I seriously think pepple in hasbro forgot even in G1 there was some curvy appeal in females and you ABSOLUTELY can apply some of that to Knockout. Hell its in his name. Hes supposed to be a knockout and in his design parts of his car form a boa scarf and that made his silhouette. Not even TF Prime ignored the rules of silhouettes and iconic imagery.
Thats what I’m sayin, like I get why they did what they did, but its as if they looked at him and said “good enough” when clearly he’s missing most of Knockout’s design cues
@@HerohammerStudios honestly, I wish Hasbro would've gone with making the Ark transform into Omega Supreme, like Animated did. However, the Spacebridge design from Animated appears in the Legacy Evolution poster (look near the top left corner), so it seems almost guaranteed that we'll be seeing some Animated characters appearing in the line soon.
I wouldnt even be opposed to redesigns had they actually did more tham just G1-ify. They made Arcee a femboy and barely even looks like her, Bulkhead in comparison is a fresco painting and Knockout... kinda just falls flat in robit mode.
Imo G1 designs are being overused it's getting too boring, why can't we try out new things without having the fear of those characters being "unrecognizable" Look at TFP or Cyberverse, they had new designs instead of making them look like it's ripped from G1, Atleast they were recognizable instead of the Bayformers movies, Even the new EarthSpark series doesn't go full on G1 with the designs but try out something different G1 Designs only work if it's supposed to be a throwback or for the sake of nostalgia but if they're gonna keep using G1 designs in almost every transformers media it's just boring overall
Regarding animated the designers have confirmed that they would get the same treatment like the prime stuff. However they did also state that they’ve heard the feedback from the prime figures and that every figure going forward is going to have a better balance between original style and g1ification.
But why tho? They know fans of those series want accurate characters, and they seem to be doing amazing with Armada, so why do Prime and Animated get shafted? You can't tell me Prime is "hard to make into figures" when the Bayverse exists and they've been killing it with those. As for animated, like Armada its a case where the designs really aren't that hard to translate to modern figures. Bumblebee for example. Chest = car roof, arms = car doors, shoulders = back wheels, feet = front of the car and front wheels. That really shouldn't be difficult for them to accurately translate it from show to figure. I don't want "Animated if G1", I want "Animated as fucking Animated."
@@TheDaxter11 They want to use the prime molds for repaints and retools since animation accurate prime figs require a lot of effort compared to most other shows. And I don’t know if they’re doing this because that they have a tight budget or that they just don’t wanna go through the hard effort. And the only reason animated is going to get the same treatment is because it’s so styilized to the point where if they were accurate their whole “unified astatic excuse” would just fall apart.
Just scrap the g1ification all together, it just pisses people off when everything else looks like it's supposed to not to mention g1 is literally everywhere

So fresh to hear someone finally speaking my thoughts! Agree. With. Everything! Since APC Toys handled Airachnid so beautifully, I'm hoping they'll tackle Knockout in the future. Great video by-the-way!

Also, I am now going to go watch your RED Knockout review, so this is happening now. I have returned in sorrow, I cannot find the beautiful video that I know it was. Now to go see what that Blitzwing thumbnail is about.
The scrapped concept art for Cyberverse looks more like a G1 version of Knockout than the toy that's supposed to be a G1 version of Knockout. And I've said it multiple times, but this is more Shattered Glass Jazz with Terrorsaur's head than it is Knockout, because it's literally what he looks like, at least in my eyes.
I just find it weird that Knockout got this much budget into retooling him from SS86 Jazz of all figures, but they couldn’t seem to do the same work with Breakdown. Knockout’s bear needs love too y’know
Did you ever see that fake rumor that Menasor was supposed to be a multiverse Menasor with Prime Breakdown in him? That woulda been cool if it were real
@@Gei4Mei haven’t heard that, though that logic can be applied to combiner wars (G1 breakdown, Unicron Motormaster, Bayverse Deadend, Animated Dragstrip, Prime Off-road), at least going off Lazyeyebrow’s theory.
