Congratulations! A really successful event! I would have asked the “photographer” if you could help them , maybe engage in conversation - might make them a bit more accountable for what they were doing. 🙂
Ive had that happen to me....i always say "here's my business card make sure to tag me on social media, please and thank you"......politely of course and and with a smile😊.....that usually gets them and next thing you know i get a some tags.....sometimes if i see them reaching for their phone i'll causally announce...."please ask before taking pictures and tag me on social media if you do." Thats gets them too......and you are right it is rude to do that without at least asking.....i usually dont mind if they ask first
Congratulations on your event! I would've let them know they could purchase the pattern and it would explain how to make it in better detail that they can't get from a picture. I do believe that it's rude but teens don't always have that discernment either. Engaging in conversation and that let them know they can purchase the patterns ( if you sell them that is) you could have another potential sale
I think change your mindset on the pictures. You inspired a teen to create and work on her business, that’s amazing. We all take inspiration from each other and NOTHING we make is completely innovative
@@cortneyscraftcornerI love some of the suggestions others have left, I think implementing those and then kinda thinking about the flip side will help! Best wishes ❤
I would have just talked to them and let them know that it was rude (in a kind way, though). Sometimes, people don't think, especially teenagers. I probably would've been shocked, too. Maybe you could sell them your patterns if you have them (or perhaps it's a sign that you need to sell your patterns, lol). Thank you for sharing your market experience. I appreciate it.
I would just ask them if they were curious about something and that you see they have a table too. Just talk about how much you love crochet or whatever to hopefully let them take the hint that you know they were awkwardly watching lol. Talk about how long you've been doing markets and such.
As I get older. I get braver. I would ask what you are doing with a smile on my face. And you can have a polite conversation with her.

I should have done that.
Put up a sign that says...'no PHOTOS PLEASE'

You must be new at this, it happens all the time. I take it as a compliment. You could embarrass them by asking what are you using the pictures for.
That is sad that people stole your plushies😢 I am always afraid of that happening
It was unbelievable. I was shocked
that's rude people take pictures I don't ask if is ok
