Hershey syrup cannot be used because it does not harden.
What's kind of chocolate?
Normal dark chocolate 50-90%
They didn’t tempered it hence why it was so soft to peel. It would be a lot flakier if you tempered the chocolate.
However because they didn’t temper the chocolate it won’t last at room temperature 😅😅 (if you put it on side of cream cakes or top it should be fine though as cream is cold) 😊

You could hv directly grate it from the original Bar. Why did you have to melt it to shape it back as a Bar all over again ?
The reason why I didn't use a chocolate bar.
1. Chocolate bar is thin. If I make a bar myself, I can make it as thick as I want.
2. Where I live, chocolate bars don't have merit in terms of price and don't have the kind I want.Round chips are sold in a greater variety.
3. When I have to melt chocolate for another recipe, I have to chop the chocolate bar into small pieces. I do not want that work.

I used the Ghirardelli melting wafers. They melted thoroughly, but never turned into the liquid like state shown in the video. I could not pour the chocolate into the plastic container. Rather, I had to scoop it in. What kind of chocolate did you use?
