I was just looking at a “played with” Clawtron here yesterday and now you’ve made this great restoration! Thanks for making the sticker available to us, I’m sure it will get a lot of use.
Oh, wow. This is really going to feed my Clawtron addiction. 8^) It was about my favorite action figure when I was a kid. I've been buying them up slowly over the last few years. I think I'm over a dozen by now. This will really help make them look better! THANK YOU!!!!!
Thank you for making the stickers !!! Clawtron has always been my favorite adventure person , time to start digging in the attic and see if i can make mine pretty again :-)
I remember playing with one of these when I was very young.I don't remember if it belonged to me or not but I do remember adventure people being a lot of fun to play with as a 3-4 year old.
You must be about my age! The Adventure People seemed ubiquitous when I was a child. I never really had many personally, but it seems like everyone I knew had at least some. I loved Clawtron, and remember playing with the Alpha Probe space shuttle at my cousin’s house. I have both now, and am eager to apply Toy Palloi’s sticker to my Clawtron(s)!
Thanks for doing this one, Dave. I don't know if you saw my comment several weeks ago or not, but I have three Clawtron figures, and not a single one has the original sticker on the chest. I've restored them as best I can, but the sticker would be of great benefit. One of them, I had already painted the chest area silver, as I had eventually planned to paint in the yellow and black details, but this works out for me!
I downloaded the decals from the@@toypolloi site, and applied two of them to a couple of my figures. I don't currently have any clear sticker paper, so I had to print them out onto white paper. It looks pretty good, but I think on one of them I might try to paint over the gray part of the sticker with some silver paint as an experiment to see how that looks. After all, all the shapes on the sticker now can serve as guide lines for that. I'll let you know how things turn out there.
Okay! I used the small Molotow Chrome pen, and carefully went over the gray areas on the chest sticker, and it turned out quite nice! I'm going to need just a small amount of touching up, but try doing that. It really gives the yellow bits more contrast, and adds the shininess back to the emblem!
Love it...Please do Adventure people #318 motorcycle handle bar repair would be nice to see.. ive got 2 but live in 🇨🇦. 1- completely missing. 1-just snapped one side.
That is an amazing figure. I must've missed them (over here in the States)... but I'm sure I was put off by the Fisher Price name. :) I remember equating that name with "baby" toys. Sadly, I might've missed out on some good stuff in the ol' letters to Santa had I not been so smug. :)
I need to find one of those liquid chrome pens bc I got one of those paint silver pens n I used it on 2 bsg cylons it looks good but scratches n rubs off really easy. ☹
Great video as usual. Any thoughts on printing the clear decals using waterslide decal paper? I think modellers apply MicroSol to the decals to achieve a more 'painted on' effect.
I love this figure, but the X-Rays will always rule. Hey man, just curious: Regarding repro cardboard goods & custom painting, would you be into a bit of commission ($$, toy swap, etc.) work? Header card repros and some rudimentary painting, modest jobs that should be no trouble for someone with your skill level. I just haven't got the steady hands nor adequate eyesight for the more finite stuff, and I don't really mess with printers of any sort, so...
I'm using a Canon pixma at the moment. It's not great and I am looking to upgrade to a laser printer. But I need to do some research to find out the best one for printing on different paper types.
Hi Dave! My boys are going mad over the FPAP I’ve bought them from eBay! Just wondering if you have a fix for ‘floppy neck- itis’ that some of them seem to have??
I've not done a video on that yet, as I just tend to leave mine as is when I get them. Well played with and a bit wobbly. But I will add it to my list of future projects. Cheers
Adventure People toys were one of the best made 70's -early 80s toys , they were made to last
We had adventure people as kids... fisher price was really well made
I always liked robots, especially the old-school FP figures like CLAWTRON. GREAT job restoring it!
They look great! Love the one with the silver painted chest plate.

I love those silver paint pens - I use them all the time.
Does the painted area ever remain sticky or tacky for a long time after you paint it? That was always a problem when I used pens on my figures.
@@namelessjedi2242 Definitely stays tacky for longer than paints, but it dries eventually.
Amazing work
Nicely done! The clear acetate looks great over the painted silver chest-plate
Great work man 👍🏽✌🏽

The clear one does look really good, plus it will help protect the silver so it doesn't wear! 👍☯️👍
Clawtron lives!!
One of my favourite videos! Great Work.
nice restoration as usual
I saw these toys for sale at K-Mart well into the 80s. They were so creepy cool.
Another absolutely phenomenal video well done!
Great work indeed friend!!! You are a master on PB!!!👍
Great job
You had me at Clawtron.. total clickbait (for me) He's clearly Captain Zargon's son 😁
Nice video! Good job!

He had been on my to do list for while. I picked up another recently so thought it was time I fixed them up.

I got Clawtron recently from Value Village. Didn't know what it was, had to look it up. The decal is completely gone, I think.
Nice restoration. I have a collection of these FP Adventure people but I'm finding really hard to get my hands on Brainoid and Opticon
Those are hard ones to find. I don't have them loose yet either, just on a card.
@@toypolloi I saw opticon loose once on ebay but it was about £30. I guess its because it was only available as part of a multi figure pack👍

In my experience the figure was always tacky, like the paint never fully dried.
I just put them next to my cylon this week
Great video as usual.

I was going to suggest that as well, water slide paper is great stuff
It would be wonderful if you could do a tutorial on fixing bullet man arms
What music is being used during the decal design sequence?
I love this figure, but the X-Rays will always rule.

@ToyPolloi what kind of printer do you use? Ive destroyed several printing on acetate for screenprinting projects. Looking for a decent one

has anyone seen any guides to removing adventure people helmets. trying to fix a Brainoid that has a bad helmet that I want to replace
Where can I find this music? Its really relaxing

Great vid. Adobe illustrator works much better than Photoshop for this.
It depends what package you have and use. I use Photoshop.
This figure quite strongly reminds me of Captain Zargon The Space Pirate from the Action Man - Space Rangers toyline. 😕
He has that vibe for sure.

Yep! 🙂
Damnit, can't subscribe twice