Well, Legacy KO design is not actually based on Prime Universe, but he was based on the idw 2019 comics which actually inspired by Prime design in G1 style to fit in the comic universe aesthetic. So he's not really a "Prime universe KO" but he's more like "IDW '19 Universe KO".
Yeah I remember seeing the design for the first time in the comic, I would’ve thought that the comic design would be based off of the upcoming toy design 🤔
Why'd they call it Prime Knockout then? To me it just sounds like false advertising But wait does that means there's a (slight) chance we'll get an actual Prime Knockout? Probably not...
The robot mode isn't too great in being Knock Out...but I argue, as someone who has the Bloody Knockout figure, the Bluestreak-decoed Beast Hunters figure, he's definitely the much better toy. Like, yeah, the older mold looks more like Knock Out, even in the Bluestreak-esque colors, but he wasn't very fun to handle, as a figure or a Transformer. Legacy is just more tactile as a toy, and I think that's why I don't mind his G1-ness AS much. If nothing else, it was a way for me to experience the SS86 Jazz mold, since, unless they make a Buzzworthy version with more of the tampos that Toyhax had to fix, and the supposedly stronger clear plastic of Legacy, I picked getting United Jazz over. I will say this: the subtle raised detail of the bonnet does slightly harken back to his raised shoulder detail, so that's honestly what won me over. The comic's simpler detailing did NOT do the mold's design justice.
It amazes me how well they've been able to pull off changes to the Beast Wars characters while honoring the original designs, but have failed so badly with the Prime characters.
🤔Come to think of it, all the Prime figures also have to share molds several times. Maybe they're just getting less priority to their characters and are suffering from it. Knockout is a retool, Bulkhead rumored to be a pretool, and Arcee was a pretool for multiple other characters.
If the WFC figures are put into studio series, i can 100 % say they wont botch the designs like they did with Prime. To be honest, who REALLY wanted G1ified prime figures?? Most likely on the shelf they'll be put with other figures from Prime, and if you want multiple optimuses together isn't it more visually appealing to have them look different to contrast with eachother? Like who really looks at the Legacy Arcee and says "that's a great design that i'm excited to pose along with my other G1 figures"?. The First edition Prime figures are hard to come by now so I was excited to get modern versions with modern tech but what we got was something that no one wanted, and were just glorified pre-tools for more G1 characters.
I really am torn on this figure, on one hand I really like having a figure of knockout, but this mold was already problematic with Jazz via the clear roof and the knees with tabs too small to work, I find myself thinking conceptually it worked better than in practice, and it upsets me that I really can't bring myself to say he's a great figure, he really just feels like a red car dude with knockouts helmet and nametag
Tbh, I think that Bulkhead and Knockout are both great designs for Bulkhead and Knockout, and I'm definitely going to buy both of them once I get the chance, but I heavily agree with the idea that they're bad at being Prime Bulkhead and Knockout specifically. That said, all of the criticisms were very fair, great review Also legacy animated can't come soon enough, I desperately need a TFA Blackarachnia figure
@@Gei4Mei honestly I think the animated figures are going to be great. The designs are already pretty damn G1, and they won't have to worry too much about emulating the art style. I'm also just sort of a sucker for seeing character designs done in different art styles
I'd like to see how they pull off Lugnut. I'd buy that Lugnut because I have Starscream (SS86) and Blitzwing (Legacy), so all I need is Lugnut and you can probably guess what I'd do
I more or less feel the same way. Yes it's dope to see Knockout again, and yes he looks good as always. But goddamn why did he have to be the ONE Prime character that got retooled from a G1 figure?! WHY?!?! Oh yea nice video
Considering that later legacy armada trilogy figures like override, starscream, hot shot, definitely nail their respective aesthetics I'm certain that they learned that we want figures that 'feel' like their characters. I'm not to terribly upset over the prime legacy figures, seeing as that Legacy's whole deal is to include as many characters as possible with all the molds they have. I'll still get Knockout mostly because I plan on getting legacy Breakdown because I'm BDKO trash lol. And Knockout is always good looking no matter universe he's in.
