Amir khan is the true King Khan not just of Bollywood but also of India. His movies like Rang De Basanti, Lagaan, Taare Jaameen Par, 3 Idiots have highlighted critical issues faced by this country and along with great entertainment have sent a clear and loud message. People who don't understand and act on them are really Blind and Deaf. Such movies people will watch again and again, even though they may not be in the 100 crore club. We need more of such Film makers. And now with satyamev jayate he is doing another great service to this nation. People should donate wholeheartedly to these causes.
I wish in future he will win a Oscar which definitely deserved... Once nominated for LAGAN but unfortunately he didn't win... But best of luck for Amir in future..

Composting garbage is very easy. Keep a small bowl in your kitchen. Put all vegetable wastes into that while you cook. (No eggshells, meat, milk.) Take an old bucket, make a few small holes in its sides and bottom, and keep it outside. Put the vegetable wastes into this bucket, cover with some dry leaves, sprinkle some water to keep it wet, and cover the bucket loosely with a lid. Do this every day. Once in a while, shake the bucket to mix. There will be no smell. When the bucket is full, allow it to compost for a few more weeks. (During this time, put your waste into another similar bucket. That means, ideally, have two buckets.) Then, dig up the soil, spread the waste, and cover it with the soil. That's it. In a few months you will see a big difference in your plants. (If you put fresh waste in your garden, bandicoots will dig it up and make a mess.)

Ashaji, what i suggest is before going a campaign, select a place of your city. First train some people or who are actively participating in this campaign must have full knowledge and aware ness on this. so that you can approach door to door and in the house who does cooking or who have knowledge of vegetables, fruits, groceries we can tell them and make them aware of this. so that it will be much more success of your campaign. Thanks for this wise suggestion. As mentioned in another post we have succeeded in getting 100 households of one locality to sort their waste. We are composting more than 2 quintals and have sold over a quintal of dry waste to kavadis. The problem of insanitary waste remains. It is still being dumped on a hillside by the municipality. We are now working with Ward members in two wards to do the same there.

This is one show on Indian television which is worth watching.. And really friends I fail to understand when there are so easy and cheap methods are available for waste management which can rather generate revenue and we have expertise in those methods.. what is the difficulty for government and municipalities is adopting them

There is no lack of highly talented people in India we just need good educadetd leaders.
Even if we segregate the garbage the municipality will pickup in one vehicle only then what is point of segregation. Municipality should use separate vehicles
