Thanks so much for these tips and exercises. I may never have the honor of learning and playing with you via Skype, but your are helping more than you know and I truly appreciate you and your approach. Thanks again.
Hi Tomo, thanks for sharing this great information. Maybe one day I will be fortunate enough to have the privilege of some Skype lessons! That would be awesome. Thanks for everything you share - including the great inspiration that you provide.
The boss, ir200, is a nice little piece of machinery, too. Especially if you download new impulse responses. You can do a million things with it. I'm finally happy with my sound, and now that i can compare my s.s. marshall with a couple of tubes that marshall is freaking fantastic. That peavey i just got is something special. There's too many options with amps and guitar's.
@@TomoFujitaMusic It is my pleasure and a privilege to watch you every day because I want to learn from the best! I wish you and your family all the best!😘🤗🙏🎸God bless you! 🙏😇
I have heard from few Professional Guitar Instructors that Fret muting is a lost art. Especially in back up players for studios. Foundation so very important. One must learn how to strike a nail before building a House. People really should build their guitar technique with a solid foundation. The rest will come so much easier. Rock On. When learning new picking patterns I learn the pattern then then the notes/chords. One thing at a time then blend together. Hang a capo if one gets bored with sound of open strings. I one can move the picking pattern up and down the strings the song becomes very easy and creating music becomes much smoother. Muscles only get memory thru repetition. Take Care Master Tomo. I do hope you and Dexter get to enjoy some warm sunshine today, it looks promising for you.
Thank you so much for sharing! Muting is very special technique but many guitarists put something (short sock) on the nut area! Thank you so much! Yes! Now he loves it! Max too!
You are a Guitar Maniac 🤣 - Great stuff - Know the form(s) “not” the fingerings - you’re right hand is something else as well - conservation of motion - thank you for sharing your knowledge/technique! 🙂
This is great Tomo, playing rhythm at a high level and in time is really important. It’s boring sometimes but it’s worth it 😃. When I first started playing, it was all rock and metal barre chords and then I learned Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo by Rick Derringer and that was a great song to get my strumming technique going and also mix in chords other than basic barres. There’s also some cool syncopated rhythmic licks, and of course the muted strumming that you are famous for too. If you haven’t done it already, that song might be a good breakdown lesson for you to do sometime 👍🏼👌🏼
I play my swinging 8ths much better than straight 8ths. Because I only learned Jazz standards like "Take The A Train", "Satin Doll", "Fly Me To The Moon", or Blues like "One For Daddy-O" or "Blue Monk".. the only straight 8ths are in "Manhe de Carnaval" or "Blue Bossa"... or similar standards .. but I wished I could learn some of the R&B / Funk rhythms.
Hello Mr Fujita, I would like to know if you could do a lesson tiki guitar 3 levels ? I hear it’s using some jazz voicings but I can’t make it sound « exotic » 😅
Do I need to get an electric guitar? I have/like acoustic. Does it make sense to try this wonderful exercise on acoustic? Thanks in advance for your answer(s)!
