These songs aren't cheesy. They're classics.
RIGHT??!! Maybe Disco Duck or something...but not these
Ikr🤷
These songs are classy
There are a couple here that I'd call cheesy (looking at you Debbie Boone) but there is nothing cheesy about most of these (esp "All Right Now" and "Love Hurts" - cheesy songs don't get covered repeatedly over the decades.
Well, a few are cheesy
Nothing beats 1970’s music, never forgotten and always cherished. I was born 1970, my favorite music decade of all time.
💕
Mine is the 1990s. I was born 1993.
70's had everything ❣️❣️
I agree.
I fully agree! The love the audio productions!
Only a couple of these were cheesy, most were very cool songs.
God, the story behind Dancing in the Moonlight crushes me. I’ve always considered it one of the most “happy songs” ever written so the original of the song blows my mind.
Definitely a horrible event behind the song but, ultimately it is a positive tune because he overcame the attack, filled his pockets with money, and providing joy to many who enjoy the song!
Agree
Todays music sucks. Nazareth wasn’t a one hit wonder. How old r u kid?
He's a clueless newbie
No shit. Nazareth is still putting out albums and had numerous big songs.
I saw Dan McCafferty 's face and decided not to watch this bullshit.
No kidding ! Hair of The Dog??? HELLO !!
True, but Nazareth sucks too.
@@swingersonian Say people who will never amount to a fraction of what these musicians accomplished.
These are not cheesy. They are good songs . They kick the crap out of the pure non talented garbage out now .
So true.
Came here to say this 👍
Hear, hear!
I so agree. They have stories and beautiful melodic lines
Yup, rose tinted glasses here.
Sounds like he's still wet behind the ears. How old are you? These hits are far from chessy. I'm a 70's kid n these we're GOOD 'O DAYS!
Well said Noemi 👍👍👍
i agree
Yep!
70s was the best times ever best yrs of my life I'm 62 now but the music was really kick ass back then
THAT'S RIGHT!! We knew how to ROCK in the 70s, even though we were just kids!! We had to LEARN to sing the songs, unlike now when they don't have to learn anything. Even the words are projected on a screen for gosh sake! We would listen to Kiss in class after lunch, then Disco Duck!! You could have FUN with those songs!🥰🙌👏
I'm a child of the 70s & I don 't think I would characterize these songs as "cheesy" but maybe that's because I'm realllly sentimental. Loved this video!
This guy wouldn’t recognize cheesy if he ran into a block of cheddar
😂😂
...thank you Foghorn Leghorn...
That was good! Thanks for the laugh!
Well, give the man a wedgie
Not sure why these are described as “cheesy.” They’re good.
incl. The Hustle???
Yes. Including "The Hustle".
Ian Smith-That was my thought about this video. Not sure OP knows what the term "cheesy" means.
Amen!
I agree. I mean "all right now". Really?
Nick Gilders "Hot Child in the City". Paper Lace "The Night Chicago Died." David Essex "Rock On"
Yes, all three. I still love Rock On. That bass.
Telephone Man by Mari Wilson, Convoy by CW McCall, I love the Nightlife by Alicia Bridges, Cruel to Be Kind by Nick Lowe, Afternoon Delight by Starland Vocal Band, The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia by Vicki Lawrence, Born to Be Alive by Patrick Hernandez, and King Tut by Steve Martin to name a few
Nick Lowe had other hits with rockpile
I can't allow naming Nick Lowe on principal alone :-) He has had too great a career to be relegated to 1 hit wonder. Plus he wrote "What's So Funny ('bout Peace, Love and Understanding)" and his band, Rockpile had a hit in 1980 called "Teacher Teacher."
But here are some true 1 hit wonders:
Jeans On - David Dundas
I Like Dreamin' - Kenny Nolan
Undercover Angel - Alan O'Day
Just When I Needed You Most - Randy Van Warmer
This guy is wrong with Nazareth. They absolutely ARE NOT a 1 hit wonder band. They have many hits. Maybe in this guy's universe they are.
@@johnhegarty1761 Still qualifies as a One Hit Wonder for "Cruel To Be Kind" ...
