Soooo glad i didn't go for a second hand yamaha VL1-m, SWAM instruments are leagues ahead. This is the definitive acoustic modelling synthesis we've been dreaming of !
Oh yeah! Now I want to hear Grim Fandango's soundtrack with this beauty!
Yeah!!
the best demo!
wahh waaah wahh wahhhhh, that was so funny. Great plugin, so tempted to get the full SWAM bundle !
Thank you very much for a deeper presentation of Swam trumpet. I'm counting down days when it's gona be available for iOS which is probably in March we were told.
It's available! I've been playing it all morning. It somehow sounds more realistic first hand.
@@Daring2Win for ios?
Wow its awesome!!! Thanks a lot for this demo!! Good idea to put Growl on Aftertouch!
Is that a Roland sh1000 back there? That was my first synth ever!
I’d love to see you demo the sax model

Amazing demos. From you and the product it self. TOY? This is not a toy, Roland,Yamaha and the others are toys. 'Sample Modeling' is the pure intelligence and conception of our occident working. The 'Asiatic tigers' even started trying it, they will try it in the future. I assure everyone, that in the future, we will play out dozens of millions of gigabytes of pianos, orchestral packs into the trash, and substitute for some simple megabytes of other packs.
I think we´ll have a mix of texture of Sample Modeling with some partials of a real Steinway&Sons, Bösendorfer, Beckstein, Faziolli, Baldwin etc, to add the pure caracteristics to the modeling, and all this together will have just a few 50 Megabytes. Once upon a time we had crank-cars, today we have cheap cars that cross countries,
one day we crossed continents by dangerous boats, today we go by plane. One day, our ancestros ate well on this world, today we eat fast foods and some think that bistros are good places to eat. But in music the future is Audio Modeling.
Thanks Manfredo! Just a clarification: you mentioned "sample modeling". In SWAM Solo Brass (and in Solo Strings as well) there are not samples! Everything is computed in realtime by complex math models. Best!
I wonder if you will eventually make add ons with different trumpet brands (Conn, Yamaha, Bach etc..)
txdap we make math models, not emulation of specific brands. Our instruments offer plenty of parameters that can be tweaked to obtain almost any model and playing style
Will they have a sale price for any holidays coming up?
I am a BIG fan of all the libraries I have so far. Only the flutes and double reeds and then I have the collection complete.
A downside is that it takes a LOT of DSP power... especially when you do big band, strings stuff or - even worse - both! 😉 But I really hope you will address that in future updates.
Meanwhile I really enjoy the effort you guys put in this! Keep up the good work!! 💪🏾✊🏾😃
it's not so much a problem! Just a dilemma: use too much RAM, or too much CPU ?
If you program them, you can also just bounce them, and since you don't have to reload 5GB into your memory if you want to put it back and do some changes, you can just bring back your patch and rebounce after a few changes. Personally, i find it groundbreaking, the best way.

Sorry for my english, but the velocity controller what reaction make and how it controlled, and how changue play style, legato,Stacatto etc?I need a manual 😂,this soft have a lot of options over Sample modeling, great stuff.
Hi Nestor Alonso! User Manual is available at audiomodeling.com/manuals . Note-on velocity controls Staccato attack strength for detached notes, and controls portamento time for connected, i.e. legato, notes.
Can I get this if I don’t have a breath controller? I’ve never used one so I don’t know how much it impacts things. I have a midi controller with a bunch of knobs so hopefully that’ll be good enough?
Of course, you can control SWAM with any MIDI controller equipped with at least a couple of continuous controllers (i.e. knobs, sliders, pedals, ribbons, ...): one for Expression and one for Vibrato, plus Pitch-Bend
@@AudioModeling oh wow thanks for the fast reply. I'm definitely going to get the trumpet once I decide which platform I'm gonna spend my $ on. I'd totally pay more for this if I could buy once and use on pc and mobile
Are there any plans to facilitate Selecting Mutes (Type) from an External Source via MIDI?
What's wrong with Mute selection via MIDI? You can map Mute selection to any MIDI CC, and also remap the values to customize the selection.
@@AudioModeling Thanks, guys! I only saw the "Mute Control" on the GUI as assignable to MIDI. I'll have a look around to see where I missed Mute Selection.
@@AudioModeling I was only looking at the main GUI for the Instrument. I found what you are referring to on the Mapping Table and, after touching the "Mute" label, saw all of the Mute Types. I can now put my idle Korg nanoKontrol2 to use. Thanks for the info.
How many expression dimensions can you control with your breath controller at the same time?
TEControl BBC2 can control up to 4 dimensions at the same time: Breath, Bite, Tilt and Nod.
For more info: www.tecontrol.se/products/usb-midi-breath-bite-controller-2
@@AudioModeling For the trumpet it would be great to also have a sensor for tongue movement.

