Honestly Lockmort is a true friend, hearing how much it hurt him to see a friend hurt this way is real shit. I’m glad he didn’t sugarcoat anything and also, hope we don’t lose your presence on YT Lock!
Gene, I want to make a parody of the Dos Equis “Most Interesting man In The World” commercial with you instead of the normal guy. Where can I find the most high quality video of your face? “I don’t always go in chat rooms, but when I do, I’m the first one to do it in Guam.” “I don’t always meet random women, but when I do, they wanna sleep with me.” “I don’t always manage other peoples’ Twitter accounts, but when I do, they’re Norm Macdonald.”
Honestly i feel like Lock should host a podcast on last stand cause he is always so interesting and unique in the way he comunicates, hope he can be a weekly regular on some of the podcasts here
This was one of the best constellations of the year. Dagan is world class, and the combo of Locke and Matty is a treasure. Don’t let the haters and the liars get ya down. 90 percent of people that listen legit don’t fall for that stupid crap, we just come for the level headed takes, fun stories, and the great mix of people at LSM. Yall are the only Patreon I will ever give to.
My favorite episode with three people so far. Lockmort always brings great topics and Matty is who I want to hear from on Constellation outside of Colin.
I like 4 person shows because I feel like the dynamic improves when more people can contribute to the discussion. There’s a greater chance of someone having a funny or interesting tangential story to share. With four people, if one person doesn’t have much to say on a particular topic, it’s fine because there are still plenty of voices to keep the conversation going. In contrast, with just three people, there’s more pressure to sustain the discussion. On the previous episode of Constellation, during the first topic, Masculinity, Gene himself mentioned that he wished it had been a 4 person episode, timestamp is 15 mins and 20 seconds in. For all these reasons, I truly believe having four people makes for a better podcast.
I will never stop being pedantic when people talk about "Live Action Lion King films". Until someone trains a bunch of lions to perform Hamlet, there is no such thing.
I sincerely adore you also Lock! You have been an absolute pleasure to have known thru LSM. So grateful every time your on. I do wish you the very best at any and all routes you decide to do!
Dagan, I couldn't agree with Matty enough. I would love to hear an animation podcast from you. As someone who went to school for digital animation and game design, I would get such a kick out of listening to it. Lock, I love your perspective on conversations, hearing your life story, and I hope you have a blessed 2025! Matty, I'm glad you kept your chin up and persevered through that junk that happened to you. Looking forward to watching your videos more and more! The GameStop hauls crack me up.
I'm with Matty, I think just a small amount of extra effort into the world makes such I difference. I love just helping people out a little and then just getting a smile or a thanks. When common courteous interactions are so rare in our world, what does that say about us?
Rachael Zegler is not wrong about Snow White. The prince sexually harasses her at the beginning. They have ZERO INTERACTION for the rest of the movie until the end where he KISSES HER CORPSE. They absolutely should be fleshing out the story more in a remake. Should she be speaking the truth? No, it’s bad PR. But it is the truth nonetheless.
Dagan, one of many possibilities, I guess the woman has severe OCD. She can help but do things a certain way. Also they don't like to talk/admit to it I think. Why she couldn't explain herself. Great podcast yet again guys!
I remember once being on an elevator and all the men waited for the women to get off. She got pissed, rolled her eyes, and got off. One of the rudest things I've seen in my life.
Can relate to Lock on friends leaving his dad when he got sick. i saw 40 yrs of friendship disappear as soon as my dad had Dementia. they never came by or wanted to go out to eat with him and yet all showed up to his funeral . Fuck Em they actively hung out and avoided him
While I do agree with all of your end of year takes. It does make you wonder if the pressures of the end of the year itself (deadlines, holidays, family) provides the need for a break.
I think the real answer to this problem you guys have with Disney is to redirect your attention to more indie films that are coming out. Flow & Memoir of a Snail are both animated movies that came out this year and both of them displayed immense artistry. If you’re looking for creativity in modern Disney, you’re looking in the wrong place. There’s real artist making real art that isn’t meddled by suits & executives. Even if it doesn’t seem like it on a mainstream level
Very interesting conversation relating to remakes that I largely agree with. Though there are so many great films coming out every year that don't do gangbusters at the box office, such as Anora, Challengers and The Substance from this year. There are also great films that do really well like Oppenheimer and Dune: Part 2. Who knows if they'll stand the test of time as well as well-regarded classics, but they're at least well made and entertaining. Could also be a taste thing given that I thought Deadpool and Wolverine was easily the worst thing released this year lol.
The Disney live-action remakes and sequels, they are just disgusting cash-ins. Because they know that there are sheep out there by the millions that will pay to watch them
Eh occasionally you're going to agree up and down with people. That said i haven't finished the ep yet so I'll be looking for ur angle. All I want is authenticity, idc what they think.
What section really needed a dissenting voice though? I guess it could've been funnier if they had a Disney Adult on that vehemently defended all the live action slop 😂

Loved listening to Lock’s bit during Matty’s topic. Very well spoken.
Really special episode. Lock being so open really makes for impactful conversations. Love all of you.

I think Lock might be my favorite person to hear from in LSM. No disrespect to anybody else but so awesome whenever he’s on a show.

If they do 4 people shows, the topic discussion should be tighter. 3 topics in 3 hours or 1 hour per topic is too much for most listeners i think
45:06 SO funny to hear Lockmort mutter "horrible actress" and Dagan say "Gal Galdot is awesome" literally less than a second apart LOL!
Love Locke...

Love you, boys. This was a good trio.
Great show, you guys hit the nail on the head about the politicisation of media and the slop that's being produced. Few gems out there ever anymore.
fucking excellently discussed conversations here. love it!!

44:07 Dagan took everyone by suprise lol
It's like hearing your parents curse as a kid lol
🤣
He's outta line, but he's right
Matty is one bad public interaction away, from going all Michael Douglas in Falling Down 😂

just checked out those 7 dwarves you guys were talking about. Nightmare fuel!
Love having Dagan back

I contest the only good Disney live action remake so far is Beauty and the Beast

I miss knockback
3 people panels
The dial of Destiny is God awful, and I'm a huge Indiana Jones fan. It's incredibly boring and way too long. And I love Indiana Jones 4.
You guys still got those gigantic woke blinders on
This one is a little circle jerky lads