The “Born to be Alive” video is a riot
This guy is wrong with Nazareth. They absolutely ARE NOT a 1 hit wonder band. They have many hits. Maybe in this guy's universe they are.
What did they have besides Love Hurts? I get it, Hair of the Dog. It was a big album. But radio play?
It dont matter. They ARE NOT a 1 hit wonder.
Selav bergington tu mingo t
I stopped playing the list to comment about Nazareth. Calling them a one hit wonder got me riled up. Now you're messin' with a sonofabitch!
J W Ah forgot that one lol
Of course growing up in the ‘70’s i remember every single one of these songs! Great times and memories!!
There's nothing cheesy about Rapper's Delight, it rocks!
Best rap song period. Nothing in rap ever came close to it.
I could have done without the whole tangent regarding dinner at his friend's house. Was the rapper anorexic or something? And at the time, we did think it was pretty cheesy that they ripped off "Good Times" instead of coming up with their own beats.
My favorite on the list is my Sharona! I can’t help but move when I hear it....but, I must add that this video just bummed me out. Why you ask? Because maybe a couple of the songs were one hitters but we are talking about an entire generation of music, music that was the background to people’s lives! Calling it cheesy is giving the finger to those of us who grew up with the music and have a lifetime of memories with it.
Don't let the kid bum you out. He has no clue what "cheesy" or " one-hit wonder" even means. And he definitely doesn't know music from the 70's.
It's just click bait.
Ink Blot 67 just because they're old songs doesn't mean that they're classics!!
I prefer Weird Al's version of My Bologna!
@@michaelsalisbury1477 did you really just say that? DUH.
I never considered Brandy, Love hurts, Oo child, my sherona, alright now, or dancin in the moonlight to be cheesy.
When Toploader released Dancing in the Moonlight I had a feeling of deja vu but didn't realise it was a cover song.
My Sharona is like pure rock.
@@alukuhito It was not. It was the song that truly signified that "New Wave" and "punk" were NOT the same thing anymore. New Wave had become, well, cheezy. It was totally repetitive, had no point beyond "I dig this chick" and was basically the same two words and the same riff over and over again.
All right now is quite terrible imho
WTF?????? Not a single "cheesy" song here, rather all classics.
Right
So did they miss out The Birdie Song then?
Rock the Boat, Hues Corporation
Yeah, that bugged me too. The use of the word "cheesy" is pure clickbait ...
@@philipem1000 i
You light up my life is one of my all time favorite songs for many reasons. So many memories over the years. I love the Knack and got to see them live in 79. The drummer Bruce was a regular at Beatlefest in Los Angeles. Got to meet him in 2000. Sadly, he also has passed away.
*Although I was born in 1974, my parents were young and played these songs. Not cheesy at all*
Your use of bold is cheezy though.
Free and Nazareth were neither cheesy nor one hit wonders.
Ditto to that.
the Knack was also not a one-hit-wonder band, Good Girls Don't hit a No. 1 (in Canada) 11 in the U.S.
bleebu : Totally! I recently saw a similar list on so-called one hit wonders in the U.S., which included ‘Eric Burdon and War’ ... gulp!
Seriously!
@@bacojonibacojoni5189 ditto to your ditto
Brandy is still one of my favorite songs of all time. I first heard it when I played it in 7th grade Band. I didn’t hear the original version until I was in high school. Our high school band continued playing it in the stands at football games.
The “Dancing in the Moonlight “ history is so disturbing!
And I despise the song.
The Hustle is my favorite disco song of all time, closely followed by Donna Summer's "Last Dance" in second place. These two are the ultimate expression of good disco music to me. :-D
I liked every single one of those songs.
F***ing A.
I have a few of these on my playlist.
All Right Now should NEVER be placed in the "cheesiest' list
I might disgree with your use of the term " Chessy " In context with most of these songs But excellent video! Very informative and interesting storylines behind the hits. Good job and thanks for creating it.
Cheesy
nice job Nick it was a pleasure meeting you today thanks Big Mike
I see you Big Mike talk soon!
I feel sorry for anyone who thinks these songs are cheesy.
Who said that?🤷🏽
@@RoyCyberPunk Look at the title of the video. Duh
I thought that too I almost didn't even watch it because I thought it was gonna be cheesy
Obviously they have poor taste in music perhaps they would prefer Justin Bieber Ariana grande or Drake pitiful
Especially Free w/ Paul Rodgers..