@@Gei4Mei they can do some minor things. They could paint and sculpt his forearm to look like windows, sculpt his shoulder to have spikes on them and maybe give him triangular-shaped feet instead of the flat ones Sideswipe has. The only reason the Sideswipe mold is better than the jazz mold is the chest. I always thought the most distinct thing about Knockout is that his chest is the car hood. Maybe remold the chest to be more rounded instead of the squared-off look. If I had both figures (only have Sideswope atm), I would try to change their heads. I bet Knockouts head would look better on the Sideswip body.
I wonder if they ever considered that when they were designing him, but the notes from Mark seemed to suggest that they were always set on making him look like jazz
I think they’re supposed to just be inspired by Prime and Arcee happens to look very similar as it’s kind of unavoidable. However, The Unicron Trilogy figures are totally unaltered, only Prime’s figures are different than the on screen. Although I still love these adaptations a lot
It would be better if they just said he was a new G1 version of Prime Knockout. It makes sense that he can have a parallel version in another reality. Same with Bulkhead, Breakdown, etc.
Much of the points here are very justified in that g1 has indeed become a plague but I feel we’re ignoring another issue. Most of these designs do not translate well to toy form. Specifically bayverse and prime If you go one of the “transformations” you can see that it’s basically a perfect example of jhobby’s mp44. You introduce the chaos and then you fix the chaos there’s no transformation there. Even the bayverse with its widely praised transformation is still pulling out garbage like hatchet because of how unworkable it was. Doesn’t excuse g1ification because legacy prowl exist but i’d be lying if it wasn’t understandable at worst
I still feel so conflicted on this guy. Like he’s a FUN figure but at the same time, his body type doesn’t really….exactly fit? Like it’s not terrible, but something is just funky. I do dig the adjustments done to the Jazz mold though. I just stick the buzzsaw attachment from tarantulas tbh, the spear is just a bit too funky.
If they’re doing Studio Series Versions of the FoC/WfC Game characters, they should do Studio Series versions of Transformers Shows, like Animated, PRIME, and some others
Honestly I’m scared to see how badly Skyquake has been bastardized. Bulkhead was tolerable, but Arcee and Knockout aren’t doing it for me, and none of them look even remotely like their original designs. I can only hope that the reason Hasbro is choosing to “stylize” the Prime characters now is because there are plans to do accurate updates sometime in the future.
I keep hoping a 3P company will make an upgrade kit that gives him his wheel-wings, AT LEAST. The 5mm port on his back is a little low, but I think it would greatly improve his sillhouette.
Huh. I didn't know Knockout was an SS86 Jazz retool. That's.. Actually kinda neat. But yeah the car mode is fine for what it is, but at the expense of a rather disappointing robot mode. I have nothing against this toy, I just wish they gave him more flare (that being said I can excuse legacy knockout for being "disappointing" imo, since it looks like Evolution Lio convoy and the armada chars are a step in the right direction in terms of aesthetic).
Was tempted to get him to fill out my cons and because of that vehicle mode. Luckily i didn’t pay a cent for him. Got him as a complimentary replacement figure from Hasbro support
True that some new shoulders would've made him look more like the character :s Funny thing, they made his shoulders gray instead of red, the Prime toy made the same mistake
Trying to make Prime character look like G1 characters is such a stupid idea to begin with. Fans of Prime like the Prime looks and esthetics, not the G1 look. It honestly feels like Legacy was designed so that they could sell Prime characters to G1 fans since that is the largest base, but it ultimately destroys the look and feel of the Prime characters. I was so excited when I heard they were going to be making Prime Transformers again. I was through the moon. But then they showed what they would look like and I realized this line is not for Prime fans at all and my heart sank.
@@Gei4Mei I just do not get it. The Beast Wars line showed there was still massive interest in a line that was not Gen 1. Prime was a fairly popular show with a ton of fans that are now grown up and making money. They are a huge market to tap into, but no one seems to want to.
