    Another great video review. Nice catch on the Typo. Things like that drive me nuts as well!!

      Thanks for watching. It almost takes effort nowadays to spell something wrong, so I can't let it go when it see it, especially on a professionally designed website.

    Not sure if you’ll see this, but I found your channel a couple weeks ago while looking for sights (uv slider) and while watching, you were clipping on my earphones with the s’. I commented and brought up the complaint and you politely acknowledged it and said you’d work on it. Thank you. Now I’m working on finding a release. While watching this video, it was much easier on the ears. This video is older than the other so I’m not sure why, but the settings on this video seem better. Just thought I’d let you know for what it’s worth. Either way, thanks for all the knowledge and your experience. I like the direct, straightforward information. Subbed.

      Hello again. Thank you for letting me know the audio was better on this one. I'm trying to pay closer attention to the sound levels and trying to keep it in the "yellow" at most, though my own volume might have been be different (i was annoyed with some of the aspects of UV's approach to marketing, design, pricing, and QC). I was more chill during this video and nothing about the Executive Flex (other than the .035 wrench to make adjustments) or TRU Ball's marketing of it were particularly outlandish.
      So I'm slowly learning things I didn't know I didn't know, and am working on improving the quality of my videos. I do appreciate those kinds of critiques, as well.
      Anyway, thank you for watching and if you have any questions, please let me know.

    I purchased my second one today. It's a great release. Like I have mentioned before, the two features they added were VERY necessary. I really disliked the sweep of the Gen 1 and for me it locked me into a very undesirable handle. Too bad because the two moon adjustment is the best out there! Am I the only one still scratching my head why they didn't make the magnet larger or add a second to keep the head from flopping around? I hunt with mine and it sure would have bee nice!!! One main negative on all their hinge releases is their thumb peg....it really sucks! It's cheap, it bends over time and comes apart in pieces when removing it. I can't remove it fast enough to put on a 3/8" "VERNIE" 😊

      I would have liked to have the head secured as well, but the majority of hinges only secure the hook to the head and leave the head loose. The exceptions are the HT/HBC (which uses springs), UV Hinge 2.0 (which uses a magnet attached to the neck and grabs the hook instead of the head), the Stan Onnex Hinge (springs) and the Cobra Professional (lots of springs hold everything in place).
      If the head was steel, it would have been easy to do, but I don't think there's enough ferrous metal in there to grab onto.
      I agree about the thumb peg. I'll be putting something different on there eventually.
      Thanks for watching 👍.

    True to form - insightful & witty! Will the four finger attachment from the medium Pro Blade Flex fit this release?

    • @ajbholsters2035
      @ajbholsters2035  9 месяцев назад

      Thank you for watching. Yes, the 4-Finger Flex fingers from any other Medium or Large TRU Ball release that accepts Flex Fingers will fit on the Executive Flex. This includes the tapered ones from the HBC Flex (which has what I was using in the video since it was the first complete set I found in my storage bins 😁).
      So the ones from the Blade Pro Flex will fit 👍

    I know Perkins was shooting a prototype of this release for years so I actually think he had quite a bit to do with this one. I can’t say the same about others.

      Hello and thank you for the insight. I think you're right that some get to influence the design where others just get their names stamped on the side. The Executive wasn't based off of an existing design, so I figure he had more say in how it was developed. Others like the HBC used an existing design (the HT) and just made the handle straighter and put a hook on the ring finger.

    Which Truball release would you consider to be closest to the form factor of this release, excepting the extendable head, the HBC? Would you think this release is more aggressive than the HBC?

    • @ajbholsters2035
      @ajbholsters2035  4 месяца назад

      When you say "form factor", so you mean handle shape or operation? The Executive Flex should pair up well with the GOAT, Trident, Ultimate Flex, Blade, Rave, and TRex/Stalk'R in terms of handle shape and hook location. Whether it gives you a similar impact point is up to the archer.
      The head on the Executive Flex is more aggressive than the HBC based on the angle it sits when pinned to the head. The HBC has a slight upward and can be drawn with enough pinky forward angle to keep the head from lifting off. The Executive Flex's head sits at a negative angle and is floating no matter what angle you draw it. So it could be very cold or extremely hot.

    Great review. How would you compare the size of their medium to other models medium (Stan, UV)?

    • @ajbholsters2035
      @ajbholsters2035  9 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you for watching. I would say the TRU Ball mediums fall between the large and XL of a Stan Onnex, and roughly on par with the UV Hinge 2.0 and UV Button.
      The printouts on my website can help with handle comparisons.

    Only going by what I see in the video. It looks like you could push the hook off the moon with your middle finger when wearing a glove in hunting situation. Also, you hold the world record for donning a flannel shirt😂

    • @ajbholsters2035
      @ajbholsters2035  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, it was getting cold in my basement, so I willed an extra layer into existence 😂.
      I'd have to try it with gloves on, but i think there's enough clearance that they shouldn't get in the way if you were going to hunt with it. You can always extend the head if the do; so that's a plus, I suppose.

    I just switched to Hinge style. I've been playing with the Ascent, Hinge2 and now the Executive Flex. Looking on info about how to adjust the moons, I found your tread on AT. On the Hinge 2 the moons adjustment is super easy, on the Ascent I struggle with it, end up loosing everything and using my fingers. But can't get the Exect Flex right. The 2 screws on the manual, give me a little , movement on the clicker, but from click to fire I can't. It would be great if you can make a video on How, for us mental handicaps. Thanks for the videos

      Thank you for watching. I will add that to my list of videos. I have two that I'm hoping to record this weekend, but after that I can get something made. There are a lot of different locking screws on the Executive, so i'm assuming something is still locked down when you try to move the sears. As for the Scott Ascent, I just unlock the click and nudge it with my finger. then i micro-adjust the sear after I unlock it. That's another one that requires three different tools to get it unlocked. Anyway, I will get that demonstration made and posted as soon as i can.

      @@ajbholsters2035 I called Lancaster, they told me to watch a Vid from TruBall where they show how to adjust the old Executive, and there is one more screw, the bigger one right by where the middle finger knuckle rests. I played with the adjustments. I can get the click where I seem to like (just after anchoring) but it seems the release don't have adjustment enough, for my taste, in between click and firing. So far, it seems I like a bit more sweeping hand than what I can get with this. Thanks again

    What’s the sizing compared to the Scott ascent? Bought a median ascent and it was a little too big

    • @ajbholsters2035
      @ajbholsters2035  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hello and thank you for watching. The medium Executive Flex is comparable in size to the Ascent Medium. So you're going to want to look at a small Executive Flex if the medium Ascent is too large. I'm finding myself to be most consistent with a hinge when the handle is perfectly fitted, so I end up going a size smaller on my hinges than my thumbs.