Nazareth is definitely not a one hit wonder. They had many songs including hair of the dog.
What about this flight tonight? I know its a cover but they arnt one hit wonders
Holiday...drinkin my wine, makes me feel fine...
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who knew this.
Yeah, I don’t agree with the cheesy moniker either, some of these are fantastic....although some of them are downright awful like you light up my life....the backstory on dancing in the moonlight is disturbing
Yeah this list is understandably American biased.
It's offensive to refer to these very popular tracks as "cheesy." Also, most of these artists were not true "one hit wonders" as they actually charted other singles (such as Looking Glass' "Jimmy Loves Mary-Anne" and The Knack's "Good Girls Don't"). Besides those points, this features very interesting stories behind the hits.
I'm so glad My Sharona made it in your cut! I was just thinking of The knack and this very song the other day and I hadn't thought of it in years! Loved the video, thanks! ♥️
"Disco Duck" (Rick Dees); "Funkytown" (Lipps, Inc.); "More, More, More" (Andrea True); "Kung Fu Fighting" (Carl Douglas); "One Tin Soldier" (The Original Caste and also Jinx Dawson & Coven for the movie "Billy Jack"), "Afternoon Delight" (Starland Vocal Band), and "Babyface" (Wing and a Prayer Fife & Drum Corps). Just a few of the one-hit wonders of the 1970's to not make this list.
Don't forget Playground in My Mind and Run Joey Run.
I hear you. I totally agree that Run Joey Run belongs there and let's not forget a song called The Streak, Ethyl you get your clothes on! Lmao
@@randallbates9020 The streak isn't a one hit wonder, because Ray Stevens went on to have quite a few more hits, some major, some minor.
A one hit wonder refers to an artist who only had a single song or only one song that was a hit.
So Ray Stevens was not a one hit wonder, but David Geddes was, as Jun Joey Run was the only one of his that was a hit,.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Geddes_(musician)
Clint Holmes is another good example, with one of the most memorable one hit wonders of the 70s, Playground In My Mind. And that was his only song he ever had...
@@nowthatsjustducky I do happen to agree with you, I just remember the streak being one of those corny funny 70s songs, like the song I think was called Mr Jaws, freaking weird. Also Sammy Davis Jr did one called Candy man, YIKES. lololol. Thanks for your input.
@@randallbates9020 One thing about the Streak I have noticed, is that the song evolved notably over the years. Best version now, I think, is this one...
ruclips.net/video/XtzoUu7w-YM/видео.html
(And I predict this is going to get people binging Ray Stevens videos, which will lead to Tom Lehrer videos, which will lead to Weird Al videos, which will lead to "Where the hell did my weekend go?" )
Mr. Jaws, yeah, we had that on a 45. I think the guy went on to do another similar piece for Who Framed Roger Rabbit. But that never really became popular. I guess in that regard, Whimsical Wil could be considered a one hit wonder.
I do still find myself quoting Mr. Jaws occasionally, I must admit
All Right Now is far from “cheesy”. And lumping Free in with these other one hit wonders is grossly unfair. Free was a rock band from the era of Album Rock. The album All Right Now came from (Fire and Water) charted in the top 20 (US). And they went on to record several more albums and are considered a very influential rock/blues band to this day. Paul Rogers and Paul Kossoff are considered two of the greatest of their respective crafts.
Mr. Big, love the bass line.
Agreed. 'Easy on my soul' one of my all time favourite tracks!
Oh yeah... Free was the kind of band that was admired by Led Zeppelin.
I suppose it doesn't really counter the (not really accurate) description of Free as a one hit wonder, but you didn't mention what came after the band broke up. When Free split up Rodger (along with drummer Simon Kirke) went on to form Bad Company, which was hugely successful for the first few years. Their eponymous debut album reached #1 on the US charts and became the 46th best selling album of the 70's. After leaving Bad Company Rodgers formed The Firm with Jimmy Page, then after spending a bunch of time on mostly solo projects he spent a couple of years touring as the singer for Queen. The clown who made this video is obviously far more interested in clicks than in quality or accuracy.