Basically, the problem is that they made Prime characters not Prime... imagine if they did the same for G1... geewuners would have torched down Hasbro headquarters by now... if you say you are going to do a character from a very specific iteration (as stated on the very box you sell them in) JUST DO THAT CHARACTER!
Something that I couldn’t find that I needed for context in this one was that I distinctly remember Mark or somebody clarifying that the prime universe name was a marketing decision, and that these were really supposed to be G1 versions of the characters. But I couldn’t find it anywhere and I don’t know if maybe I made that up, so I didn’t include it
I REALLY like these legacy designs because it makes them visually compatible with the most recent mainline CHUG. the prime designs don't work because they have living metal. there's only so close you can get, and the first editions are almost perfect for most of the figures. knockouts design is impossible to transform, and Hasbro released an R.E.D. knockout for prime enthusiasts. for automobile enthusiasts, just keep your classic knockout in alt mode. (EDIT: just heard you mention red, but it's to do with my perspective anyways.) knockouts slicing is a result of him being a retool of jazz. I agree the legacy weapons are problematic. not much to add there except they either need to just make better weapons, or include more modular weapons to actually mix and match like with Red Cog.
I just got Knockout yesterday and he's awesome, I know people don't like the 86 Jazz retool but idk it works in a sense also fun fact about Knockout's voice actor when I first heard his voice in that Prime episode back then in 2010, I was like "Oh shit it's Gordy, from ned's declassified!"
@@Gei4Mei I'd love for Knockout to say this line from Ned's Declassified when one of the kids ask him if one of the girls in their school is hot "I can't answer that due to the fact that I'm 40"
I personally think that Hasbro should just stop doing legacy prime figures. It's clear they don't want to appeal to anyone but G1 fans, and it's disappointing. I wish they'd just make prime figures already instead of just Prime heads slapped on Blocks.
He comes off as a little fruity, they weren’t overt about it. It wasn’t until the IDW comics where he specifically was in a relationship with Breakdown
Knock Out just looks bad, he lacks literally all the charm and personality he had in TFP. they could have slapped the name of literally any generic carbot onto him and nobody would bat an eye. hell, they could have changed a few colors slightly and made him Rapido and nobody would have cared. I just dont understand what they were trying to do with this thing because its just bad in every aspect. imo, hes easily the worst Legacy figure and I didnt want to be stuck saying that because hes my favorite TFP character
You're definitely not being too harsh. It was for that very same reason that I waited so long to pick up Knockout. I bought Skyquake and Dreadwing and spiraled because I wanted more Prime Cons. All in all I wouldn't blame anyone for getting the figure because he does look pretty cool but I totally understand if any Prime fans pass on it
If I'm honest, I haven't got much into transformers Prime only because I have no idea where to watch it. So this figure is a pass to me but I understand your reasons. But great job!!! Love the videos like always😣😣😣
Transformers Official YT channel is in the process of uploading episodes currently. They're a little out of order still. Looks like all of season 2, and then parts of seasons 1 and 3 so far. They have all of G1 up for viewing, so I'm sure they'll complete Prime soon enough
With how much respect beast wars, cybertron, and armada got treated with it’s a shame prime isn’t (fingers cross animated doesn’t suffer the same fate)
I think it would be possible to get an animated bulkhead with the legacy bulkhead mode it has the general shape in vehicle mode the front would have to be completely remolded and the riot shield could swapped out for a shovel claw weapon that’s a the back half of animated bulkheads vehicle mode and can be the bits that hang over the shoulders other then that just remold the head and give him claw hands only thing is how to make him more bulky then blocky
@@Gei4Mei I did I personally see legacy bulkhead has a combination of the various incarnations of bulkhead plus aoe hound to make a what if bulkhead was always a g1 figure
I never liked TFP in retrospect, but as an owner of some TFP toys myself the Legacy G1-ifications feel like a slap to the face. They miss the point of design matching the character's personality completely.