1:11 Hello! Can you post which CC's you have assigned to your TEC controler, please? Breath = Expression, Volume = synth wheel ? do you assign the pressure bite to anything? and also nod & tilt ? -is there anything special you set in the Tecontrol interface? thank you very much. I'm a bit confused as to what controlling parameters i should assign my tec controler with the SWAM, there are way too many things.
I have only assigned the Breath Controller to the Expressivity, using the technique showed on this video. All the other bc features like nod and tilt were not assigned. Vibrato on the mod wheel, flutter and growl to the after touch. That's it :)
Hi, on the Controller Mapping Summary Pages there are quick reset presets
to map immediately a BC or other common controllers.
Can you post a link to the breath controller you’re using

We trumpet players might have to hunt you guys down, holy smokes 😮😮😂😮
Satish Robertson why? We can duet! 😉😄
@@AudioModeling can you imagine what an amazing show that would make?
@@satishrobertson8771 someone did it with a SWAM Violin in duet with a real Violin ;-) ruclips.net/video/Y-v9rTe6iXk/видео.html
@@gulagospheremfg that makes sense.
QUE MARCA DE CONTROLADOR ES COMPATIBLE CON ÉL VST PARA QUE TENGA ESE EFECTO REALISTA
Any MIDI controller that is equipped with some wheels, knob or sliders, and a connection for an Expression pedal.
Additionally, AfterTouch control can be really effective.
I wish the TEC control Breath Controller was sold and shipped in the USA. I wish I didn't have to order and have it shipped from over seas.
I felt the same way, but it was totally painless and I've never regretted it. In fact, an issue arose with mine and I wound up shipping it BACK over there, and that was painless too.
@@CHayden07 so whatever issue you had, they replaced it no problem?
DarrinNoNAME They did! The bite sensor had gone bad; they even sent it back with some extra mouth pieces. It’s really really cool, I love that thing.
@@CHayden07 thanks for sharing. I really appreciate it. How long ago did you get yours?
DarrinNoNAME Anytime! Must have been almost 4 years ago now. I saw a demo of someone using an NI Reaktor instrument called Silverwood that physically modeled woodwinds and some brass. If you Google Reaktor User Library and search for Chet Singer, you’ll find a number of physical modeling instruments from that guy, they are brilliant.
Will the VST work without the breath controller?
Of course! Have a look at this video: ruclips.net/video/o7_O_HqPIJ4/видео.html
How much does this total setup cost?
TLDR: My full setup cost $770, or an even $1k if you count the guitar controller. I am still waiting on the woodwinds to release on iPad which will probably set me back another couple hundred. That price doesn’t include the iPad Pro as I already owned it.
Below is a breakdown on what I have and what it cost.
For the trumpet pack on PC it’s $250 but you get 5 instruments. Flugelhorns, etc. On iPad the same pack of 5 costs $120, but last month was on sale for $85
For all instruments on PC, it would set you back $1100. I’m still waiting on the woodwinds for iPad which should be coming soon, but at full price it would be roughly half the cost for iPad over PC. Less if you wait for a sale.
The TEC controller he uses also works with iPad and the SWAM apps and absolutely takes them to the next level, making them nearly indistinguishable from real instruments (I played violin for 20+ years and 5 in a symphony, so I’ve heard thousands of hours of these instruments in rehearsal, and SWAM blows me away.) The TEC controller cost me $330 including shipping.
As for the keyboard, I got the Arturia MiniLab MKII for $120. It’s the little brother of his keyboard which I believe costs around $500. Another interesting option is a midi guitar. I managed to find an open box You Rock guitar online. Sadly the company appears to be out of business for several years, but it’s a powerful midi controller and synth, and I love it.
As far as composition software on iPad, there are several DAWs. I have Cubasis 3.3 which was $50, but it seems like garage band, the free app from apple is the easiest to get started in. You can use the SWAM instruments directly using inter app audio.
