Hi Everyone! I have a new website! GlutenFreeHabit.com. It's a great place to see and print all of my recipes. I hope you'll take a minute to check it out! Thanks so much for watching, liking, and subscribing :)
A huge vote of thanks for de-mystifying the process. The colours are very pretty and any other colour choices are only limited by imagination, but right now, my imagination is working overtime 🤩🥰🥰🥰😍🥳😺🐈
You are so sweet! I'm Linda, and I'm sure I'll have my picture on my website (working on it as we speak). And yes, these curls are are so much fun when you get the hang of it. Sooo pretty on desserts.
Hello Linda, I have to let you know, that I made your wonderful sandwich bread....it's to die for. And I have to agree with my husband. The taste is close to a French or Italian bread. So thank you so much for that recipe.
Hi Judy - Although I've never personally used the candy melts, I bet they might work. These are a little trickier than making curls with a good chocolate containing a high percentage of cacao, but as you can see, it can be accomplished even with white chips :) Hope they are a success!
Yes, these are also called chocolate cigarettes. These ones are made with white chocolate that I've colored. Many times they are done in a combination of dark and white chocolate in a striped pattern. Either way they are delicious and beautiful on desserts! Thanks for commenting :)

Why do pastels make me feel at peace❤️
What is the amount of white chocolate you started with? 1 cup?
That looks like fun. Can't wait to try this. Thank you. Wish I knew your name and see your face.

Thank you Claudette!
What is shortening and what does it do? - thank you for this video
Shortening is a solid fat (Crisco is a popular one). It just makes the chocolate a little bit more manageable. Best of luck with your chocolate curls!
Will this work with candy melts?

Mmm...
:) I have to be careful not to eat them before they make it onto the cake!
What have you used for shortening?
I just use Crisco Vegetable Shortening. I hope your curls turn out beautifully!!
Any substitute for shortening
Is it cigarette?