I wonder if bulkhead could be retooled and re painted into maybe a rescue bots universe salvage cause rescue bots is getting some love with the chase and medix
the legacy figs had to be the biggest jape for me in all my time collecting/observing tfs, i had been on a hiatus from buying anything so i can snag some tf prime comebacks and then i think these broke the camel's snack
Being exited for Legacy Prime figures only for them to turn out like this feels like that one episode from Spongebob where the customers were expecting to get normal Krabby Patties that they love only to get that disgusting mass produced grey slop instead.
I honestly don’t care about the Prime redesigns, their designs are inspired from the bay movie’s and we could wait for Studio Series figures from the Predacons Rising movie.
@@Doopyhpp uh...we got figures from the 1986 movie which is a animated transformers movie and we're getting SS figure from the cybertron games too. If the only other animated tf film and 2 games can get ss figures I see no reason why predacons rising can't get any figures of it's own.

Legacy evolution....dont get me started on that...but-...I really dont care for evolution though. Maybe only Lio Convoy, but he is white....... so... I am already thinking twice or millions about getting Breakdown stunticon.. I know i sound like a broken record or that i hate hasbro....But my experience this year with hasbro, and seeing the bullcrap MArk Maher posts, actually gets me angry, disappointed, and even thinking i am wasting money on time bomb toys that will yellow after 2 months. War for Cybertron was an awesome journey and sugar rush for me. It was just amazing how it was put together. whether you like the weaponizers, modulators, fossilizers gimmick or not, truth be told, in whole , you had tons of stuff to play around. I will add some of the 86 studio series, which were still fun to play with. I am still trying to get some i really wanted.
Yeah its tough, especially after seeing so many white figures at Pulsecon. Its like they’re either so confident or they haven’t learned their lesson. I don’t wanna say it but I wish something serious would happen that they would be forced to address directly
@@Gei4Mei hey dude. just to give you a hint. A korean guy i think, showed off his Shatered Glass soundwave (which i consider a spit in the face of fans, not re-releasing soundwave earthmode as normal release instead of exclusive, and yellowing issue fixed). His copy of SG Soudnwave has already yellowing parts.
those are Nendoroids, think of them as the thing Funko Pops were made to be chinsy knock-off for; as for the characters the figures are, they're; - Hana Uzaki, titular character of the manga & anime "Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!" (the one with the "Sugoi Dekai" raglan, but I think the hair's from another figure) - Rikka Tarada from SSSS.Gridman (the officially-unofficial Shattered Glass anime because TakaraTOMY and Hasbro are cowards for not letting Trigger make a Transformers anime; Rikka's design is based on SG Megatron) - and Aqua from Konosuba (the blue-haired crybaby) at least those are the ones I recognize
I recently got this one for Christmas (it was in a two pack sold with one of the stunticons). One minor thing I feel like they could’ve done is modify the mold just enough to allow the chest to split down the middle (so that it can be position In a slightly more angler position like in his cartoon appearance) Overall, I don’t hate the toy, it just doesn’t feel like Knockout to me, merely a cheap imitation
I like the car mode a lot, and the transformation looks kinda fun; but the robot mode is uncharacteristically boxy. EDIT: Thinking about it now, I would have preferred it if they gave KO a new mould, or at least retooled him from another figure besides SS'86 Jazz. KO doesn't have Jazz's body; instead the WFC Sideswipe mould (or a watered-down version of SS'86 Hot Rod) would have been cooler IMHO.
Ideally a knew mold, I feel like sometimes they’re more concerned with pushing a character out with a new figure instead of making it “proper”. Given the recent fanstream, it makes more sense why his vehicle mode was given so much effort
My opinion on prime universe is "Man I wish the wheels on prime arcee slotted into her legs like they're supposed to". Like theres probably something to be said by someone else who has watched more shows than I have about the rest of the design changes or the design changing at all but I'd be fine with everything if it weren't for the wheels just kinda dangling there since that's like the opposite of aesthetic lol.
To be fair with Knockout's vehicle mode design here, this ain't no materpiece figure. So, they have to take some sacrifices to make the transformation gimmick work without being priced at like $500 for one figure. And plus, I kinda like the G1 take of the TF Prime characters (mostly Bulkhead because I'd imagine him as that in the G1 cartoon). Only wish the face sculpt was a bit more G1 aesthetic.