I love it and I really want to buy it, so I hope I can get a latin kind of sound from it.
Yes you can shpe your own sound, moving the different parameters!
Have this Articulation like Fall etc.
Of course: Fall and Doit, both with controllable speed. Take into account that ours are modeled instruments, you can control almost any aspect of the playing techniques
What is the device you are blowing called?
It' a breath controller from www.tecontrol.se/
Having big probs with the TECONTROL and Cubase 10.5 (under Win7 64). The breath controller works on his own (connect to the little config app, i can configure it, and then i hit "make permanent" also). But f**ing nothing passes to Cubase.
Midi channels are set ok, the config panel of Cubase is ok (active and "show in all midi"), no "direct something" active. The breath controller is in the menu of the midi controllers of the track. Even creating a midi track with only the breath controller as input... just for testing if i can record midi CC... i record nothing! and the midi input meter show... f***ing nothing!
I have SWAM saxes and clarinets... and tons of other libraries and VSTs compatible with the breath controller... and i still can't get a f***ng note!!!
My other controller in this setup are a Krog microKey and a Korg mikroKey Air... both on USB.
Can't find any resource on line... if someone has some idea... plz... help!
The demos are great, but it's exceeding my expectations so far. Unfortunately, my DAW hasn't recognized it yet! Ugh.
Hi banjo pariah, what OS / DAW do you have?
@@AudioModeling Hi, I'm using Windows 10/ Reason 10
@@AudioModeling I figured it out: the .dll files were sent to a different VST folder (i.e., VST (C:\) than the usual, so I had to move them to the existing folder which is in Program Files... or I could have simply added that new folder to my VST search in Reason... Any who, It's fixed! Thanks for your concern. Hopefully this post helps someone else!
@@Daring2Win during the installation it is asked the path for the VST and VST3 plugins
Right, but usually plug-ins on my system automatically install into my Vstplug-ins folder, so I didn't pay attention during installation. But, it all worked out!
como hago para tocar 2 notas al mismo tiempo?
Hi Juank, SWAM Solo Brass are solo instruments, they are monophonic.
Update: I select the desired mute in the assignment page, select “learn” & press the controller button. When I press the controller button, it will cycle between “no mute” and “hand mute” ONLY. It will not open the mute tha I selected.
You are sending just two values: 0 and 127, so it selects the first and the last mute. You need a continuous controller. Send 0 to 25 for the first mute (no mute), 26 to 50 for the sencond mute, and so on.
Or you can apply a remapping curve to select a given mute. Read the User Manual on how to apply a remapping curve to a parameter mapping
Fantastic! You made my day! I had the Trumpet (and Euphonium) dialed in, but wanted an easier way to select muted in Camelot Pro (besides assigning the Trumpet with a mute to a Scene, which causes a hiccup in the PDF attachment). Thank you very much!
excellent stuff...yamaha dropped the ball abandoning the technology...apple did almost nothing with 'sculptuer' for Logic pro X
If you can give free dawnload link
1 there is always.... do you work for free?
I wish it has like a fall or something
@@falolagabriel2201 yes, fall down and Doit articulations are available via keyswitches
It sounds very very good, but the vibrato kills the realistic sound.
This sounds amazing but I do not have that kind of money 🤣
Aw, they had a super deep sale for like a month! Totally worth the cash for the sections you can create!

Se escucha feo
I guess there's no way to play chords huh? That kinda stinks
The product name is "Solo" Brass, so they model a single instrument.
If you want to play polyphonically, you can do it through Divisimate, check this out: ruclips.net/video/2gPgyAh8WCE/видео.html
You shouldn't get into this...:) Better for you to continue with digital