@@NYpaddler 100% Agreed... however, I would argue that Free was a top notch band, and that they would have been very influential if we'd never heard another peep from them after Free broke up. (as much of a shame as that would have been.) No insult intended - just a joke among friends who appreciate this band - saying Bad Company came out of the remains of Free is kinda like saying Blind Faith came out of Cream, and Wings came out of The Beatles. Paul Rodgers sang with Queen - yeah, David Bowie sang with Bing Crosby, too. (I'm sorry, I am just riffing here. :) ) Free may have been a two hit wonder... Fire and Water... but "by the time they disbanded, they had sold more than 20 million albums and had played more than 700 arena and festival concerts." (wikipedia quote)
Loved this video. Thanks for taking the time to compile it!
Thanks for tuning in Chris! 😎
I remember signing You light up my life in junior chorus. We had fun and I will always love that song. BTW Debbie Boone was gorgeous and that's the truth.
Terrible song. So sappy and awful.
Okay so where are the cheesy songs because none of these are. How about Disco Duck, now that was awful.
and we still sang along...
Disco Duck sucks big time!
How about "A Fifth of Beethoven" or my personal favorite, the Star Wars disco song only released on a 45 rpm single.
@@paulraider2001 Do you think A Fifth of Beethoven was cheese or that it was a one-hit wonder? I love that song but I know that not everyone agrees.
You Light Up My Life is the Brie of cheesy songs.
Didn't even mention Disco Duck by Rick Dees. That's the cheesiest song of the 70s
Or how about the streak?
You guys can't be serious! Convoy was by far the biggest one off of the century!
It was the sixth of June with a Kenworth haulin' hogs...
Something like that anyway. They did end up with a fuggin' convoy as the song wended it way!
Muskrat love
It is...most definitely.
Kung Fu fighting, The night Chicago died? Too bad it didn't....
Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" comes to mind. Also, Carl Douglas' "Kung Fu Fighting."
I was a kid when "Brandy" came out. Man, that song was on the radio all the time, everywhere. "Welcome to National Public Radio News Hour and from Washington the latest on the Watergate break-in, but but first, here's Looking Glass with Brandy!"
The only cheesy thing about this is the commentary. These are great old classics of musical history that I listened to on the radio as a child of the seventies.
I have most of these on 45 rpm record
Get your facts about the 70s--.
These are good songs, nothing cheesy
Probably 2 or 3 times an hour
Umm. There is no way in hell that Love hurts was a cheesy song. That song was amazing.
Better by Everly Brothers
My brain keeps changing it to Butt Hurt.
Seems like several did love hurts
Great video, actually some great songs here. So cool to have Curtis Armstrong narrating these videos, lol
Cheesy one-hit wonders from my formative years?? I am loving this so much! Well done. ☮️❤️
Hello Ellen, How are you doing?
"Brandy" is one of the greatest songs ever written.
It was summer 1972 and I was cruising uptown in a 70 Dodge Charger 440 Six Pack. I was sitting at a stop light when this beautiful blonde haired girl in tight bell bottom jeans walks in front of my car. At that moment Brandy came on the radio. Those are the magic moments we will always remember. And yes, I dated her for 2 years and we are still friends.
I agree. You feel like you're there. Very empathetic and the first Tony Blackburn record of the week on BBC Radio 1 I remember
Yes, barmaid's anthem ☺
Brandy is not a one hit wonder. Looking Glass also charted with Jimmy Loves Mary Jane
The Knack also charted with Good Girls Don’t, which charted relatively well. They also charted in early 1980 with Baby Talks Dirty, which cracked the top 40 from their second album. It almost sounds like My Sharona.
starland vocal band's 'afternoon delight' and carl douglas's kung fu fighting.
Especially since Kung fu is in the opening montage🤷♀️
YAAS! Awesome songs that I also loved singing along to. ❤️👍
funny thing was during a radio marathon of the 100 best songs of the 70s they play kungfu fighting as number 1. the kids in the drug home i worked for all freaked out. turned out it was a joke before playing stairway to heaven.
I still love that song. Its just fun, and catchy.
"Surely not everybody was king full fighting."