I like the vehicle mode, but I'm on the fence with the robot mode. I might wait to see if APC does a Knockout with all his accessories seen in the show, they are going through the Prime Universe quite well. Their Bulkhead is better than Legacy Bulkhead. If the Legacy Bulkhead could part form down the chest/cab, it would be a better figure.
Bulkhead worked incredibly well, different design but felt like he had the prime Bulkhead personnality for sure. Knockout though? He's a great toy, but doesnt feel like Knockout at all. Thr ==e head looks awesome but it's a very VERY different personnaality. Also, unlike Bulk and Arcee, the old Knockout toy wasn't great, so this could have been quite a big deal, but fell very flat on that regards.
@@Gei4Mei Unfortunately I dont know how to 3D Model, I only have a 3D printer. I was curious about it before though so maybe i’ll give it a shot when I have time in the future
My main annoyance has been the branding. Knockout, Arcee and even Bulkhead are good figures. But they're not 'Prime Universe' when they're clearly G1-ified versions, especially in the case of Bulkhead. Less so Arcee. Knockout is in the middle.
Bringing a character from a line that don't match the generations aesthetics isn't new like when animated made a jump to generations with lugnut or the t30 blitzwing. These are more omages to the characters from prime or animated opposed to being direct redos. It's not a new thing they are doing here it is just that the look from prime or animated or rescuebots wouldn't look right lined up next to other generations line figures. I get that and accept that and happy with the omages that we have been given. Idk if they will ever give 1 to 1 redos of those other aesthetics that are so far out of the evergreen designs but who knows. Unicron trilogy, btw, is close to the generations aesthetics which is why they get to look so much closer to accurate.
All I want is Tracks and Knock Out MCing an event with KITT refereeing between those two. For Prime, it is too recent. it was in scale and anesthetic with CHUG and generations before this whole line got started with Thrilling 30. Hasbro could have repackaged the original Prime toys and lost nothing. by contrast, Beast Wars, Unicron Trilogy and Diaclone are so simplistic, so old or so unfamiliar, the Legacy versions are eagerly accepted. Don't care for Lega-Arcee, but Road Rocket is not bad. I have Prime Arcee, (and Beast Hunters Arcee and Light cycle Chromia) I care that they are in the same scale more than the same style. Knock Out definitely shows effort. And I want to encourage that at Hasbro, but reinventing the wheel (or manual transmission) is not necessary.

Oh, I’ve never heard of that. I don’t have that many combiner wars figures to be honest
I think they did say in regard to Animated, the designs will be very G1-ified anyway because they're already _too_ stylized
Also, great vid as always
Thank you so much ☺️
Well, Legacy KO design is not actually based on Prime Universe, but he was based on the idw 2019 comics which actually inspired by Prime design in G1 style to fit in the comic universe aesthetic.
To me it just sounds like false advertising
But wait does that means there's a (slight) chance we'll get an actual Prime Knockout? Probably not...
Man you really had me thinking Dan Norris was dead there!
We do a little trolling lol
knockout and bulkhead make me thankful the upcoming WFC game figures are for studio series and not legacy
Definitely interested to see what they do with them
The robot mode isn't too great in being Knock Out...but I argue, as someone who has the Bloody Knockout figure, the Bluestreak-decoed Beast Hunters figure, he's definitely the much better toy.
I haven’t had any problems with my Jazz’s plastic but I’m super careful and I basically don’t touch my figures when I’m not filming them
Wake up babe, gei4mei uploaded.
Just gotta remind everyone that Knockout’s voice actor is also Timmy’s dad.
Love the jokes as always.
Thank u I try. He did some anime roles back in the day too!
It amazes me how well they've been able to pull off changes to the Beast Wars characters while honoring the original designs, but have failed so badly with the Prime characters.
