I just went and saw Foo Fighters this past Saturday night in Oklahoma City. Absolutely AMAZING show. Dave Grohl is the absolute definition of what it means the be a rockstar. And yes….they knocked Everlong out of the freakin park!
Everlong is off their second album and at the time the drummer was William Goldsmith but during the recording of the album Dave Grohl the lead singer for the Foo Fighters and former drummer of Nirvana did all the drum tracks for the album after that William Goldsmith left the band and they brought in Taylor Hawkins who was the drummer for Alanis Morissette.
Fun side note: Dave came up with the guitar part just dicking around in the studio between takes. He also views it as a drumbeat on guitar, which makes a ton of sense if you've ever tried to learn it.
The lead singer is the drummer from Nirvana but Dave growl played every instrument on this record then put the band together. Dave growl is a musical magician . He wrote and made this entire record then made his band and they are already in the rock n roll hall of fame just like his other and NIRvana is! Legendary