My 22 year old daughter sings a lot of these songs. They are so much fun 🤩
Remembered every single song!! Great video! Thanks! ❤❤❤
Labeling these songs "cheesy" is just plain wrong! These are great tunes from my era!
Especially Brandy by Looking Glass.
Agreed, Patrick J!
Free and Nazareth. One hit wonders? Someone is having a laugh.
They are both great bands.
They both only had 1 song hit the top 40 in the USA. They are considered one hit wonders because of the singles chart.
Bill Graper The funny thing is that the hit singles are worst songs. Hair of the Dog is a great album and Love Hurts is the worst song, in my opinion.
@@NuckyArch18 I think "Love Hurts" was the most "commercial" song for radio. I absolutely love that song. I don't know many Nazareth songs, but I still put it a little bit above "Hair Of The Dog." Both songs are amazing though.
Bill Graper Check out Rose in the Heather. That is my favorite song from that album.
Great video and memories!
Love this music!! I still listen to it today! Thank you very much!!!
There's not a bad song on the list. In fact, all of them are excellent.
I just instructed RUclips to not recommend this channel. Pathetic criticism. Completely contrived.

@@steveherlihy7904 And I thought, he threw himself in front of Donna Summer's tour bus.

You missed "Afternoon Delight" by the Starlight Vocal Band. The definitive one hit wonder.
And stood out amongst many
In that era a coffee house near us sold "Afternoon Delight" bread pudding. It was a bunch of left over cakes and desserts from the day before baked with eggs, cream, cinnamon and served boiling hot with heavy cream. It cost an astonishing 5 dollars in 1972 and the most popular thing on the menu.
The song afternoon delight played several times a day to make people order it, which they did.
THat one.
I thought they had a tv show? Not sure.
@@sharondelaney9153 They actually did have a TV Show.
I'm new to this channel
Man his yet to invent a time machine you my friend have come very close
Great stuff love it keep it up dude
I met Sharona Alperin in Los Angeles at a conference thirty five years ago. She may not have been 18 anymore but she was still the most beautiful woman in the room. When I was introduced to her she was surprised that I hadn't commented on her name. I told her I was already halfway through the song in my head and she laughed!
So many others to mention. The 70's was the ultimate one hit wonder decade. I would have included: Feelings by Morris Albert, Afternoon Delight by Starland Vocal Band, More, More, More by Andrea True Connection, Fly Robin Fly by The Silver Convention. I could go on. Maybe do a top 40 one hit wonders from the 70's.
At least half of these songs were never widely considered to be "cheesy."
When I'm sad and depressed every time I play that song or hear that song "You light up my life" it just lifts me up and reminds me through my tears of Joy that GOD is still with me. I imagine that the strings in that song are his loving Angels hitting high notes with their voices.😌
Thank you for sparing us Afternoon Delight!
Paper lace the night Chicago died.billy don’t be a hero come to mind
No, they had another hit called
*"Billy Don't Be A Hero"* ...
Yep. Billy Don’t be a Hero was a hit for Paper Lace in the UK, and then almost immediately covered by Bo Donaldson for a hit in the US.
Paper Lace were not one hit wonders though
Again same as Nazareth and Free they had a string of hits after Opportunity Knocks.
Bo Donaldson and the Haywoods
Billy Don't be Hero
Special Someone
Banging line up. My only dog’s name was Brandy. She was a fine girl.
Good Girls Don't by the Knack, the follow up single, went to #4.
Almost every "expert" has no clue what a one hit wonder is. lol
I remember a lot of these songs buy My Sherona is a favorite. Loved to skate round and round the
local roller skating rink to the song. Good memories.
Hi there? Hope you're good & staying safe??
I remember all these songs.. The 70's were the best time for music.
"Brandy"- this song was played like in a continuous loop at the 'Top Of The Hill" enlisted man's club at Newport Naval Base, Rhode Island back in the day. It really reached us sailor boys who felt duty first, love second.
You're so right. I was in the Navy at the time and man, that song just did something great for us.
@duke harden Diane Renay (born July 13, 1945), born Renee Diane Kushner, is an American pop singer, best known for her 1964 hit song, "Navy Blue".
Would probably make a good RUclips video- "The songs for guys who served" or something like that.