They probably were just able to spend more money on them
🤔Come to think of it, all the Prime figures also have to share molds several times. Maybe they're just getting less priority to their characters and are suffering from it. Knockout is a retool, Bulkhead rumored to be a pretool, and Arcee was a pretool for multiple other characters.
Ah yes, they disrispected my boi femboy red jazz with this figure... Neat mold but they sucked the lofe out of it and that? That.. that hurts man
I wish they gave him a smirk instead of a bored ahh expression
Arcee’s mold seems to be designed for Cybertron Ransack rather than for Arcee.

Aww you have notifications on 🥺
If the WFC figures are put into studio series, i can 100 % say they wont botch the designs like they did with Prime.
Exactly my thoughts fren 🧐
Tbh, I think that Bulkhead and Knockout are both great designs for Bulkhead and Knockout, and I'm definitely going to buy both of them once I get the chance, but I heavily agree with the idea that they're bad at being Prime Bulkhead and Knockout specifically. That said, all of the criticisms were very fair, great review
Also legacy animated can't come soon enough, I desperately need a TFA Blackarachnia figure
I’m literally at the edge of my seat waiting to hear about them
@@Gei4Mei honestly I think the animated figures are going to be great. The designs are already pretty damn G1, and they won't have to worry too much about emulating the art style. I'm also just sort of a sucker for seeing character designs done in different art styles
Yeah like I said elsewhere, they’re not as complex as Prime, they’re more exaggerated
Thank u lol 😂 yeah I think he deserves his own mold
0:55 mans rockin the gold rpf1’s
He has good taste
Considering that later legacy armada trilogy figures like override, starscream, hot shot, definitely nail their respective aesthetics I'm certain that they learned that we want figures that 'feel' like their characters. I'm not to terribly upset over the prime legacy figures, seeing as that Legacy's whole deal is to include as many characters as possible with all the molds they have. I'll still get Knockout mostly because I plan on getting legacy Breakdown because I'm BDKO trash lol.
And Knockout is always good looking no matter universe he's in.
That’s true, I have my eyes set on Grand Galvatron now cause I want that G1 Prime Breakdown lol
I think they should have used the Sideswipe mold instead of the jazz mold. Sideswipe's body I think looks more like Knockout's body
Proportionally, I agree 100 percent. How could they mold it to look similar tho 🤔
There's actually a custom where you paint a sideswipe knockout colors and take legacy knockout face and put it on the figure and it looks good
3:10 god dayumm
I think they’re supposed to just be inspired by Prime and Arcee happens to look very similar as it’s kind of unavoidable.
However, The Unicron Trilogy figures are totally unaltered, only Prime’s figures are different than the on screen.
Although I still love these adaptations a lot
All together it makes Arcee stand out a lot
It would be better if they just said he was a new G1 version of Prime Knockout. It makes sense that he can have a parallel version in another reality. Same with Bulkhead, Breakdown, etc.
I don't consider Prime's version of Knockout gay. The version in the comics is. In Prime he's like Tracks.
Ion know he an Breakdown were definitely up to something 👀
Much of the points here are very justified in that g1 has indeed become a plague but I feel we’re ignoring another issue. Most of these designs do not translate well to toy form. Specifically bayverse and prime
If you go one of the “transformations” you can see that it’s basically a perfect example of jhobby’s mp44.
I do too, I realize Tarantulas uses one but I’ve always associated it with Knockout
If they’re doing Studio Series Versions of the FoC/WfC Game characters, they should do Studio Series versions of Transformers Shows, like Animated, PRIME, and some others
Prime is a big maybe, Animated I’m fine with the originals unless they do the whole main cast in scale
@@Gei4Mei maybe
Honestly I’m scared to see how badly Skyquake has been bastardized. Bulkhead was tolerable, but Arcee and Knockout aren’t doing it for me, and none of them look even remotely like their original designs. I can only hope that the reason Hasbro is choosing to “stylize” the Prime characters now is because there are plans to do accurate updates sometime in the future.
