (unless you've travelled to highly developed countries) has anything to do with it. You have to show, to the satisfaction of the consular officer, that you have enough ties to your home country and that you have the ability to pay for you trip. Even so, for some nationals, like Nigerians, even when they present everything, they usually get denied, unfortunately.
❤❤
@@jamdawgutube The Jamaican passport ranks 59th amongst passports in the world!!!! Yet there is nothing wrong with the Jamaican passport? Oh please check your facts. Who told you that Jamaicans don't have a problem getting visas? Please check your facts!!! Many Jamaicans are turned down at the US and Canadian embassies every year.. As well, there are many countries where Jamaicans are not allowed because of the high crime rate in Jamaica which works against us on the world stage too.
Jamaican passport not too bad. We can access about half the world pretty easily. Most Jamaicans just think our passport is horrible b/c they think travelling the world is going to the UK, US, or Canada
Iam a Jamaican/ Nigerian . With Jamaican passport you can travel to 87 countries without visa.
APC has done Nigeria 🇳🇬 evil 💔🇳🇬
It's so hard to apply with the green passport. I hope our image as a people improves, also I hope the bad eggs would stop labeling us all.
It's never going to stop till Nigerians stop washing their dirty linens in public.
People won't respect Nigerians till we learn how to respect ourselves. I have seen worse behaviour from other countries citizens but you won't see their bloggers on social media trashing their country's image.
Nigerians are REALLY CARRYING LAST.
We need more videos like this. Thank you . Tayo
More coming soon! 😁
Tayo please connect me or link me I wish to travel like this with you.
I have traveled to 24 countries, including leaving and working in Germany for 6 years. I went to Italy, Belgium, France, Czech Republic, Australia, Turkey, and many other African countries, including South Africa. When I applied for the US visa in January of 2023, I was asked if I had ever traveled out of Cameroon, I said yes and gave the visa officer my passport. She flipped the passport back and forth and asked me why I traveled so much. I told her I'm a researcher, so I traveled to different countries for work. She looked at me and said, "Sorry, we can not give you a visa at this time.
I guess the moral of the story is that, when it comes to a US visa, it's all boiled down to LUCK!!
The problem is,the USA still uses face to face interviews, whether they admit or or not,it still rides on biases and opinions,I guarantee if your application was strictly document processing with talking ,90%,you would've gotten it.I'm Cameroonian too, etasien Dem fo dier mind,na heaven🤣🤣🤣,but na small heaven
You should not have have said that you travel for work. She probably thought you were coming to the US to work on your visitor visa
I'm blessed to have both a U.S. and Jamaican passport. The only country that requires a visa for me (so far), regardless of which passport I'm using, is Nigeria. But Nigeria is worth it. Currently here for the second time 😊