Ah, yes. 1979 the year of my engagement within a movement. Special times. Memorable music. Keep these memories flowing, especially in these trying times.
All of these songs are great.. Thank you
Free and "All Right Now" are not even close to a one-hit wonder. One of the more influential bands of the 70's.
Absolutely. Love Free
some folks think there only one country in the world
@@duxberry1958 Too true. Too sad :-)
@Terry Brown Kossof is my favourite guitarist ever and yes, taken way too soon.
so were The Grateful Dead but they are also a One Hit Wonder. get over the stigma and accept facts
When they started talking about Brandy by looking glass, they show a pic of Uriah Heap:)
Should have mentioned that Barry Manilow changed his song from Brandy to Mandy, after this hit.
That's what I thought. I recognized David Byron and Mick Box right off.
I love and miss all this music 🎶 Real talent. So thankful to have grown up during the 70s & 80s...It was the best of times and we didn't even know it.
The 1970s, the best decade in Human History. That is why haters hate it so much, because they couldn't be there.
I LOVED THE VIDEO.
Daniel
David Bowie (in the intro clip) is not a one hit wonder.
Definitely....!
That just shows how fucking stupid and ignorant this uploader really is.
They were just showing him as representative of the 70s. They didn't say he was a one-hit wonder.
@@alukuhito Since the entire context of the video is one hit wonders, let's just call it misguided to include one of the most accomplished music artists ever.
@@999torino Yeah, but they didn't say he was one of those. Maybe he was put in for the sake of contrast. Notice who it was right at the beginning? It's like a good essay. You state some contrasting opinions to your own before explaining your own. Anyway, it doesn't matter. No need to get so upset by a free video that never even said David Bowie was a one-hit wonder, let alone mention his name. Move along.
Nazareth's LOVE HURTS qualifies as one of the greatest rock hits of all time.
"Love Hurts" is the first so-called "metal ballad".
@Bro Lovelace The album? Or the song? I have that on my hard drive but I almost never play it. I prolly otta get familiar with it.
Get real.
Hair of the Dog was better
That song sucks.
This was great fun...though I question Free as a just a 1 hit wonder band. The Stealer single charted the Billboard top 100 & the rest of the catalogue included other follow-ups & LP cuts that got serious airplay. And Paul Rogers is considered as one of the top rock vocalists of all time. You also left off a fave one hitter by Daddy Dewdrop (Dick Monda's pseudonym) Chick-A-Boom was memorable to many a young man's fancy & a great novelty hit!
"Love Hurts" was written and composed by "Boudleaux Bryant". And first recorded by the (Everly Brothers in 1960). I'm not sure? But, 'Love Hurts' may not have been Nazareth's only hit. "Hair of the Dog" was also a top-20 hit on the album charts. And a much better song. And not only did (Van McCoy the Hustle) kick off new dance craze. But it helped to usher the Disco era.
I think Jim Capaldi did the best version of Love Hurts!
There's nothing cheesy about Nazareth. And they weren't a one hit wonder.
Nor was there anything cheesy about Free. All Right Now is an iconic rock and roll classic.
i dont think he is right about dancing in the moonlight either. I was told that it was originally to be singing in the moonlight, then some one in the studio decided to change the lyrics and wala it was written. i saw an interview with the original band the song was originally Mandy. but guess what so was a Barry Manilow song that year.. so they renamed it Brandy as they put it to not confuse radio audiences. how ever i do think the lead singer mentioned something about a Randy.
Love me some Nazareth
I take it these comments are based on the American chart and not the British, just to correct a couple of errors, Free highest position was 2 not 1 stayed there for 5 weeks. Nazareths had many hits love hurts being the highest chart position not no1 though. My personal favorite of Nazareth is a track called 'My white bicycle'
@@adriangibson1993 That's a good one. Nazareth were great at cover versions.
The first band picture for the Brandy story was actually Uriah Heep.
Glad I scrolled down before I made that comment, I wondered if anyone else caught that?👍🏼

Definitely Uriah Heep. David Byron is hard to miss ... 😄
Yeah was gonna say something too, glad I checked first. 😜

Hues Corporation. It's a pun on Hughes Corporation because the group was black.
@@recordman64 I was talking about the song....name is kind of cheesy too.