We can hope, people are hoping they expand Studio Series to mean TV movies too
I keep hoping a 3P company will make an upgrade kit that gives him his wheel-wings, AT LEAST. The 5mm port on his back is a little low, but I think it would greatly improve his sillhouette.
I’m hoping for a 3p to just attempt the Prime design
I hope they learned their lesson!

Thats probably the idea, Hasbro likes to believe that the Geewunners are the primary market
@@Gei4Mei I just do not get it. The Beast Wars line showed there was still massive interest in a line that was not Gen 1. Prime was a fairly popular show with a ton of fans that are now grown up and making money. They are a huge market to tap into, but no one seems to want to.

Was the R.E.D Knockout review a joke or is that video actually existent? Only ask cuz I wanna watch it and can't find it
Those first six words caught me painfully off guard.
Can’t let your guard down these days!
My problem is that I was unlucky enough to get a loose af knockout figure
That sucks, There’s definitely ways to stiffen the joints if you want to try and fix him
Basically, the problem is that they made Prime characters not Prime... imagine if they did the same for G1... geewuners would have torched down Hasbro headquarters by now... if you say you are going to do a character from a very specific iteration (as stated on the very box you sell them in) JUST DO THAT CHARACTER!
Something that I couldn’t find that I needed for context in this one was that I distinctly remember Mark or somebody clarifying that the prime universe name was a marketing decision, and that these were really supposed to be G1 versions of the characters. But I couldn’t find it anywhere and I don’t know if maybe I made that up, so I didn’t include it
Ironic, since GeeWunners did get mad when bay made designs, yet now they're defending these "prime" figures
@@therailfanman2078 especially since the Bayverse is NOT G1... but that never stopped GeeWuners, did that?

I REALLY like these legacy designs because it makes them visually compatible with the most recent mainline CHUG.
the prime designs don't work because they have living metal. there's only so close you can get, and the first editions are almost perfect for most of the figures.
knockouts design is impossible to transform, and Hasbro released an R.E.D. knockout for prime enthusiasts. for automobile enthusiasts, just keep your classic knockout in alt mode. (EDIT: just heard you mention red, but it's to do with my perspective anyways.)
knockouts slicing is a result of him being a retool of jazz.
I agree the legacy weapons are problematic. not much to add there except they either need to just make better weapons, or include more modular weapons to actually mix and match like with Red Cog.
He should’ve got his own mold!

Really though, Knockout is just a narcissist but the show creators never said he had rainbow themed start flags.

I’m optimistic, I think Animated would be harder to screw up
I think it would be possible to get an animated bulkhead with the legacy bulkhead mode it has the general shape in vehicle mode the front would have to be completely remolded and the riot shield could swapped out for a shovel claw weapon that’s a the back half of animated bulkheads vehicle mode and can be the bits that hang over the shoulders other then that just remold the head and give him claw hands only thing is how to make him more bulky then blocky
You would’ve really enjoyed my bulkhead video lol

those are Nendoroids, think of them as the thing Funko Pops were made to be chinsy knock-off for; as for the characters the figures are, they're;
- Hana Uzaki, titular character of the manga & anime "Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!" (the one with the "Sugoi Dekai" raglan, but I think the hair's from another figure)
- Rikka Tarada from SSSS.Gridman (the officially-unofficial Shattered Glass anime because TakaraTOMY and Hasbro are cowards for not letting Trigger make a Transformers anime; Rikka's design is based on SG Megatron)
- and Aqua from Konosuba (the blue-haired crybaby)
at least those are the ones I recognize
Thats them, very expensive toys. Expect to see more in the future lol
I recently got this one for Christmas (it was in a two pack sold with one of the stunticons). One minor thing I feel like they could’ve done is modify the mold just enough to allow the chest to split down the middle (so that it can be position In a slightly more angler position like in his cartoon appearance)
Overall, I don’t hate the toy, it just doesn’t feel like Knockout to me, merely a cheap imitation
Looks a tad bland in the color department but looks fine to me

I just think he needs a little extra spice in his design
I been saying, they shoulda reissued First Edition 😤