Yea that was a good one~!!
Did you guys never hear of Hair of the Dog by Nazareth? Not a one-hit-wonder by any means.
.....seen them back in the day at Hammond civic building in Indiana ! Loud with ear splitting treble that actually gave me hearing loss !
Agree, Nazareth were not one hit wonders
And they are still going strong, albeit with only a couple of original members!
"♫ Now your messin' with it...sonovabiiiiyitch ♫" It's on my travel playlist on my ipod.
This flight tonight, Love hurts, Razamataz
So many good ones...Chevy Van, KungFu Fighting, Moonlight Feels Right, Drivers Seat!!!!
Dancing in the Moonlight was one of my favourite songs of all time
You can clear the room,
by playing Debbie Boone...
The Knack had two big hits. They had My Sharona, which went to number one, and they also had Good Girls Don't, which went to number eleven on the Billboard Hot 100.
Couldn't agree more.
Good Girls don't.... But I do....... Now I will have that song stuck in my head for the rest of the night....
In University (winter 1979 or maybe early 1980) I lived in a 13th floor apartment overlooking a school field.
Someone stomped through the snow and spelled: “Good girls don’t, but KELLY P does”!
Surprisingly, neither Kelly P or any friends attempted to remove it. It lasted most of that winter!
Baby Talks Dirty from their second album hit #38 as well.
I was thinking about "Good Girls Don't" too
If the song wasn’t in a marvel movie did you know about it. My Sharona wasn’t cheesy
Surprisingly yes, sometimes I wonder if Disney and Marvel got a hold of my music list.
I used to dance in the living room when Soul Train was on! I love ALL the songs on this video!! I'm new to your channel, but so far I don't understand your point of view. You've slammed all my favorite songs! I can tell how young you are simply because you have no depth to your understanding. I can STILL sing Sugarhill's Rapper's Delight. I look kinda silly, bc I'm a little fat white mamaw now, but I fondly remember singing that with my friends while disco dancing on roller skates in the center of the rink.
It's pretty weird to call "Free" a one-hit-wonder, given that they sold over 20,000,000 albums in just a four year career with just 6 releases.
It's like this:
14 yr old kid: you don't know shit man.
Old man: you bother me kid
14 yr old kid makes video about when the old man was a teen.
Old man : you don't know shit kid.
This has been going on since Adam told Cain that he was doing it wrong.
..and All Right Now is hardly "cheesy".
None of these songs are cheesy!! They are true classics and legends.
I love "Dancing in the Moonlight" it's one of my favorite songs.
Bad Company! All right now!🥁🎸🎸🎸🎷🎺🎻🎶🎵🎼🎚🎙🎤🎧 Now i feel old! Lol 😂 👵👴
Moonlight Feels Right...Starbuck...a band I worked for during the time I just graduated high school and before my Boot Camp date arrived 8 months later...
I stayed in the house of the guy who produced My Sharona when in college with some college friends. I slept on his couch and he had all the gold , silver, bronze records of that song framed on his walls. lol
My 11th Grade School Year 1972-1973 Free Played Alright Now on the Stage at Niagara Falls High School
That’s something I’ll never forget
"Brandy" is one of my all time favorite songs. I love all these song. None of them are cheesy AT ALL!!
Hi there? Hope you're good & staying safe??
How about "Smoking in the Boy's Room" by Brownsville Station? It was on the chart but I can't remember how high.
Lol
Brownsville Station was actually a two-hit wonder. They had a follow-up called "I'm the Leader of the Gang (I am)."
@@georgecundari2 And before "Smokin'", they had a hit with "Let Your Yeah Be Yeah".
@@recordman64 I don't think I've ever heard that song.
@@georgecundari2 It's from 1972, a couple of years earlier. It's a cover of a reggae tune by Jimmy Cliff.
These people are right Nazareth is NOT a one hit wonder.
Nazereth only had only one US Top 40 hit, but many internationaly.
O-O-H Child by the Five Stairsteps would be my favorite in that collection Alohe Burke and her Contralto tenor voice hits everything soothing within my soul
Brandy has always been one of my favorite songs! And you should really never mess with ‘Bad Company’!
Hello Penny, How are you doing?
